Hello Friends, few of you here asked me if I painted those images myself or if these are digital creations. I think it's good to ask and thank you for it. So, have I hand-painted those images myself ? I wish to have so much time and enough talent to paint over 1000 elements for the books but I didn't hand paint those images. I have created them digitally with ipad drawing and painting tools, AI programs and editing software on my laptop. You may ask why ? There isn't one easy answer so let me explain :) I have been teaching art & craft on my TH-cam channel for many years and these have always been my most important tasks. I wanted to inspire others to actually sit down at their desk, grab a paint, marker, glue, book, scissors, anything just to be creative and accomplish something while watching my videos. Why do I mention this ? Because it's so important to mention, thanks to my art journaling videos many people from all over the world started their own art journaling journey. For many my videos became part of their everyday life and I am so grateful for that. I can't imagine trading making videos for something else. For the past months I have been making videos as always but feeling void. I was feeling that my projects are missing something, that elements that I am using are not what I wish to use and what I envisioned... and one day I realised, Marta if you can't find it, make it. I tried to paint the elements but painting this beautifully as I wished would take me months to learn and master it... and if I commit to it, it would mean no more time to record videos. And the question is would I actually hand-paint this beautifully ? With me being a super impatient arty soul waiting this long was like a torture without even knowing the final results. I believe I would create way less collage elements than in digital form, there would be very small choices and possibly I would not make a book, definitely not 4 books to play and enjoy :) I thought that in order to still be present for everyone with my videos, record regularly and feel inspired I need to make my own elements that I dreamed to use for so long. As we honestly speak, I tried to find someone to create digital elements for myself. Guess what, they came back with graphics that I could not use or publish because not only were they not this nice but most importantly they were nowhere close to who I am and my visions (even though I explained exactly what I needed, they were professionals and it was simply not doable. I believe no one will do what's in your mind better than yourself). This is where I understood that modern technology could come handy only if I do it on my own. I wanted to create books that are filled with as many pretty images as possible, images that will spark creativity and be loved by so many. I wanted a huge choice, a feeling that every page is worth cutting and using in your art journals. I wished for affordable books that are accessible for everyone no matter where they are in the world. I know that for many this is a controversial topic, feels unsettling but the reality is we have the tools, they go nowhere and it only depends on us how we are gonna use it, embrace it and push the boundaries to see what's possible in art. This creative process of making my books was very inspirational for me and this new way of creative expression gave me a lot of joy that I hope I transmitted to my books. I hope I gave you a tool to keep making your art, be creative, feel inspired and simply happy. If I achieved this with my books that all it matters. It's good to ask and I am always happy to answer. But I must say those last days have been bittersweet due to some unkind comments as well. Comment where someone is more concerned about how the images were made than how many crafters will feel inspired to get out from their creative block. Comment denying my work put into those books, if the art is stolen and more. Actually it's funny how our brain operates, you get 500 amazing comments (and thank you for them) but then you will have one or two negative comments and it will stay in your mind for days... Therefore I feel I need to explain and defend myself...I had only good intentions in heart. For all these years I have been truthful and open to talk so here I am telling my story. On one hand I am thinking, "why did you start this Marta ? But honestly I knew that making those books may bring some unpleasant words, that I will even be called out names but for me creating something for the community was far more important than those not so friendly words. Lastly, but most importantly seeing your art with the book elements shared in my Facebook group (Maremi's Creative Cafe) and Instagram tells me I made the right decision in bringing those books to life ! I journal because of you. I make cards and tags because of you. My mom passed in 2020, and I didn’t handle losing her very well. My grief was messy and painful. I sat hours watching you. I started just journaling without thinking and my anxiety and grief slowly became manageable. You never knew me and had no idea my life, but you Marta helped me more than any doctors visit could. I’m proud of you and I’m Ordering your books. I love your heart. There will always be jealous people, that’s what those mean comments boil down to. Thank you for your honesty Marta and I just wanted to be honest with you. I have bought all your courses and books that you have published before and I just love them and still have many cut outs left to use so that is one of the reasons that I haven't bought your new ones yet. My other reason is that I'm split about using AI as you have, I have also used AI but to create references and then I paint it myself but like I said I haven't decided yet what I think. 😂 At the same time I think, should Marta care what I think? Your books are the best I've seen. Absolutely gorgeous!! ❤ I find it interesting that people would be so mean. There seems to be a concerted effort on this planet to squash what brings each one of us joy (we've been programmed to do it to each other); and to block us from reaching our full potential, and it's time for this behaviour to end. Creating those books brought YOU joy. Creating beautiful art with your elements brings ME joy. It's a win-win, no matter how we each choose to create. When you see those comments, know that those people have fallen victim to the toxic programming on this planet; they know not what they do, or why they do it. It's sad, but I believe they are a little dead inside. Send them a little prayer that they will someday see the light, and continue on being your beautiful self. I see books like these and usually I find a few things I love but never enough for me to purchase because I just don't love enough of the images. I am not lying when I say I loved every single page of yours I saw!!! Every single image!!! If I can afford it I will buy at least one, hopefully all!!! Great job!!! Each page is stunning!! Love how it is matte with so many beautiful color choices. Also how all the books flow together so well!! Different sizes is awesome as well! I like to share with you that, when I'm having a bad day, or it's rainy and dark during the day; I put one of your videos on and I journal along with you, and it complete the changes how I see the world. it gives me such peace, I lose track of time and it's probably the only selfish thing I do. But I just love mixed media and journalling

