He is the first president who travelled in every state of India just to know about the structure of states and interact with kids in every state. I also got a chance to interact with Sir. He was so humble . I still remember when he said translator to not to translate in english he replied in the same language as kids.
Every Indian should be proud that our APJ sir was born in India and served for India, particularly for the students, surely his vision 2020 will be succeed and -

1. Humility
2. Selfless service to humanity.
When talking to an inteviewer, he pointed to the books that filled the shelves of his library and said "This is all I have; these are my treasures!".

APJ became the axis of transformation of India from a 3rd grade nation to an international super power whom others are respecting and treating with care.l salute you sir for your great contribution to your mother land...:-)

Beautiful. I finished APJ Abdul Kalam autobiography 'My Life' few days back and it shook me deeply. Hardly you see a past president so open, so humble and so wiling to share his knowledge, values, thoughts and insights to the world. I wish he could be there for 2nd term and take India to right direction.

It was indeed a shocking news for me when i am watching a news online about this great personality " a missile man " . We have lost one of the greatest 'Guru' we never had before.We pray to God for his soul rest in peace.
Let us keep Dr. Kalanm's vision-2020 alive and work every day toward that.
We need to change the education system so that the students are encouraged and get enough time to think, understand and create, not only memorize textbooks. A computer can scan all books and put in the memory, how are we different? We can think and can create the Pantheon, Tagore's poems, and spacecraft.
If you want to have children, then let them play, let them have a life, allow the children to be creative or else just buy a laptop be happy with it.
