East Tyrol (aka Osttirol) is the part of Tyrol that lies, unlike North Tyrol, on the Southern side of the Alps. Because Southern winds brought insane amounts of snow to that region, Matthi and I had no choice but to go check it out for ourselves. What we found was almost too much to handle.

tyrol in general is a skiing paradise, i remember going every weekend when i was younger, skiwelt is actually in the top ten of biggest ski areas in the world you could spend a whole winter and never ride a slope twice

@@TheSlipperySlope I mean, I have those skis with less cool top plates, I have that drone but last years model. Seems easy to me cause I love and excel at those things. But to open adobe premiere without an update causing you to throw your keyboard out the window, impossible, literal witchcraft. But the phone cut is so goddamn clean I've literally replayed it 10x to check it's not a stock effect. But there's your dried meat and beer.
That and when did german speakers learn humor, that's new and concerning.

Problem with Europe is it doesn't snow very much there. It may be like 6 weeks between a good storm.
It can snow a lot but general speaking less then than North A. or Canada. Depends where the storm comes from we still get a good amount in the right valleys ;)
6 weeks is a bit long but definitely it got longer between storms.

How would you know, you've clearly never lived in the Alps? I used to live in Tignes. 2.5m a night for 11 days in January. The amount of snow was unreal, the downhill descent is longer and steeper.

Really great video! I'd love to go there! Interesting how the south side of the great divide piles more snow, I would have gone for the north side just for low sun impact but deeper powder always wins!
The southern storms usually brings more snow because the medetteranian sea gives a lot of moisture before the storms come to the alps

While one can be lucky in Dec, likelihood of sufficient snow is medium.
Rather strive for Jan-Mar.

Sillian and Matrei. Matrei has lotsa steep terrain.

Kals-Matrei Gross Glockner Resort. The place is amazing, I was there over a dozen times last winter and plan on dozens more this season.

Yes. Chest mount is a better angle but it’s such a pain in the ass 😅.
Does chest mount work with snowboarding as well ?

I therefore stopped off-pist skiing. During winter when the mountains are covered by snow the nature takes a rest. ☝🏿
If everything work I may get a job right in these area,Monday thru Thursday and 3 days off.I can't ask for more.

I agree. Most Japan resorts does not have snow making machines, and snowing period has become much shorter, it means lack of snow. Agree?

- shitty weather almost every day
- for the most part very short runs
- too crowded and thus tracked out in a couple of hours

@@tnkl9230 we ve been to Furano, Niseko, Rusutsu, Kamui and Asahidake (was the best imho). Shitty weather means rain, foggy and little snow fall. So basically bad weather without big snowfalls. In total maybe 1 day of sunshine