Can you tell me more about the paper? I need to use a cutter for fussy cutting and if the paper is to thin it jams and doesn’t cut well. Is the paper thicker than regular copy paper?

Marta i am so happy for you. Lovely to hear the joy in your voice. Its hard to choose. For me its definitely the chronicals because i could use the whole without having to fussy cut. I love that you did half pages and also landscape pages so you can fold for the middle of a signature. Fairies are my favorite collage book. There are lots of butterflies and flowers around but these Fairies are so different . So many styles of faces and bodies...some cutesy and others elegant. I love them all. Such a beautiful collection of books that look even better in person! The fairies reminded me so much of Hannah and Emily that my mouth dropped in surprise! They are truly adorable fairies. I bought each and every book and it was money well spent. The images are gorgeous and I love that you have various sized elements too. comments have been made about AI and hand drawn...I will be buying probably two to use as a sort of field guides for my own water coloring projects painting. These will perfectly give me just the inspiration that I need. Every thing about them just screams 'paint me, paint me!!! I'm so ready to have some beautiful vintage focal points that are not part of the same old standard that are available anywhere and everywhere. Im ordering Vintage Botanicals and butterflies. Beautiful collage books I can’t decide which to purchase first! Perfect Mother’s Day gift for me, I plan to send my husband the link so he can purchase them for me. The collection is absolutely stunning, thank you for making these gorgeous collage collections for us. My feedback is to please include culturally inclusive images in the next collection, I noticed in the Fairies collection the Fairies appear all to be Caucasian, I’d prefer representation in the images from around the entire globe, Asian Pacific Islander, Black, indigenous, People of color in all collections that include images of people, fairies, etc. Congratulations on this really beautiful collection ❤

Marta, the books look absolutely beautiful!! I have seen so many different books for sale that I thought were nice enough, but most had so many images in them that I just would never use, so buying them didn't make sense to me. But every image in your books is stunning and I can't imagine not wanting to use them all! I am certainly going to be placing an order for all of them. Hello Friends, few of you here asked me if I painted those images myself or if these are digital creations. I think it's good to ask and thank you for it. So, have I hand-painted those images myself ? I wish to have so much time and enough talent to paint over 1000 elements for the books but I didn't hand paint those images. I have created them digitally with ipad drawing and painting tools, AI programs and editing software on my laptop. You may ask why ? There isn't one easy answer so let me explain :) I have been teaching art & craft on my TH-cam channel for many years and these have always been my most important tasks. I wanted to inspire others to actually sit down at their desk, grab a paint, marker, glue, book, scissors, anything just to be creative and accomplish something while watching my videos. Why do I mention this ? Because it's so important to mention, thanks to my art journaling videos many people from all over the world started their own art journaling journey. For many my videos became part of their everyday life and I am so grateful for that. I can't imagine trading making videos for something else. For the past months I have been making videos as always but feeling void. I was feeling that my projects are missing something, that elements that I am using are not what I wish to use and what I envisioned... and one day I realised, Marta if you can't find it, make it. I tried to paint the elements but painting this beautifully as I wished would take me months to learn and master it... and if I commit to it, it would mean no more time to record videos. And the question is would I actually hand-paint this beautifully ? With me being a super impatient arty soul waiting this long was like a torture without even knowing the final results. I believe I would create way less collage elements than in digital form, there would be very small choices and possibly I would not make a book, definitely not 4 books to play and enjoy :) I thought that in order to still be present for everyone with my videos, record regularly and feel inspired I need to make my own elements that I dreamed to use for so long. As we honestly speak, I tried to find someone to create digital elements for myself. Guess what, they came back with graphics that I could not use or publish because not only were they not this nice but most importantly they were nowhere close to who I am and my visions (even though I explained exactly what I needed, they were professionals and it was simply not doable. I believe no one will do what's in your mind better than yourself). This is where I understood that modern technology could come handy only if I do it on my own. I wanted to create books that are filled with as many pretty images as possible, images that will spark creativity and be loved by so many. I wanted a huge choice, a feeling that every page is worth cutting and using in your art journals. I wished for affordable books that are accessible for everyone no matter where they are in the world. I know that for many this is a controversial topic, feels unsettling but the reality is we have the tools, they go nowhere and it only depends on us how we are gonna use it, embrace it and push the boundaries to see what's possible in art. This creative process of making my books was very inspirational for me and this new way of creative expression gave me a lot of joy that I hope I transmitted to my books. I hope I gave you a tool to keep making your art, be creative, feel inspired and simply happy. If I achieved this with my books that all it matters. It's good to ask and I am always happy to answer. But I must say those last days have been bittersweet due to some unkind comments as well. Comment where someone is more concerned about how the images were made than how many crafters will feel inspired to get out from their creative block. Comment denying my work put into those books, if the art is stolen and more. Actually it's funny how our brain operates, you get 500 amazing comments (and thank you for them) but then you will have one or two negative comments and it will stay in your mind for days... Therefore I feel I need to explain and defend myself...I had only good intentions in heart. For all these years I have been truthful and open to talk so here I am telling my story. On one hand I am thinking, "why did you start this Marta ? But honestly I knew that making those books may bring some unpleasant words, that I will even be called out names but for me creating something for the community was far more important than those not so friendly words. Lastly, but most importantly seeing your art with the book elements shared in my Facebook group (Maremi's Creative Cafe) and Instagram tells me I made the right decision in bringing those books to life !

