For the Maldives. health care waste management remains a critical issue due to the lack of infrastructure for managing the waste generated both in health care facilities and in waste management sites.
UNDP, with the generous backing of Japan is supporting the Maldives with a project to address inadequate health care waste processes and techniques in health care centres.
