Keep the videos coming, it's great to have someone in the UK doing this. I've had 3 of these 100 series for the last 12 years. I now have a 2005 model which I plan on keeping for ever, so am starting to improve over the next few years. I mainly use it for towing , but it's our car we use for fun, work and holidays , so I don't want to spoil the ride and comfort of the car, so much of it is just getting it factory fresh. I have lifted the breathers, fitted king springs on the rear, sorted the air con, rust proofed it and now looking to solve the mystery lack of peak power that happens every now and then. Following what your doing with great interest
The front breather is on the off side on mine. Its a piece of flexy pipe with a 1 way valve on the end. You dont need to buy any fancy add on bits, just buy some longer pipe, assuming the valve isnt all rusted up.
You’re definitely right about the parts,.. I’ve got a 80 series land cruiser engine parts, door hinges etc are in abundance however body panels different story.. I’m trying to source a offside wing it’s an absolute nightmare 😂😂..
Great stuff! I have a 100 and am a few miles away east of Edinburgh. I have been using Gary at 80 Breaker for parts - easy to deal with and really helpful. Fitting my Front Runner roof rack next week!
@@landcruiserscotland Fitting the FR roof rack this saturday - all from 4x4 works. So fingers crossed. I've watched a few TH-cam videos on installation. The existing rails need to come off, along with the recessed cover strip in the roof rail channel. I've also bought an ARB awning, and awning room. 4x4 works have supplied additional brackets to fit this to the FR roof rack. This basically adds a room to my LC! I will let you know how it goes. Cheers.
@@landcruiserscotland Well the Front Runner roof rack in on the 100. Not exactly straight forward, and you need to remove the roof rails, and also the weather strip that runs the length of the channel the roof rails fix into. Definitely a two man job to assemble the FR roof rack, and get it on the roof. You need to rely on silicon [not supplied] to keep the water out were the rack attaches to the roof. However........they sent me completely the wrong brackets to attach the awning to the roof rack - pretty frustrating. They have now established which brackets they should have sent - and ordered them from Germany! Again frustrating as I want to head up north over easter with my son. I will let you know what happens next!
That's frustrating. Sorry it didn't go smoothly. How long till they send the other parts? I'm heading up to cairngorms over Easter and looking forward to the snow! We've got the right vehicle for the job

Do you happen to know the location of the front breather? I bet mine is filthy, so if I can find it I'll replace it

I had a disaster with a fellow called Nayab. Best I can recommend is Toyota parts department direct for a wing about £400

I wouldn't say easy. It's mostly 17mm bolts and 14mm nuts, but by jingo you have to remove a lot yo reach them. I'll do a guide video soon.
