his best sustain is a good ol' Asdana's White Oak before the match also VERY fitting how the character with the "one on one duel" mechanic is the one that can hold his own consistantly without sustain
boothill is one of the easiest no sustain characters. his action delay is very valuable, especially with ruanmei's break extension. plus the exo toughness this cycle. very easy to kill hoolay without him taking a single move. i actually was having some difficulty sustaining through the hoolay fight, but then i decided to just drop the sustain and play full aggro. no sustain is always the strongest for any team, but its also the easiest for boothill
It's just corresponding weakness. I mean Pela would've worked if there was ice weakness like aventurine, these two are pretty much equal in how much they buff Boothill

His dots and skills are hitting pretty high, enough that they’re finishing off waves without extra actions which valuable and something Pela cant achieve since she’s ice and ice only has freeze. Not to mention her low base atk, even if she was fire element, have low dot compared to Jiaoqiu since he’s a five star unit and he has 240% extra atk from traces.
@@seraphywang4638 jiaoqiu does have high attack but I don't think it really matters because he doesn't build crit and his dot's base % is kinda low. Pela does get some damage through eidolons so I guess its pretty much the same in this team
Quite satisfying to see a plan using Bronya E0 and having just enough SP. Yk, I was thinking when I see the 4 options for the flex slot: maybe SW can do the trick. Given Hoolay's atk frequency in wave 2, maybe we can even use a -toughness drain- sustain, replacing Bronya, if it mean providing perma RM buff time or reaching some energy threshold, . Then again, back to RNG hell.
E0 Bronya is always very interesting (and frustrating) to make work. One of my major sore points about 'cost' with runs that rely heavily on E1 Bronya. Anyway that thought did cross my mind, at least the part about using SW. If we get Hoolay's toughness low enough for a double break, Boothill will likely delete him immediately. And now that you mention it, 2 of the 6 turns is only for damaging toughness which could possibly be replaced by a toughness dmger. Which the only 2 options are both sustains. Can't say I'm excited to revisit landing 2 50-50 implants on Silver Wolf but you're making me want to try it
there was a 0-cycle with boothill/ruan mei/silver wolf/gallagher without any limited eidolons released by one SherroDeQro. cowboy went from one bronya variant to the next, and that one also used eagle on the nihility support. I really need to start farming wind set for speed/ehr, it seems.
Even though it's a Boothill run, I must say I'm very surprised with how healthy everyone is by the end. Would have wanted more hits to be able to more reliably recover the ults I want 😂
Same here, the first time it took me 8 cycles and Boothill cleared hoolay in 4. I switched to Himeko hypercarry and it was just enough for me to full clear 12.
Great run! Boothill EBA breaks is the most satisfying attack for me, though unfortunately I don't have him. About enemy hit RNG, I find it frustrating to get the correct RNG despite having a high chance for it to occur (or at least in my attempts).
If you've reset as many times as me you'll take even 25-75 odds. There are some things that help like char positioning but yeah it can be frustrating. I think I remember losing a 50-50 type hit RNGs 8 times in a row or something.

