We visited Dresden and loved the city. The train from Praha to Dresden is filled with spectacular views. whilst in Dresden we visited the Standseilbahn Dresden, the funcular railway. At the top you get amazing views of Dresden and the surrounding area. This city is well worth a visit.
The Elbe Sandstone Mountains are a very good day trip idea, when you stay in Dresden and enjoy nature. The Elbe Sandstone Mountains are Not a very huge area. Even though the Prebischtor (Prebisch Gate) IS in the Czech Republic, you can Cross boarders easily in Europe and take a short hike all the way up to the beautiful gate. In short: if the Elbe Sandstone Mountains are close to Dresden, so is the Prebischtor.

The river walks are super, plenty of restaraunts and bars. Despite its past its still a beautiful city to explore.
What are things there to do as a pilot?
