This is not the latest Apple iPad, but it is faster than I thought. It has a great screen and it holds a charge pretty well th-cam.com/users/postUgkxhcEDB3r-OJ3_X5hQzr7k1ZofTQy1ao_U . I was concerned that it would not be powerful enough because I have several older iPads that are slow and cannot update to the latest software. But this 10th Gen has the speed and power. I do not use it for video editing, so having an M2 processor is not necessary for me. This iPad model has an A14 processor. So far so good. Glad I bought it. It helps having a larger screen compared to my Apple phone.

@@esrilune yeah that would be good, but I think the pressure sensitivity is key for a pencil, and only Apple Pencil can achieve that.

Im pretty sure the apple pencil does not work with the 8th gen so dont get the apple pencil aswell otherwise that would be a waste of money

1. I’m thinking of getting this model of iPad? Is it worth it for digital art (and maybe note taking too)
2-a. Should I get the paper like screen protecter or just a normal one.
2-b. Will the paper like make the screen quality significantly more grainy? Also will it wear down the Apple Pencil tip really fast

This was extremely satisfying to watch my eyes were glued to the screen lol. I'm not yet sold on getting an iPad myself, as I need to practice a lot with my drawings first. thankfully, my roommate lets me borrow hers from time to time to practice, but I don't think Im ready myself to get an iPad for thumbnail purposes.

I just got my iPad 8th gen with the pencil yesterday for my drawings and it was the BEST!!!! I love it usually! Also I opened it in the restaurant while eating cuz I was too impatient to wait till I got home Xd
My old iPad I used to draw on was an iPad Air 1 and a stylus with no palm rejection or etc. so it was hard to draw on lol it only imitated the finger so I was really happy with the Apple Pencil ❤️❤️

thankyou! 🌸and not that I know of, it doesnt lag but if i use it for hours straight it does start to heat up a little but that is normal with all devices if u use it too long x

i totally recommend a good sturdy case to protect the ipad incase it falls and yes i also suggest one with a pencil holder, but u have to be careful if u have a pencil sleeve on the pencil as alot of the cases with pencil holders wont allow the pencil with the sleeve on to fit, hope this helps!x

My iPad is 10.2 and my Apple Pencil is 1st gen o were the same but mine is black
I got my IPad 7th gen in June 2020 and didn’t get the Apple Pencil until April 2021
