    I like how it lugs down and pulls. My welding rig is a 6.0/4l80e with 4.10s, 2500 stall converter . Really thinking about doing a cam swap to something like this. That's where my truck needs torque. It weighs 9k lbs and I pull up to 12k or so now and then. I'd definitely like to be able to merge on the interstate loaded down a little quicker. It would really shine in a 5 speed truck I think. And long tubes

      This cam would make tons of tq in a LQ4 6.0. Nothing but gains 1500-6K rpm range. Probably 60-70 hp gain with baby 210/218 cam with long tubes and custom tune.

    That’s a nice setup. Pretty smooth and effortless cruising to the get n go. What’s it like when you really open it up hard at wot? I’d betchya it throws you back and the hood rises up. Lol. Need this in my yukon.

      Check out other videos on channel. It does 0-60 in 5.8-6.0 sec. That is with 4700lb ext cab 87lb 20" 275/55/R20, stereo subs/box/amps, and stock trans rear end 220K miles now! Bone stock weighing around 4550 with light weight 60lb wheels they run like 7.80-8 sec 0-60. So 2 sec gain still NA not to bad!

      Yea it is beastly for a 5.3L lol, this is also on 87lbs 20" rims, so imagine the power with light weight 60-65lbs stock 16-17" rims and tires! Probably be another 20-25 hp/tq at the wheels.

    Did you lose any top end with this cam

    • @christopher3067
      @christopher3067  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No gained probably a solid 30-35 rwhp from the cam with my LT headers, bolt ons, 93 octane tune. Feels like a little 40-50 shot of N20 from 4K-6K rpm compared to stock. Makes a lot more tq/power feel down low than stock cam. Still have cats and 100% emissions compliant!

      @@christopher3067 which headers and y pipe did you got with?

      @@moejr14 I went with pacesetters LT 3/4" primaries, they were like $350-400 for the ceramic coated pair. Then I bought magnaflow 3" catilac converters, x pipe, cutouts, and magnaflow dual 3" 22" muffler dumped right after before axle. This video had cutouts open which are fun for around town and a little while. But highly obnoxious, mainly keep them closed and run through my 22" magnaflow.

    • @christopher3067
      @christopher3067  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Some people say 3/4" keep better low end power/tq verse 7/8" on smaller 4.8/5.3 applications. Plus the cheap price why I went with smaller primaries 10ish years ago.

    • @christopher3067
      @christopher3067  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      After I installed headers, I payed local exhaust shop $200 provide tubing/welding for my true dual 3" exhaust layout. I already bought cats, x pipe, cut outs, muffler so it saved some cost, b/c all they provided was tubing and welding/routing.

    Did u lose any torque below 2,000 rpm? How does it tow?

    • @christopher3067
      @christopher3067  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No if anything it might have gain a little with all the other bolt ons. It makes good power from idle to 6000rpm. I never have to take it above 2000rpm to get around just fine unless I want to. It tows well puling our ski boat or classic cars on a trailer, defiantly gets up to speed alot easier getting on the highway compared to stock. Its the perfect cam if you want to keep the stock stall and trans.

      I get around 15-17 city and 20-22 highway. I changed lifters, springs, pushrods, 1.8 ratio roller rockers, had my heads milled, longtubes, dual exhaust, and custom tune
      Only things you must change for cam sway is springs and pushrods. You don't have to change pushrods but it is good insurance, and you don't have to change lifters, I just did b/c I had the heads off anyways

      @@dirtyMaxZR2 I shopped individually for best prices I could find. I did new LS7 lifters, trays, head gaskets, pushrods and dual lunati springs (over kill for the cams lift). I also put in new front main seal and new intake manifold gaskets. Didn't have to but figured why I was in there might as well spend extra $50 and refresh those as well. Also new gm exhaust manifold gaskets for my headers.

      Was mainly showing how stock trans and new tune 3 years ago acted with the smaller scale cam for DD part throttle driving. You can see in my other videos stock stall and 3.42s are not great for digs but plenty fine for DD and highway use.
