Say what you want about Beyonce, but she has repeatedly improved her voice down through the years to give us nearly twenty years of consistently high class performances. She gives credibility to a generation post Whitney and Mariah, a generation that is deemed to be lacking in vocal talent. Beyonce is truly the voice of this generation.
+Never Not Inspired Her prime started in 2007, so she is in her prime for over 9 years, which is really impressive compared to some of the other girls now that I think of it. Definitely one of the most consistent vocalists of all time.
Nia R. vocally wise it started around 2007 IMO. Her tone was really thin and a bit annoying during DC. She had some good moments of course, but she was constantly doing way too much with the runs. She really improved 2005>. The Beyonce Experience was the time where could literally do anything with her voice, and it would seem as easy as talking. From there her ease with the upper belts declined a bit, but her improving tone made up for it imo. Also, the first time she really learned how to perform and dance started in 2007.
Everyone talking about her growls, but she really puts it to use in her newest album. Specifically her in songs Freedom, Sandcastles, & Daddy Lessons. I think it brings a whole new element to her songs & makes her sound more raw and soulful. She's distanced herself from the crystal clear perfectionist vocalist she once was and made room for more authentic-sounding soulful vocals. Maybe this is her way of letting loose. I know write she always made sure she was hitting those very smooth belts but now she's just serving it raw & she looks like she's having so much fun.
+IloveArethaFranklin Only at the end of this year I believe people say she started it around her Stevie wonder tribute but no because when she performed with Michelle at the stellar award she rarely growled on that performance her Eb5's/F5/F#5 belts on that performance were the clearest and most resonant she's ever hit this year but it wasn't until September I believe the tasteful growls turned into excessive and aggressive growls She hasn't sang live for over 3 months now so I'm hoping she's perfecting her technique again. Oh and thank allot I love your videos so much :)
@@deyoncew3311 after seeing how her singing style changed thought these 5 years I can really agree that she was trying to develop a more soulful sound

Ugh she is such a breathtaking vocalist. Honestly,in terms of technique, the ebst I have ever heard/seen.This is what every singer should aspire to. Great Video..and oooh..I like her belting when its more clean, the growls dont do it for me.
I always loved beyonce's growls especially in that Stevie wonder tribute that was just mind blowing but when she was at the global festival they started to become a little over the top like serious she literally was over growling and grunting in almost every song within every line she was singing and I was like "Bey I love but tone that shit down and just give us some clean upper belts like damn!!! Lol" Also I kinda feel like the growls are thinning out her upper register belts just a bit...just an observation
+Bey Stick that grunt/growling is a actually a vocal technique that she learned how to do from her extensive classical vocal training during her B-day era and if you notice there are times when she sings without it and there are times just like this when she adds the growls/grunts as a stylistic effect/choice and even though they sound great, this this year she was doing just a little too much with them making her sound shrill especially on her belts above Eb5 notes and even tho they are technically healthy notes that she supports from her diaphragm, the sound up there is very harsh to the ears at times and are staring to thin out her voice in the upper register which is why I wish she would just start hitting clean upper belts again and stop over growling them anymore
You can tell when she does it purposefully but there are times when it just subtley comes out during a line and is done very healthily and naturally. Idk how she does it. Every other female who tries to growl sounds harsh and painful.
She possess a fully developed Mezzo soprano voice, on the higher tip of the scale for mezzos tho. Most Mezzos top out at A5, some like Beyonce can peak at a healthy C6. Coloratura Mezzo suits her because her voice can be so dark but so fucking agile atbtge same time
+Elizabeth Rey Yeah I know like the C#5's in "Drunk In Love" are A4's and some of the C5's are C#5's and and the "Halo" F5 is an E5. But she really sang her booty off last year in just only 7 performances
Everybody in the Stellar Awards Performance Comment Section is like "Beyoncé did not overshadow nobody here". But in actuallity, she belted multiple F5s with mic away and has hit an F6 at the start lol What a queen
@@ianh7525 Yes. It was exclaimed but considering that she was confident enough to put a *High E* in her record, a semitone higher wouldn't be impossible for her to sing.

And everyone still does have a limit, regardless of how proficient and masterful they may be.

Some small corrections: the B4's during the Stevie wonder tribute are all C5's and the C#5's during DRiL with Ed Sheeran are all B4's :) And it might surprise you, a lot of MIA and Global Citizens are lip synced (One of the reasons I didn't like those shows was because she lipped like 70% of those shows)
+Mart R. OMG Really were the lipped track recorded only for those two festivals because her tone is definitely very different in on them if we are going to compare them to her usually lipped to tracks
TayTay BeyNippy yep, she re-recorded almost all the lip synced songs. Which is actually somewhat good, the fact that she took the effort with to re-record them. She still sounding amazing, but she´s not able to hit the high belts like she did in the previous years. Watch the video in 7:13 and you can see that its not supported and effortless like it was
Álvaro Yeah well she was tired here so we can't say that she is deteriorating only because she had a couple of rough months in 2015. If you listened to the F5/F#5's in Crazy In Love in 2016 and compared them to the F5's from Crazy In Love here it sounds like 2 different people, She wasn't feeling good around the the end of 2015, But now she had more ease in her belts then she did even 5 years ago,

But listen to her here she honestly even beats her best vocal days and this was only like a week ago (th-cam.com/video/lKHDyN7PEXU/w-d-xo.html)
+TayTay BeyNippy she sounded in tune in all the notes, but her high belts are sounding effort, and it did not happen at in previous years, like in 2003, when she easily hit a F5 in chest voice with vibrato.
If you listened to the F5/F#5's in Crazy In Love in 2016 and compared them to the F5's from Crazy In Love here it sounds like 2 different people, She wasn't feeling good around the the end of 2015, But now she had more ease in her belts then she did even 5 years ago,
+Álvaro Circa 2003 her voice was much lighter and brighter. Around 2010 her voice darkened and obviously won't sound as effortless. But notice how her low notes are hit with amazing ease that she didn't have in 2003. You win some, you lose some, but her high notes are still super impressive.
yes, I agree, she lost the quality on her highest belts but can sing lower now, like mariah
