  • Unboxed and set of topeak backloader (anti sway)
A little thought and opinion and review of the setup..
Comparing to my WOHO X Touring and how it has served its purpose greatly 👌

I have the Wohoo stabilizer and at the time I thought it was such a smart solution. Nice to see that Topeak also makes one, and avoid the mistakes from the Wahoo. I found the Wahoo not so easy to install, and when I used it, it made holes in my saddlebag because of the sharp ends of the bottle cage bolts would damage the saddle bag. The Topeak stabilizer looks like an improvement of the Wahoo. Thanks for the review, cheers !

I have this small holder and will decide to buy the Topeak because it is wider and longer. It won't squeeze the bag and the water bottles won't be close to the saddle. However, I will buy metal bottle holders. On our last trip to the mountains, the plastic holder that held the liter bottle broke. Thanks for comparing these handles. Just what I was looking for :)

Can you feel the weight of the bottles so high up? How easy is it to remove and install the wishbone? I am used to carrying my bottles on the front fork, but it is a PITA to install every time I go for a longer ride (and do not want to keep the cages there when riding offroad).

I can feel it. It doesn’t bother me. Feels stable on out of saddle pedaling. Easy to reach bottles while riding. The wishbone is more like a fixed-unit. But moving it from bike to bike is no big deal.

So, does all the gubbins come with it? (bottle cage, etc.)? What actually comes in the box? And does it fit differently than the Wohoo? (Looks like it - bottom saddle rails rather than rear saddle rails?) All important information, especially for people with Brooks saddles, because the Wohoo does not fit a Brooks saddle (rear rails wider). Would have been helpful to at least see the thing attached to a saddle.

I have brooks c17 saddle and it fit fine. It came with just the rail and a gag for the cage bolts and as pictured on the box. Sorry if it wasn’t an unboxing, I just assumed what you see was it. I did my custom setup. This setup was years ago so it was explained a bit more, but either way, the things I said about it works totally fine today. WOHO fits differently. I’ll update an issue and update if needed. It does the job and I’ll enjoy this rig for years to come. Best of all, it goes with all my bikes, so just re-install is all that’s needed

Some online review said there was a 'clunk' when the bag hits the wishbone, whays you experience with this?

Never noticed that. In a new video with my CAADX and the dropper post. The wishbone never made “clunk” or anything odd. Same as the WOHO stabilizer.. it was pretty heavy on my CAADX. The dropper couldn’t come back up, with the remote. Maybe they’re packing lots more than me, mines is about 8-10lbs (unofficially). Works good overall.
