How did you establish yours? See, I produce music independently and I was trying to figure out if there is a legal /business benefit of establishing my own label? Should I?? I've found information that suggests that it is a good idea to create your own Label for tax and business purposes. I could write off equipment, software, and other tools that I need for producing. Hey Louis, I'm pretty sure that AWAL will only transfer your catalog for you if you are signed to their upper tier. There are three levels of AWAL and everything I talk about on this channel is referring to the lowest level of AWAL called "core". Regarding your note from 5:20, Im currently moving from Spinnup to Ditto and on Spinnup they say you should do as you say, keep your release live until you have successfully moved and reuploaded your music, meanwhile on Ditto they say that no you should remove your original release before you re upload so it doesnt create duplicates.. Any advice or help on this????

good luck with that make sure to claim your song off sound exchange from united masters once you release a song they claim 100 percent off your mechanical royalties on soundexchange without you knowing until you address them . there free plan is 90/10 split unless you pay their new 60 buck a year or 5 dollars a month .i heard & the payout from UM is you gotta make $50 dollars or more . if you not get stream like that it will be awhile before you see some guwop . just letting you know good luck with um wish you all the best

Looking at your ISRC search results shows a lot more info than mine. Mine doesn't show UPC codes for any of my music. Do you know why that would be?

No a UPC will be for the overall Album, the ISRC'S are for each track within that album

There needs to be overlap, but you will eventually need to remove your songs on the old distributor. Can't have it distributed in two places.