ay give some respect he's less shirtless and more kinda "missing" a shirt yknow what I mean. cool run though, glad to see that boothill still got it, and more jiaoqui value from eideh the hoyo spy...and mention of Gallagher??? the only thing I can imagine Gallagher doing that lingsha can't is qpq abuse unless you got some weird ass no dps constraint run or something, and to think I claimed we would never see Gallagher from eideh. i just successfully completed a no lc 0-cycle feixiao clear against hoolay after spending 45 min not realizing that my feixiao didn't have a planar bonus... actually like a 7 min fight, got feixiao 6 ults against hoolay. though I had to lower investment to force the optimization, its incredibly fun to actually reach the "peak" of these characters/setups. cost argument be damned, pretty proud of the run.
After making the thumbnail, I actually opened his model in game and stared at it for a minute trying to figure out what exactly he is wearing, what constitutes 'bare skin', etc. And I came to the same conclusion as you. Like his shirt got cut in half horizontally and he just put it back on like nothing happened. Also that is really sick. No LC run is really nice though I figure at some point Robin's dmg contribution becomes really high. Either way, yea the feeling of optimizing something to its extreme is really nice to see it come together. It's the feeling I live for
4pc passerby is huge because i'm especially feeling the sp problems in this one running boothill/bronya/rm/gallagher. with that comp i can only 1-cycle at best when JQ is with Acheron, Robin, and Sparkle to 0-cycle the Choir so I'm trying to figure out alternatives as someone who's Feixiao-less and Firefly-less. it does feel especially mean this time around to not have the wave 1 elites have physical weakness, otherwise hanya the blue blur could have been an interesting choice to deal with the sp and give boothill more speed.
This team its interesting,mayabe it can work if we substitute ruan mei for sparkle to compensate the less thougness reduction,or for those who doesn't have them(like me) i dont think a no sustainer run is viable. Well in any case boothil and yunli remain some of the least owned character yet two force of nature
This is a dumb question but I am still kinda fuzzy on how break dmg works, what affects it and what doesn’t… I know def shred works but I’d never heard anyone say Jiaoqius debuff works for break dmg, does it? I pulled him bc I like him but I didn’t have any team for him really. When I asked, no one gave me an answer other than “get Acheron for Jiaoqiu” lol.
Debuffs work on basically all dmg type. The 2 main dmg increasing debuffs are vulnerability (usually written as 'dmg taken') and def down. Sometimes, there's debuffs that affect only a specific type of dmg like break vulnerability that both Lingsha and Gallagher have. It functions identically as normal vulnerability for break dmg and stacks additively with it. Buffs are separate and buff your char stats on your stat screen. Dmg increase (same as the one from your orbs), crit, atk, etc. These do not affect break dmg. The only stat that affects break dmg is break effect. If you're not sure which is which, doesn't hurt to look it up. For example, Hanya has a pretty weird buff where allies attacking the enemy marked by her get 30% bonus dmg. That dmg is the same as the one from the orb but many people thought it was a vulnerability debuff initially.

It's vulnerability. Any other type of damage is increased 1:1 by the vulnerability %. I think you're thinking of damage bonus on characters like the one you get from the orb planar ornament.
Probably with S5 of the break hunt LC? But if you will likely need to make it up elsewhere like better hit RNG and probably better relic stats as well. Can't say for sure because I have 0 copies of his 4* gacha LC
Your videos are really good but the annotations during the run are pretty hard to read :( this is just for me personally ofc but maybe others can relate and perhaps you could change the font or colour slightly?
Thanks for the feedback! Though do you have any suggestions or could you be more specific about what exactly you find hard to read? E.g. font too small, color clash with background etc. I'm no expert at this so I kind of just picked and stuck with something from a long time ago
@@EiDehGaming of course 🤍 I think the font is alright (perhaps slightly thinner letters might be better but it honestly should be fine as long as it doesnt look like the letters are merging together/super close) and the size is good too As for the colours, i would say to ditch the outline and go for a darker colour for the letters themselves. For example, going from orange to a dark blue or even black and not using an outline at all. If you do want to use one (or cant get rid of it) I'd suggest simply darkening it so that its closer to the colour the words themselves are in I love that you use icons in your annotations so I'd deffo keep that up 🤍 hope any of this helps

Iirc when I started doing this the ground was a very dark color and the highlighting was meant to make the outline of the chars clearer. Good point about the font.
Yes. If you can replicate this setup, it's much stronger. Just put Resolution on JQ and be careful to maintain proper uptime on Hoolay. The best part is needing to only run enough EHR to guarantee base 100% chance debuff.

Choir boss is an absolute chore to play against tho. It took me 8 cycles.

JQ's element matching is the most important thing in this run. If it were ice I would have used Pela instead.
