thank you so much. I had no clue about the steam workshop download website. I wanted to port an old csgo map of mine to cs2, but apparently I have deleted all files before. I thought that I had to start from the beginning again. :D

Any idea how I can fix this? I can't find any documentation on this problem; bspsrc only gave a "materials" and "detail.vbsp" after decompile, nothing to do with models...
Is this still a viable tool? I noticed that you said in the description that valve broke the tool. Which tool? There were a few in this video.
I was able to follow most of this but I had a scripts folder in my unpacked .bsp file. I followed the same idea as you did with the models and maps folder (copied it into the scripts folder). Additionally, I did not have a models folder in my unpacked .bsp file.
I couldn't find the hammer tool you are talking about, is that what is broken?
Hey, I would recommend that you joined the discord, there are tons of talented people there that could help you better that I ever could. However, the broken part is the python script fyi.

Salut, j' ai une map à compiler et j' ai bien tenter de suivre ton tuto (et même d' autres) mais à chaque fois j' ai des erreurs est-ce que tu pourrais m' aider ? (j' avais passer pas mal d' heures à la faire du coup je voudrais la remettre sur CS2).

Hey, yes and no. Yes, you can port any map like that, no you can't as cs2 has a bug with ramps. You should highly join the discords to discuss that with way more talented people than me

Been having some issues with porting, having to do with the import script. Keep getting an error about a prefab txt file not being found. Everything in the tutorial seems to work properly, I just think I might be missing something

@@godbibo thank you, I ended up getting it working for one of the 2 maps I was trying. Don’t know what changed but I was able to figure it out and I joined the discord. Seems like a very helpful group

Hey I trying to port training_aim_csgo2 but always fail at powershell. It cant find some items in addons or something... Can u try to port this map?

you do have it downloaded, but you just gotta filter your library for "tools" instead of just "games" and "software"
hi, i did everything, installed python beforehand and the powershell threw me a message saying python cant be found. what should i do?

@@LaptopGameMan hey, you might not have added python to your path environment variable. Either you manage to do it yourself or join the source engine discord to get help :D
@@godbibo it shows basically everything as an error in powershell that i literally did the same way as you in the video or how its shown on the site.

Thank you for sharing information regarding porting. But i heard that CSGO will be deleted as of January 1st. Is there a way to port it even if it is deleted?
As far as I know, CSGO won't be deleted, but just not supported any more. We don't know for sure what is going to happen but it's likely that the porting tool is going to stay. However, at the moment, it's kinda broken. Despite all of this, I'll recommend you to join the discord to get help and port as soon as possible your map

@@godbibo Actually, it was a map from another game. But I failed. I enter a command where the tool should convert the map from csgo to cs2. But I press enter and nothing happens in the console. I waited for over 2 hours and nothing happened.

Thanks! But I have a problem, unfortunately there is no material, models, maps folders in the .bsp file. I dont know why. Anybody some ideas?
No problem! One solution is that map only uses CSGO base materials
