I already knew what to expect prior to this game's release. Knew that it would lack in the fighting department, but not so much in the dialogue and I didn't hype myself up. I am probably the only person who enjoys this game ._. I am probably also the only person here who has purchased the Limited Edition version and isn't planning on taking it back. NOTE: If you want the constant fighting without dialogue, they have a mode for that 110 Battles to be exact and they range with difficulty. If you want story, but fuckall dialogue, use Square to speed through it, or skip the scene entirely. The graphics aren't very good on the characters, but it's at least playable lol. The only thing I would've suggested the designers to do is to go for the more traditional anime style instead of going for the 3D type stuff. PS4 at least have trophies and a platinum, so unlike PC and XBOX.. PS4 fans have an incentive to keep playing [if you're a trophy hunter anyway].
I am a huge azur lane fan but i am still not sure if i should buy this. It reminds me of SAO Fatal bullet with all that mindless shooting and repetitive gameplay and hard grind at the end. 10 Hours of story also sounds pretty short and i am not sure if there will be any motivation to play after the story is done
@@1wayroad935 You may be correct. There are tons of Japanese arcade games I (and many others) would like to get a western console or PC release, It's just that this review reminded me of the Kancolle arcade one and my sadness of not being able to play it
@@yoshinosen6240 yeah I already test it. You can play this fully offline. For me, this is the biggest bonus as I can keep it and play as long as I want.
For me I got it cheap, 30 dollars on steam. Is not a AAA experience but is fun, simple and no nonsense. Is also not for people who is not interested in the Azur Lane, I mean you can look at the game and judge yourself. My opinion can be bias, is up to you o see whether you want to buy or not.
@@MegaIata I don't play Final Fantasy 14, way too grindy and way too demanding of my time, thus like WoW I play it for a bit then ignore it for good. But I understand why people like it.
Thanks for this review. The moment you said "20mins of dialouge" that was the red flag signal to not buy this game. I honestly expected more action from this game but to find out its mainly dialouge makes it boring. I love the azur lane waifus but long dialouge is not it for a war game based on military politics and war.
Im a huge AL fan and been playing the f2p mobile game for over 2 years. Please do not waste your money on this overpriced dumpster fire garbage, the port and controls are freaking awful and about the visuals, only the water looks good and that's it, Yostar is just milking their game to death at this point
Real Blue Star Hey that’s unfair to say. I’ve been a fan of Hyperdimension Neptunia for 6 years and that series has came a long way. Sure some of the games aren’t the best, but Idea Factory and Compile Heart have done an amazing job overall
I know what I'll be doing this Valentines weekend.

You're not alone bud, I bought this mostly in hindsight and don't regret it.
AL is great but has so much unused potential as an Ogre-tactics style turned based ship to ship battle game.
Got the limited run games physical version :)
I have a mild interest in this but, I feel like I will be more satisfied if I wait for a sale.
samurizzy Me too
Its on sale now on PSN $29.99, i guess that's a sale price. :(
Get the Digital Deluxe Edition rn at $17.99 USD!💀😲

its more of a visual novel than a game haha
@@InheritorOrion yeah but even the visual novel aspects of the game are below average
Wait, did you say "Ship-fu"???
Haha times are changing! (Yes he did)
Really wish Kancolle Arcade would get a steam (or console) release like this
We’d ship that
FGO Arcade will probably sell more in the west because of the larger fanbase.

Ya, it's a flawed game. But I bought it, I owned it. And this game will be in my library as long as Steam exist. Can you play offline on PC?

Does this game have any updates or events like the mobile version?
Not planned currently
I thought this was the mobile game.
So it looks gameplay almost like mobile but in 3d.
I wonder how much this is.

Thought from the review you would give 6/10 so I think 7.5/10 was very generous
this game is uther garbage I gave up after an hour just ebcause the main charackter beign so piss annoying. game doesnt explain stuff wel either
You can *only* play as shimikaze? I hope not. That would be a total let down.
No you can play as any ship. I just stuck with her for the sake of getting a character to a high level for the review.
@@NoisyPixelNews really? I just stuck with Ayanami, lol (Although, in combat I did tend to vary on the attacker)
