Hello Sir, like to ask on the yesterday's class, -In fixing the "Date Error", after making use of the average - replacing 7/25/2007 by the Avg - 6/20/2018, why going further to replace again on that column by 8/8/2018 please?
Replacing by 6/20/2018 is to reset the range since the outlier set the range off.
And with the new range, we now have a new average

I was following one of your videos Part 1: Top 20 Data Cleaning Tricks in 2024 and I'm using Excel 2019 and Power BI. Along the line while following, the PBI and Excel where not responding to the Conditional command in Add Column. Please advise.

please how do one handle blank and null cells in a dataset that's quite too much, like under a column , there will be 101 (10%) rows, out of 978 rows with null values.
Same goes with other columns which either have 10 to 40 rows of blank/null values.
Am I to remove them, fill them with "not available"?
The null/blank values appears both in number and text columns.
Secondly, some column values aren't consistent, under some columns you will be seeing values, that are not in same category. eg having "yam" under electronics column.
any help on possible solution please?

If the bull values are less than 10% (most analyst allow up to 20%) of the data, you can replace it with the mean or median (for numerical data) , and by the mode (for categorical data).

When you remove unwanted or duplicate rows on Primary keys simpliciter, does this not shorten the number of the primary key column while leaving others complete?

Sir, I am having problem with changing of values in the department column and gender column. Also, on how to add conditioner column about the marital status, after the operation, it's only bringing others not with single and married
To replace values you need to trim the text column first, and make sure to type it exactly.
