    Thanks for the before and after vid. Used “mothers back to black” trim restorer on my ‘04 xc70 and it works but just fades after like 2 weeks. And if you know what a xc70 looks like then you’ll know it has a TON of plastic trim. Hopefully it works 🤞

    Just did this today. I think the applicators are too small...BUT.. the stuff evaporates very quickly, so work fast...it's evaporating on the cloth, not just the work area.
    I have a Sprinter, and it took 7 cloths for one application, might need second coat. It is a 2008, so almost 20 years of dry plastic, and lots of it.
    Looks great.

    So i just finish painting my interior with a matt finish and unfortunately it’s not the gloss that I wanted and it’s a big hassle to paint it with a glossy finish so I wanted to use this in my interior plastics. What are your thoughts because I heard you that you got irritated can you get a irritated from touching it after it dries?

    • @SebastianBalos
      @SebastianBalos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      My immediate thought would be that it will likely not work on a painted surface. There would be a chance that it might react with the paint and cause more mess. But that being said, its cheap enough to buy and try in a hidden area.

    Did you hit the area between the front window and hood? I bought 2 boxes - should arrive soon - mine is a 9 year old Nissan 370z... was garaged for 7+ years but now in the hot sun... Hoping it will buy some time until I can find a place with a garage again. Also - would it be worth trying on the fender liners?

    • @SebastianBalos
      @SebastianBalos  ปีที่แล้ว

      I did not hit the wiper area, but it should work there. If you have 2 boxes you should have plenty to try the fender liners. I imaging that it would work with that type of plastic but it's just dirty there so you'd likely need to clean them pretty good. cheers!

      I was able to restore the entirety of my f250's trim with it. Bed rails, mirrors, tailgate cap, handles, bumper steps, and wiper cowl all with a single box.

    I just tried this product and it's hard to apply a consistent coat. I get quite a bit of streaks if you shine a light on it. It works though but wish I could get a smooth finish.

    • @SebastianBalos
      @SebastianBalos  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I pretty much agree, id go back to WipeNew because it seemed like less streaks and easier to apply. Cheers!

    • @johns3153
      @johns3153 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They you didn't apply it right you wash dry then put it in the shade or somewhere where dirt can't get into it or bugs then let it dry 12 hours before driving or getting it wet and apply a second coat if it has lines or dull spots or another route is to go light then dry and then do a second coat i did my 2000 chevy silverado 4 years ago and still looks good and it sits in the sun and no lines or problems with it

      At this point everything is still looking the same as in the video except for the back bumper steps. They seem to be a different type of plastic and they are fading way faster than the rest of the plastics covered in the vid. I will also say that I think I might switch back to "wipe new" if I do this again. It seemed to overall be a better product. This one works well but I did not like the application process. Cheers!

      The WipeNew lasted for roughly 3 years before is started to fade. It has only been 10 months and still looks fresh (except the back side steps). I am hoping to get 3 years out of this one but that's just a guess at this point. Cheers
