Michel Polnareff a.k.a. "L'Amiral" is really classical in french song and french culture. That song is very beautiful and his voice is so incredible. It can get so high. And, since you loved that song, you should also listen to and react to : "Lettre à France" also by Michel Polnareff. That song is pretty sad but so beautiful and i'm pretty sure that you will love it.

Ah you found Michel Polnareff! Very cool! He first made it big with Ame Celine in 1967- a wonderful song, covered worldwide as an instrumental called Soul Coaxing. He’s lived quite an interesting life. Some struggles here and there but an amazing talent.

Yes !!! Michel Polnareff is a famous pianist. It is worth listening to him live.
"Live at the Roxy" recorded live in LA in ths 90's is very good.
Marylou is so modern talking about numeric relations with the ancester of Internet.
As many people say, try without doubt :
    Lettre à France
    Love me, please love me
    Je suis un homme
    On ira tous au Paradis
    Âme câline
    Tam Tam
Qui a tué grand maman ?
    Le bal des Laze
    And so on...

That guy is liked a lot by mangakas in japan with numerous references in huge mangas such as One Piece (Doflamingo) and Jojo's Bizarre Adventure (Polnareff) - The inspiration for characters such as Paul in Tekken or Benimaru in KOF

I am french and he is a kind of "monument of the music in France " since the 60's 😉 he wrote this song before internet came around he was a visionnaire.
He wrote this song at the royal Monceau hotel in Paris back then he stayed at this place for month in the dark because he discovered he couldn't to see anymore. And he had a sugery and came back to the light again .😌😉

I think this one is worth a review among his repertoire. Instrumentally and voice ahead of his decade.

You mentioned his collaboration with Mike Oldfield. This is a great path to go down. Check out Mike Oldfield with Maggie Riley and their huge hit Moonlight Shadow from 1983.
