Bought a flute from you 20 years ago ... Thank you ... I still have it with me it's been all over world with me from north America to Europe now in Asia. I never go anywhere without it. 😊
Eric, I'm a 74+ year old guy. I don't usually comment on anything I see on facebook or youtube. You have, however, made a great impression on me. Your salesmanship is at the master level. You have made me want to own and learn to play your Kiowa Love Flute. Thanks for the inspiration! I'll place an order on your website tomorrow (I don't do business on the Sabbath, unless it's an ox in the mire situation.).
I have a high spirit flute, which means different note, but I love my flute. It will take time to learn. I played it once a day. You will get frustrated at first but hang tight, your notes will become Beauitful.
Much love and prayers to you, because nigh 40 years have I played your flutes. They are soothing, and I commune with them. My daughter (almost 5) loves the sound, and they put my son (almost 1) to sleep. You are, and will always be an important part of me and my family. Thank you for the work you have done! My wife works on transparent causes to build clean-water wells in Africa...mostly the DRC, Burundi, Rwanda, and Uganda...in addition to her other jobs. I help her in additional to my job. We are one tribe on this Earth, and need to help each other. I love music, and I am passing that on to my children. And thanks to you, I have true legacies to pass on to both children as personal treasures, to learn, and eventually teach their children. Your verses are part of my life-song, and will be sung for many generations, God-willing. Blessings upon all you do and seek!
The Kiowa Love Flute is a beautiful token of memory that we have to remember a once noble, humble and peace loving tribe which to the worlds dispair were almost plunged into extinction and driven from their native plains. Play on brother. The sound is heavenly.
I just today got home from a church picnic and Fedex had dropped off my flute. This flute is SO SWEET and humble I nearly choked up. When I began to play my heart jumped for joy! I have only been playing for about 2 months. Im so happy with this flute, its like it found me, not the other way around. Because of this instrument in a short time I hope to be an instrument of Gods peace, solace and joy to share with the masses. Thank you Erik the Flutemaker!!!
Eric, I just bought one from you and it has changed my life. The flute and your DVD are fantastic. The sounds is incredible and you are an excellent teacher. Thank you with all of my heart.
To anyone who has ever tried and failed at meditation, consider this flute. You do not blow into it, you breathe ever so slightly. It forces you to relax in order to make the sounds. The layout is such that just going up and down the scale sounds beautiful. Before long, you are improvising and meditating at the same time. Watch his videos and visit his site for more bamboo wind instruments. He hand crafts flutes, saxes, and different flute styles from around the world. I highly recommend it
Just received your flute and I love the sound so much. It is so easy to play and I love play it intuitivly. Very calm and peaceful. ❤ My heart jumps! ❤
I just bought a concert tuned Kiowa Love Flute from these guys and yes...it is that beautiful! Erik is using reverb on his flute to enhance it for the video. But they are in fact that wonderful in person. I have gotten 3 other flutes from them...the Kiowa is my favorite (along with my oriental flute).
Wow, thanks, soft, gentle and very beautiful, just what I've been seeking. Been also influenced by Mary Youngblood, R. Carlos Nakai, John deBoer, I have been sharing what songs I've learnt at open Mike sessions in UK am busking also to earn some money to purchase my 2nd flute, I am receiving typical comments such as, This is exactly What I Needed To Hear. I feel blessed to be able to play this sacred instrument and share the sacred sounds to whom ever chooses to listen. Peace Joy and Love to You and Your Loved Ones
I am from Brazil, and I loved this Kiowa flute, because the sound is so special, and because it looks easier to learn than the others... I thing it could be a good beggining to me.... I will TRY to find one of those here, in Rio de Janeiro.... Thank You for your words of wisdom. Karen Sato.
Hello Erik.....I purchased one of your "Kiowa" flutes in 2009, and just wanted to say I still have it, still play it, and still love it! Thanks again for your inspiring us to enjoy your uniquely crafted flutes. God Bless!
