A wrong message was given in the video. Sourav Ganguly, the former president of BCCI revealed that Rohit didn't want to become captain, but Sourav had to force him to do captaincy. It was Sourav Ganguly's decision that there cannot be two captains for ODI and T20I format, so he wanted Rohit to takeover. Rohit didn't demand anything. Also I believe there was no rift between Kohli and Rohit after that incident, Kohli was probably upset with BCCI that his ODI captaincy was taken away, but he had no problem with Rohit.
