Don't see him as father of the nation he is the dream maker of modern India, he showed us a way but nobody is walking in that way, as nobody is now walking in the way Gandhi showed us. The irony is that both Kalam and Gandhiji was born in the month of October, so it sure that an another person born in the month of October will make us to walk the right way.
I would like to add something to this. When me and my family went to Rameshwaram in 2006, we got to know that APJ Abdul Kalam's house was nearby where his brother was living in those days. We being his admirers went to see his house. To our very surprise, we were heartedly welcomed there and even served tea. The house was very simple without any extravagant thing. In fact we could see only Abdul kalam's brother and 1 house help ,as his brother was quite aged, in there. Apart from them we saw 1 postman who used to regularly visit there to take letters from his brother. The househelp told us that he went to visit him (APJ Abdul Kalam) by train and that too with a general class ticket and came back the same way when his brother was the President of the nation. We were all overwhelmed by the simplicity of the family.
Dr.Abdul Kalams simplicity brought him to the top and appreciated by all the communities disregarding cast and religious differences. Love from Srilanka

He was the personification of all moral values. A man who had such high morals that no one could ever pin point any wrong doing.
