Taurasi is so desperate for accolades that she wasn't ashamed to brag about getting a gold medal for sitting on the bench and getting her participation award.
@@TF-vb9us Hmm. If every player stayed in the league as long as Dianasaurus does, they would all be all-time scorers. She took away a place on the Olympic team from a deserving young player to get a participation medal while she road the bench.
Yes, Taurasi has been a great. But let’s face it, she only got her last Olympic gold by turning up ~ she didn’t even play in the final, a game that the USA only JUST scraped through to win. And each time she played against Clark, her team lost ~ and that includes the USA Olympic team. I don’t know how many records Taurasi has made over her illustrious career, but Clark broke SIXTY TWO records, including one for the greatest number of assists in the entire WNBA ~ in her rookie year. No matter how you cut it, that’s an extraordinary performance AND she got dumped straight into her professional career without a break after her last college season. She didn’t fully get into her stride until after the Olympic break. What might she be capable of in her sophomore year in the WNBA after THAT rookie year? I can’t wait to find out.
I'm a woman and seriously asking why women are so damn catty? No one needs to create a shrine to bow down to anyone else's achievements. As if no one in any sport has ever had this happen when younger players are entering the arena demonstrating great skills? It gives off narcissism and jealous vibes.
Maybe if she had not made the comments about Clark before she got to the WNBA how she was not going to be successful like she had been in college that it would take a while and then getting outplayed you would expect her to have some sour grapes. Yeah it’s apples oranges comparing the two of you but then there’s some sour apples there
DT is an old cliche trying to hold on to her glory from days passed after her skills have diminished. At age 42 she is no longer a top player and the longer she plays the worse she will play and she will finally get cut if she does not retire. That is part of the aging process. CC was 4th in votes for MVP and the fourth top vote getter on the first team all WNBA roster. DT was nowhere close and did not deserve to be on the Olympic roster. The real question is why was the fourth highest rated player in the WNBA not on the Olympic team and a washed up former great was.
@@TF-vb9us Taking the the worst team in the league to the playoffs in one year is not choking. The Indiana Fever scored 3,307 points this season. Caitlan Clark scored or assisted on 1,495 of those points for 45.2% of her teams total scoring. She was first in the league in generating points for her team. Behind her were (2) Arike Ogunbowale scored or assisted 1,235. (3) A'ja Wilson scored or assisted 1,197. (4) Breanna Stewart scored or assisted 1,045. (5) Kahleah Copper scored or assisted 950. CC was the best in the WNBA at generation points as a ROOKIE and it wasn't even close. If generating over 37 points per game makes CC a choke then what does that make AW for only generating 29 points per game for her team?
taurasi consistently said I WON THREE CHAMPIONSHIPS IN. COLLEGE...but look who was on her team... The Huskies won their third NCAA championship by defeating the Oklahoma Sooners, 82-70. The starting five of Sue Bird, Swin Cash, Asjha Jones, Tamika Williams, and Diana Taurasi are generally considered the greatest starting lineup in Women's College Basketball history. Caitlin had NO five star players, ONE three star player is all Iowa had to help her. Still Caitlin got to the final game twice...none of Ucon women would have done as well..we may never know because Ucon attracts 5 star players lie flies to shit.
Taurasi CC has broken many records including yours in one year. Reality came for CC and that is the fact that she's athlete of the year. Jealous much? Why wasn't the league making money before CC? Just saying!

DT is the highest scoring player of all time with six gold medals and multiple chips.
Get a grip 😂

Beautifully said.
What are they trying to take credit for building? A league funded by men’s basketball that loses millions every year ?
The league CC worked her whole life for to join. Wipe your chin, little bro 😂
Sure take credit for building a company that looses 40 million + dollars a year....CONGRATS..!!!
If you live your life with the expectation that you will always get everything you think you deserve there’s going to be some disappointment I fear

Calling other women catty so you can get attention from men is pathetic 😂
CC already said DT is one of her idols. Period. You lost, get over it.

When did CC actually say this though?

Question is, why can’t yall wrap your triggered heads around the fact that DT was right ?
CC choked her first season. Maybe next year 😂

Wow🤦🏾♂️losing money her entire career compared to CC rookie year money numbers is all that matters in this conversation
Taurasi has built the WNBA in to a second tier high school boys league …… according to Shaq Diesel !!!!!
Sometimes you gotta retire!
DT YOU NEED TO QUIT CRYING AROUND. YOU NEED TO RETIRE NOW.

Dt did you play in 2024 gold metal round? This year.
And CC caved to the woke and what did her buy her…..nothing.

CC and DT aren’t rivals. This manufactured media narrative that they are is made up for sad desperation Karen’s like you to get mad about 😂
Taurasi your to slow keep up with aja wilson, and other, women younger.
