Fubuki seems to hurt herself a lot when she forgets to mute. Not sure if it is in HoloCure, but it should be added as a reference.
Fubuki in Holocure is all about avoiding hits with high speed and dodging. Kinda ironic if she hurts herself really that often.

The Japanese also has the habit of making noises as they move, like yoisho, haiyo, ora, yoo, and hoi. There’s even the rarer osu, used more often by sportsmen and martial artists.

Fun fact: the "funny bone" isn't a bone. What she actually hit was the Ulnar Nerve which runs down your elbow and controls sensation into your pinky and ring finger, which is also why those fingers and half your hand might feel tingly and numb if you've been leaning on your elbow for too long.

@@massedpotato1749 idk if you are comfortable with seeing cadaver parts but there's a youtube channel called The Institute of Human Anatomy where they do a lot of informational videos about the human body. They did an episode on this but again, if you're not used to seeing cadavers you might find it kinda unnerving.
I think she didn't care to mute and didn't mind us hearing her "yoisho" but wasn't expecting we'd get an "ittai!", so in retrospect she felt she should have muted, lol.

I can't believe Fubuki actually sounds like a squeaky toy and it's not a bit like some of the other talents.
Nah her natural voice is different but it's not weird for a vtuber to maintain their voice while streaming. It is a surprise that she didn't break when experiencing pain, but method acting is a thing.
Actually, to say that a performer's "performance voice" is fake is failing to understand how vocal chords work.
It just comes down to the individual. There's no reason for Fubuki to maintain her show voice when she thinks nobody can hear, but there's no reason for her not to, either.
I think most of them understand they should always assume their mic is on like how a gun is always loaded. @silbury2325 is right though too i'd imagine if you're "doing a voice" you don't want to break it and have to warm up into it again

I'm not making a claim either way, but if she was using a voice changer, then it would obviously still be on. This clip doesn't provide evidence one way or another.
@@daedalus25 yeah, but voice changer would not work in the first place, since shes been to offline collabs with others and sounds the same.
pochi (reines illustrator) used a voice changer and said she couldnt invite people because the voice changer she was using was obviously configured for herself and would make others sound weird. at the same time she couldnt appear elsewhere offline, because she wouldnt be able to use the voice changer.
what people usually mean with "not-real" voice these days is that they are using a "fake" character voice, which some like luna do, but most dont, its just that the people claiming that probably have limited experience talking to women and even less to asian women.

In any case, the only way to know whether or not she's using her real voice is to become her IRL friend. Until then, just enjoy her for what she is.

nearly all of the cases where they arent muted are certainly not scripted, and if you truly believe that you are either a simpleton, have never been on VC in a guild or clan or never watched other streamers, anime girls or not. it happens to everyone sooner or later.
the vast majority of these incidents dont get clipped because nothing interesting happens.
find out how many clips there are of fubuki accidentally leaving the mic on, then realize that thats over 4 years of streaming.
hell, even this clip is 2 years old, because it happens to her very rarely recently, if at all.

I love this "she forgot to mute" stuff where we all know that it was intended. I mean, If she really "forgot" to mute, I sus that she's that lively whenever she gets a tea. The hitting chair though is real.

Yeah though this can vary based on mood. Like maybe she feels hyped up from a good stream and so acts more lively getting a tea due to it. Maybe she had some good food beforehand and it made her feel better so she was more active. Stuff like that does happen and all it takes is for it to happen the time she forgot to mute.

she did a fake "forgot to mute" like two or three times in the past, but it used to happen legitimately fairly often to her.
i remember sitting in a stream after it was over once and, for the first couple minutes chat thought she was doing the bit again, but since it was literally just the sound of her working (paper rustling, things being moved, some light sighs and breaths at times), chat started panicking and trying to tell her she didnt end properly and mic was still open.
she noticed after 6 or 7min, instantly ended, asked in chat if there was anything weird to hear and thanked people. next day those extra minutes were gone, as she decided to cut it despite there being nothing problematic to hear.
also a lot of times its simply not hitting the correct button in OBS.