Thank you for your honesty Marta and I just wanted to be honest with you. I have bought all your courses and books that you have published before and I just love them and still have many cut outs left to use so that is one of the reasons that I haven't bought your new ones yet. My other reason is that I'm split about using AI as you have, I have also used AI but to create references and then I paint it myself but like I said I haven't decided yet what I think. 😂 At the same time I think, should Marta care what I think? Your books are the best I've seen. Absolutely gorgeous!! ❤ I find it interesting that people would be so mean. There seems to be a concerted effort on this planet to squash what brings each one of us joy (we've been programmed to do it to each other); and to block us from reaching our full potential, and it's time for this behaviour to end. Creating those books brought YOU joy. Creating beautiful art with your elements brings ME joy. It's a win-win, no matter how we each choose to create. When you see those comments, know that those people have fallen victim to the toxic programming on this planet; they know not what they do, or why they do it. It's sad, but I believe they are a little dead inside. Send them a little prayer that they will someday see the light, and continue on being your beautiful self. I see books like these and usually I find a few things I love but never enough for me to purchase because I just don't love enough of the images.

I like to share with you that, when I'm having a bad day, or it's rainy and dark during the day; I put one of your videos on and I journal along with you, and it complete the changes how I see the world. it gives me such peace, I lose track of time and it's probably the only selfish thing I do. I love that you did half pages and also landscape pages so you can fold for the middle of a signature. Fairies are my favorite collage book. There are lots of butterflies and flowers around but these Fairies are so different . So many styles of faces and bodies...some cutesy and others elegant. I love them all. comments have been made about AI and hand drawn...I will be buying probably two to use as a sort of field guides for my own water coloring projects painting. These will perfectly give me just the inspiration that I need. Every thing about them just screams 'paint me, paint me!!! First I want to say CONGRATULATIONS. These are amazing books. Can't choose a favorite as they are all so good, but I can say that due to budget restraints, the first one I will buy as soon as I can afford it (before collecting them all) will be the Vintage Chronicles. Beautiful collage books I can’t decide which to purchase first! Perfect Mother’s Day gift for me, I plan to send my husband the link so he can purchase them for me. The collection is absolutely stunning, thank you for making these gorgeous collage collections for us. My feedback is to please include culturally inclusive images in the next collection, I noticed in the Fairies collection the Fairies appear all to be Caucasian, I’d prefer representation in the images from around the entire globe, Asian Pacific Islander, Black, indigenous, People of color in all collections that include images of people, fairies, etc. Congratulations on this really beautiful collection ❤

Marta, the books look absolutely beautiful!! I have seen so many different books for sale that I thought were nice enough, but most had so many images in them that I just would never use, so buying them didn't make sense to me. But every image in your books is stunning and I can't imagine not wanting to use them all! I am certainly going to be placing an order for all of them. And yes, I cried right along with you when you saw them for the first time.
