Mr. Tuff is a platforming game for the SNES that was cancelled in 1994 due to its original publisher Ocean Software running into financial difficulties. It was later licensed and released in 2023 by the Retro Room, a small indie publisher. Taking place in the future of 2008, humanity has left a heavily polluted Earth in search of a more habitable planet, leaving behind the robots they built, who then quickly established their own society. A small group of military robots later took power and established a brutal totalitarian regime. Mr Tuff, a humble demolition robot, takes it upon himself to rebel against the regime and free all the robots enslaved by them.
Sam_Underscore ( tasvideos.org/Users/Profile/S... ) for this run goes for a full completion goal by getting every collectable coin in every level, doing so in record time.

My favorite SNES game-that-never-actually-released
Coming around so late into the SNES lifespan with such unforgiving old school "retro hard" gameplay is probably one of the reasons, though (Not to take away from the TAS, but there's times where it hardly looks any different than regular gameplay- you're expected to dodge things by the skin of your teeth with no other options!)
But the game has a whole lot of charm in its variety of levels and really nice art direction- easily some of the cleanest Pixel art in a SNES game (outside of some of some seemingly unfinished areas).
Apparently, though, some website called Retro Room got ahold of the game and gave it an "official release" that we're seeing here? Had NO idea!

He was originally named Tough Man and scheduled to be in Megaman 12 but Wily had to lay him off due to budget cuts.
Poor guy had to start appearing in Ocean games just to not get kicked out of his appartment