I'm starting to feel like a lot of these are entirely staged. She used her stream voice the entire time. If someone truly forgot to mute... I mean, MAYBE they'd keep using the voice, if it was their real voice or as habit, like "Until I'm done streaming completely, streamer voice only, so I don't slip up." But I feel like its just as likely, if not moreso, that they wouldn't. That as soon as they hit mute, it's back to their normal voice. Idk. It's also way harder to tell with the JP members because I don't really hear much Japanese, especially conversational, so it's hard to discern if they're using a stream voice or not... but hers sounds like one, to me. It's a little... overly cutesy.
Plus, you know, just statistically. At this point, it feels like everyone has done it. Would they all truly forget to mute? A lot of the vTubers have only existed around 3 years, right? Would truly everyone have forgotten to mute in only about 3 years? I think it's a bit at this point. HoloLive is a comedian company, after all.
There's always a chance it's a bit. That's the thing about vtubers, their personality may or may not be a lie. But isn't that the same with most people nowadays? Even if the voice is a lie it's not like you lose out on anything. But if you really doubt them you could always search for their past works and stuff. Plenty of people have confirmed that most Holomem really do sound like how they sound irl. As for the "overly cutesy" voice... Have you heard of Lilypichu? Conversely Kiryu Coco's voice was so bad people were also convinced it was fake, until she kept up the voice as an Indie and eventually a Vshojo vtuber. The world has 8 billion people, 1% of people being so removed from your common sense that they look like aliens is still a lot of people, like 80 million. (I think? I suck at math)
99% of these 'forgot to mute' scenarios are fake. It's just fanservice.
shes in "streaming mode", so why would she change that for the minute or two she walks away from the pc? a lot of the JP girls take the characters they play very serious, so they actually "get into the role" and keep at it as long as they work as said character, which includes getting random discord calls from other members, for example.
plus in most cases it actually is their voice, simple as that. if you actually watch their streams for a while you notice many of them having very different pitches, based on time of day, how long they stream, if they are tired or energetic, audio setup etc., but in the end of the day you can still definitely identify it as them.
and in the end, some people just sound higher pitched or "cute". i knew a girl in school that sounded fairly close to how fubuki does (at least from my memory). shes not asian, but she _is_ only 5'5" tall.
other examples are: matsuri sometimes uses her "seiso" voice, but sometimes also just her normal one, which is much deeper. watame sounds extremely different on every single audio setup, i.e. her home vs studio vs off-collabs vs her recorded travel series, iroha uses a deeper voice because she wants to be seen as cool, not cute, noel decided against using a deeper, fake voice hours before she was debuting, because it would be difficult for her to keep up.
tl;dr: in a lot of cases it _is_ their natural voice (or their "stream" voice, regardless of being an anime girl or not), maybe slightly higher or lower pitch. some days they want to be cute and sound sweeter. western streamers do the same. ultimately it doesnt matter and you dont need to lose sleep over it, just accept it.
oh, also for if its staged or not: the clips you see are literally like 1% of the cases of them forgetting to mute. all the other times dont get clipped because nothing interesting happens. it happens even more often that they forget to un-mute at the start of the stream, but obviously thats boring.
Even if it is fake, it's not unreasonable to entertain the idea that it was an authentic coincidence. If she's method acting to keep herself in the mindset and has been doing it for a while, it would come out like that.
I wonder if management tells them to do "unmuted" jokes on occasion. This feels a little too manufactured, imo. Cute, nonetheless!
if you dont think these things can happen when they stream literally hundreds upon hundreds of hours each year, then you're a bit simple. it happens to literally every streamer at points, whether they are anime girls or not.
im also fairly sure it didnt happen to her lately, though i dont have a lot of chances to watch her streams fully these days. some of them just have bad OBS setups. lui for example was muted for the first minute or so on nearly every stream she did for a while, because she kept forgetting that her scene transition also mutes her mic, which she did _because_ she didnt want to be accidentally leave the mic open.
these clips where you see it happening are also at most 1% of the times it happens across hololive talents. also many of the times they accidentally have the mic open during their intros is because they do recordings for things off-stream and forget to mute after those recordings.
there is no grand conspiracy to... what? push the numbers of some of the already most successful vtubers? with something people might not even witness because they go afk themselves when the streamers do?
@【WD】Ares hahaha, I never said tech problems don't ever happen! I've seen it happen lots of times to streamers, including hololive! Sometimes they were genuinely funny, sometimes it was a very serious problem that caused the streamer trouble. Just an observation that this particular example felt like a bit to entertain her viewers. Again, not an insult to Fubuki!

cant remember who recently did a compilation of hololive forgetting to mute, but you could clearly tell that towa for example was faking it every time.
