    Enjoy watching n seeing which cards I have. Blows my mind that todays auto cards sell for more then the vintage. Am I missing something.

    Where are the pre-war cards? Is Fanatics considered a poor venue for those? Observation: With a handful of exceptions, these cards are graded 20-30 years ago. Interesting. Also interesting that the highest-selling vintage card was only $5400 - including buyer's premium. I guess Fanatics' bread and butter is ultra-modern.

      As far as the top card being $5,400 I think it is only because of the holidays. Most eras of sports cards I notice dip a little around this time of year, not because the market is down but IMO only because people are more hesitant to put bigger value cards up for auction when there is less attention on the auctions with the holidays going on. As I've followed and covered these weekly auctions for several years, on any given week this 1940-1979 era of baseball will usually see the top card sell for $10-$20K on average.
      And also I plan on starting to do a 1939 and older pre-war list weekly here very soon, probably by the end of the month. Thanks for watching!
