Wow, the show would have been so much better dubbed nahuatl and Mayan like Hernan! Hey man, can you answer me something I can't find the answer to? What is "in" in nahuatl? So for instance in "cochi in piltontli" or "in tlalli in what does the in mean there? Also how do you say yes and how do you say no In nahuatl? This is basic shit that there are no answers for online. Thanks!
Every dub has It's charm, but yeah a completly dub series in any originary language would be dope. As for your questions: The "In" is one of those things that we don't know for certain. A native speaker could know more about it, but when I was learning, my teacher said It could be either a conection ("And") or it could also mean "the", "A". Some said it's just decoration, but that cannot be right. Cochi in piltontli is "Sleep my little child" here the "in" is used as "my". Certanly there is no easy answer to it. Yes is "Kema" No is "Amo"
@Ce Xochitl thanks so much for your answer. I'm really loving nahuatl as a language, both in how poetic it is and the acoustics,, but I live in Europe and can't see myself studying it seriously because there is no use here. In what context did you study nahuatl? Looks like I also made a mistake, it's "cochi on piltontli" in the outro. But there are a lot of texts where "in" appears and it just made me wonder what it means. Your explanation that it can be and, "a", or "the" or something similar makes sense.
@@NecocYaotl Thank you for the interest. It is a beautiful language indeed. I studied as an optional class in college. Saldy here in Mexico indigenous languages are also not that usefull to learn in a career perspective. While almost every degree of education has the obligatory english and sometimes french, nahuatl isn't obligatory even for a history degree. The ones Who decided to learn are the ones Who see the cultural value or those Who studied lingüistic careers specifically.