My 49th birthday is coming this month and I do believe my sons are going to purchase this flute from you as a gift to dad here. My extensive research over nearly two months led me here and to your website. I am excited and eager to learn and practice. I hope they purchase the humble natural as this is fitting for me but I will be grateful no matter what it looks like on the outside. I am very grateful for your sharing of this wonderful instrument and instructional video's.
Hi Erik, The sound coming from that flute has made me decide too buy one. It is such a beautiful sound and I just can’t wait to get it! Thank you so much🙏
Thank you for this easy to understand intro to flute playing, just got a small beginner flute for xmas, after hearing this flute i know what my next flute will be. Thanks again--Blessings
All I knew about flutes was what I learned at school, but last summer I went to Bolivia, and I met the Quena. I got one, and I´ve beem trying to play it, but it is pretty difficult... I found your videos here in youtube and I´m following your words, that seemed full of knowledge, and truth. Karen Sato

MY DAUGHTER MIRIAM IS HAVING ONE MADE FOR ME AND IT WILL BE MAILED TO ME. I PLAY BY EAR AND HAVE PLAYED PIANO AND SOMEONE HAD A SIMPLE RECORDER THEY GAVE ME...AND I HAVE PLAYED ON THAT JUST FOR FUN...AND I LOVE TO SING...SO THIS IS NEW TO ME TO TRY WHEN IT COMES. I CAN'T WAIT. SUCH A LOVELY SOUND. SOFT...NOT LIKE A RECORDER! HA... OK, GOD BLESS - LEARNED FROM THIS VIDEO. THANKS. PATRICIA
@AxelTiger I like the deeper sound so I asked Erik and he recommended F minor. Other wood flutes have a higher pitch, like a traditional metal flute. For me, I wanted to learn to use it to help me meditate. The key of F is very full and deep. Another common key is A minor. Good native american flute samples to decide what you like the best.
Hi Bobby, the Kiowa is a soft and quiet flute, needed to to blown gently, it was said that the player had to blow so soft that it drew anger out of them, I don't think your neighbors will be upset. However, my small double flute can be quite loud. regards, Erik the Flutemaker.
I feel the sounds make you happy or meditativeI recently I heard a traditional Indian flute tune and sound played on a metal concert flute ,to my surprise. If you want to worship God, offer all your experiences to that center in your heart where God has also learned your skills for you.
Erik, Looking forward to getting one of these soon, is the one you are playing The Easy Kiowa inspired Love flute or the Concert Kiowa Inspired Love flute in G and F.
I love this flute, I bought one myself in Arizona... But somehow I don't get any sound out of it... Is it because I'm not blowing right or did I just buy a flute meant for decoration?
Hi, but I have a question? Is this acceptable to play this instrument late at night outside in your garden if you have neighbors or is the tone too high, i noticed you saying it was a double chamber flute at 2:05 and when you blow down the flute it made quite a loud high pitch noise Thanks keep up the great stuff coming
Hi erik, great flutes. I have been making flutes out of bamboo for a few months now. I was wondering how you get the sound so rich? i tend to have a little bit too much of an air sound. I assume it has to do with the bird and nest. do you have any advice? thanks, great flutes!
Hi Eric, I love your work. I'm looking at getting my first flute from your website and was wondering which one I should start out on? I am split between the Egyptian flute, the pennywhistle, and this Kiowa flute. Which one would you recommend?
+007nikster2 Hi: I recommend visiting eriktheflutemaker.com listening, watching the videos and reading up on our instruments. Before you know it , your heart will lead you. Try not to buy a flute or sax that is too big for your hand span. hope this helps, Erik

I've been looking for a soothing flute and this seems to be the best to my ear. Where can I purchase one. I looked on ebay but didn't find any. Any suggestions?
That is a good swindle it's called EXPLOITATION sukka!
Nice playing, I don't think it's right to call this a Kiowa flute since it doesn't have the right finger holes and it doesn't warble .
I can't do that
