I think the developer feels the PS5 is underpowered. Just look at the GT7. To get GT7 to work on PSVR2 they run it at 60Hz re-projected to 120Hz with a blurry image as a result. I don't think the developer wants that. I have + 500 hr in GT7 on PSVR2 , so I like it, but I understand why we might not get any more racing games to it...
@@MightyMikeVRGT7 is a much more impressive game graphically speaking and GT7 is meant to look amazing in VR, using eye tracking in VR to only fully render what you’re looking it makes it possible

Does it have the same head tracking delay bug that it had the last 2 years? People mistaked the jitter for bad performance when it was really the head tracking being out of sync. Just go into the garage and look at the ui menu. If it is shaking with slight head movements, the bug is still there. It was making people motion sick unless they kept their head dead still.
@@HamVR I think 22 and 23 were half-hearted bolt-ons from a third party called Climax studios. Presumably it's the same. Worst VR implementation in all of sim racing. A lot of the objects on the track aren't even rendered in 3D, aside from the nauseating head tracking delay. Hard pass again this year.
The jitter occurs when the GPU timing exceeds the normal operating range limit, for example 11ms at 90fps, if any timings exceed that limit, frame rate drops and jitter occurs. Better optimization that increases GPU usage and FPS to the headsets operating range and below GPU timing negates the jittering.
What is blurry to one person is really sharp to another LOL. When I tried F123 on the Reverb G2 I got it looking sharp. I've not tried F1 24 on the G2 yet but I would think it will look the same as F1 23.
Yeah, the cockpit looks great but everything else is terrible for me. I wouldn't mind the other way around tbh cause I'm not looking at the car most of the time. Can we get a feedback on this please ?
Greetings … I have tried preview and still very faint FFB (Logitech pro wheel) - seems to be a number of similar reports on the closed beta but not much response or hope of a fix ?
This preview build is a few weeks old apparently. The day 1 release build is expected to have more & better wheel support than this version I tried. This build has less track detail FFB compared to F1 23 so we will have to see what the final release brings 🤞
i had 3070 with ryzen 5600. Play using Virtual desktop wirelessly having good WiFi 6 router. Set up High res, enable upscaler, HEVC10, 150mb, and use low VR graphics settings in F1 23. i Had easly 80 fps with this settings. Leave steamVR setting as it is, only disable gpu bus monitoring. I always have stutters playing using cable. Go play wirelessly, u ll see the difference.
We need this mode on PSVR 2

It looks like the same VR implementation to me. Performance seems a lot better than F1 23 launch. I suspect that’s due to SteamVR updates since then.

Hey, are you gonna make a settings video? It would be really cool

Ok, Ham 2 questions......can we run Open XR as we did in F122? Also have they improved the LOD at all?
I've tried it via Open Composite and sadley no I can't get it to work with OpenXR Toolkit. However, it does run better than F123 did at launch.

Nice 👍! Did they make any change to the vr this year ?because f1 23 i cant even play vr with my rtx3070
I don't think so, however because of recent SteamVR performance updates, F124 seems to run better in VR than F123 did at launch.

Hi Ham - cam you remind us what hardware you're running for this plz?
4090 and AMD7800X3D
Wich motherboard do u use?
Asus TUF B650. It’s been alright for the money as I got it very cheap. Could have done with more USB ports but it’s fine for the 7800X3D.
Alright thank you 👊🏽
Is it fuzzy like f23?
It's the same as F1 23 yes. With tweaking you can get it looking good if you have a high spec PC.
Hello, are quest 3 wired or wifi?
This was wired Quest 3 but you can play wireless (although not recommend for fast racing games)
