I remember this from my youth!! Bonafide classic. My cousins had it and I cried when I had to go home because I couldn't play it any more . . . .I've since moved on to full size pinball machines and they now make me cry for different reasons. . .

Thanks so much for sharing this memory Tarquin!! 😊 And what a great one it is too! Yeah, these things are quite addictive! I've recently managed to break an ACDC table at a friend's bar... twice! 🤦‍♂️ The real deal ate awesome but I still don't know how to actually play them properly... just try not to loose too many balls!😅

. . . No shame in not knowing what's going on; I've had mine these past ten years now and still don't have a clue. How a person was ever supposed to figure them out fully in an arcade is beyond me! 😳

Well that was a blast! Thanks for sharing. I remember this, "instrument", err, toy. That's what we call a good find. Wow…that is loud and those were some fun camera angles! Hope you decide to break it open and make a few fixes. Now I want one.

Thanks so much RetroCombs!! 🙏😊 It was great fun to play with and to make the video too, having only just transitioned to DaVinci Resolve... lots of steep learning curves!! I'm told that Tomy Astro Shooter is a more function model, so if you see one, go for it! 😊 Yep, will definitely be cracking this on open to sort out that dodgy pin. 😎👍

I had a little toy where there was a little car figure in a maze and there were two buttons. when you pressed the buttons, a motor or something would vibrate the plate that the car was on and the car would move, turning in the direction corresponding to which button you pressed. this reminds me of it for whatever reason

Hey Vallee! Sorry for the slow response! Oh wow! That sounds pretty amazing! I'd love to know more about this, if you have links to share?

@@ChrissRetroCorner Sadly I don't, either one of my siblings or I broke it when we were kids and I don't remember what it was called. Trying to describe it to google gives no results. If I do ever find anything about it, I'll let you know.

Ahhh, that's a shame. No worries! I've gotnstuck trying to get answers from Google like that too!! 😅 Does sound very interesting! Would love to know how that worked! 😊

Cheers Kriss! Yeah, they look quite fiddly inside. I'm hoping it's just a gear moved out of alignment or similar...! 🤞😅

Look out for Tony’s Astro Shooter. It’s far superior and just as noisy. 😂

Hey Simon! Yes!! I got this and instantly wanted an Astro Shooter too! 😅 More flippers, upright scoreboard and lights too... they look great!! 🤩
