  • Here's my review and first downwind run on the new Armstrong APF1350 foil. Whether you're diving into the world of downwinding or looking to upgrade your gear, this review aims to give you valuable insights to make an informed choice for your next wing.
As someone relatively new to downwinding myself, I'm excited to share my experiences with you. While I hope this video helps you, please keep in mind that I'm still honing my skills choosing lines and bumps. There are plenty of excellent coaching resources available to further guide you on your journey.
Here's are the gear I'm riding
    Mast: 795mm
    Fuse: TC60
    Wing: APF1350
    Stabilizer: Custom 140
    Board: Custom 8'0x19''x5.5''
I'd like to extend a huge thank you to Stonker for letting me to demo this wing. If you're in Victoria, Australia, and want to try it out for yourself don't hesitate to hit them up!!

I’m 65kgs and learning to DW with the dwp 98L and the apf1675. I can flat water paddle up well, but in the bumps I really need the 50 fuse and smaller tail to maintain control. Trying to resist the 1350!

Nice Charlie! How is it for a flatwater paddle up? Have you tried it? Also -how does it compare to the HA1180? Thanks!

I haven't tried it in true flat water but here's a quick vid of me paddling onto tiny swells instagram.com/reel/C8eVHHsxJjU/
The largest HAv2 I'm running is the HA980, so I can’t truly compare them, But if your thinking about skipping the APFs for downwinding bear in mind, The learning process with the APF1350 will be far easier and it’ll get you up and riding earlier. but If you’ve got really good conditions or some awesome sup foil skills and better yet both the HA1180 will work just be prepared to struggle for a couple of months while you sort it out. I made the jump down to the HA980 and its great for downwinding but there’s no way I could have started on it.
