I love how every single person who’s played subnautica has had the exact same shared experience of grabbing a ton of acid mushrooms at the beginning of the game.
Alright what you need to do is swim directly Southeast as far as possible, specifically, just to the right of the Aurora There is a bunch of cool stuff there.
just for if you play next time, a couple of tips 1) you don't need that many shrooms, they are only used for batteries 2) don't cook bladderfish, they are mostly used for making water, and they aren't as nutritional as some other fish 3) don't go up to the surface when the exploding fish are chasing you. they go faster moving up, and will get even closer, even if you start moving in another direction 4) the exploding fish have a slight sound cue, it sounds a bit like someone opening up a candy wrapper 5) if you are running low on health, you can craft a medkit from fiber, which you get from cutting down kelp, and then fabricating it into fiber. I don't remember but I think a medkit was 2 fiber. 6) Michael demonstrated this, but you can scan objects that look like items or things you can use with the scanner, to get it's blueprint. you usually need 1-3 scans to bet the full blueprint. 7) the radiation suit is for exploring the aurora, which is the big ship you saw, since it's core engines are hazardous, you take damage without the suit. 8) having a fire extinguisher is useless endless you are planning to explore the aurora. fires only happen on the aurora, or vehicles you craft. so having it is just a waste of space (same with flares, but flares have no use at all) 9) a lot of creatures have audio that tells you what they are or what they are about to do. for example, the big creatures that shit out gas make a little grunt sound when they feel that they are in danger, and a [REDACTED BIG GUY :) ] makes a very loud sound when it's approaching you 10) big crash sites around the ocean have a lot of useful loot and blueprints, but some need laser cutters to open some doors, and they are a bit risky as you can run out of oxygen or get lost (only for the bigger ones) 11) bigger oxygen tanks make the ocean easier to explore, and are required for some endgame areas, and the first two oxygen tanks aren't too hard to craft. 12) this isn't really a tip but what I prioritize crafting first. I will list them from top to bottom, with top being highest priority (this is only for beginner tools) knife scanner oxygen tank no⁰1 air bladder sea glide repair tool flashlight (only if scared of dark) fins and suits laser cutter compass and rebreather habitat builder and finally any other better oxygen tanks
the reason I list better oxygen tanks last is because they are only for exploring deeper areas, which most players won't do early game. same with the compass. most players will go back to their pod, so there is no reason for a compass when starting. fins give only a slight speed boost, so they aren't as important. habitat builder should've probably been at lowest priority, since beginners don't have a need for a huge base.
So excited to see this. When I heard Michael on the Podcast say he'd been playing this I was excited because it is such a good game... terrifying... seemingly on accident... but incredible.
I'm fairly certain lily happened to get a solar eclipse right after the aurora exploded. The sudden darkness made that experience far scarier (or cooler depending on how you think about it) than normal.
One thing even most players still don't know is you can be friends with the stalkers and they'll bring you gifts. Figure out how to befriend them, would be fun to watch you try.
It’s not subnautica till you get greedy with exploration and you barely make it back up for air and your screen goes fully black by the time you get up
Shes learning, shes learning thanks to Michael, but we know that theres WAY MORE scarier shi* down there, little does she knows but you know, you get used to it the more you play, that's how I felt kinda, it wasn't necessarily the creatures but the ocean itself scared me the most. Especially behind the Aurora, jesus.
Can't wait to see Lily reaction to the you-know-what-creature-it-is
I wonder what she'll name her kawaii submarine
You have no idea how little that narrows it down...
@@kaoniceli7096 drops to very few. Could count them on one hand.
Ahh yes, The L's.
@@ftwgaming0 if your hand has like... six fingers...
It’s so cute how Michael lets Lily figure out the game and get traumatised
Nothing like watching two people developing a fear of the ocean
More like only one person
The proper Subnautica gameplay really is to pick up acid mushrooms your first gameplay lol
Yeah, everyone does that =D
I love how every single person who’s played subnautica has had the exact same shared experience of grabbing a ton of acid mushrooms at the beginning of the game.
I did not know this was such a shared experience but I did the exact same thing.
I’m glad I’m not the only one who did this 💀
Watching these two game together is a roller coaster worth waiting two hours for.
Character: Has to breathe like a normal human
Lily: I don't like this
I see Lily and Michael playing games, I click.

This is abusive 😂

As a thalassophobe and someone who beat this game in hopes it'd help them with it, it did not. This is also hilarious lol
Love how Lily IMMEDIATELY knew it was thalassophobia, lmao.
Lily talking about saving the crew mates and having new players and Michael just going “the escape pod….”
the ocean is awful but watching other people experience the same fear makes me feel a lil better about myself
When she encounters *them* she’s going have a panic attack
Stalkers are such a annoyance until you feed them peeper, then they just act like sea dogs.
So excited to see this. When I heard Michael on the Podcast say he'd been playing this I was excited because it is such a good game... terrifying... seemingly on accident... but incredible.

So much fun watching you two play the game together!
you play this game enough times and not even looking straight down or up at night in the very deep areas phases you
That Jett ult edit was clean!!
I would pay so much to see a series of Michael playing subnautica
I love how everyone goes through a “collecting too many acid shrooms” phase
I am actually so deeply excited for this playthrough holy shit I love this game so much.
Lily if you sea a big fish in the open water make sure to swim up to it they are all friendly
The fact that she never encountered a Reaper during her entire play-through is ASTONISHING, and a little disappointing.
As someone who played Subnautica before, this is so relatable just everything is
I would pay good money to seem them follow through with this game and do Bellow Zero
I love Michael for this being his favorite game of all time. So based. I hope I get to play the sequel with him at some point.
7:35 LMAOO Michael is so chill but hilarious
Going to the edge of the map and swimming out would be a really cool idea I think
This is the most accommodating Michael has ever been.
more cute gaming with michael and lily! thanks lily.
I see Michael and you paired up, already like ❤❤
10:39 "I've never seen what it looks like to die"
I thought they were gonna play multiplayer so Michael could do the work for Lily and talk about it…
michael being super understanding the whole time tho
The only content Micheal will make for months
mushrooms are useless, yes you can use them to make a battery but its only useful much later on.
I want more now
And just wait until she finds a leviathan
subnautica is such a classic
Ok, the Jet ult edit was pretty smooth ngl
One thing even most players still don't know is you can be friends with the stalkers and they'll bring you gifts. Figure out how to befriend them, would be fun to watch you try.
i had a subnautica fase and now i fear the ocean. thanks game!
was expecting Michael to pull the old "there's really good loot behind the aurora" line
It’s not subnautica till you get greedy with exploration and you barely make it back up for air and your screen goes fully black by the time you get up
This is adorable! The game is great, but terrifying! But they're so cute!
So nice seeing you together can't wait for part 2!!
wow the jett edit was so smooth
Michael would be the type of person to shank a leviathan with just a basic knife
MEGALOVANIA LMAOOO
I didn't know Subnautica and Undertale had a crossover 😭
They didn't go far enough to see the lava bois
Shes learning, shes learning thanks to Michael, but we know that theres WAY MORE scarier shi* down there, little does she knows but you know, you get used to it the more you play, that's how I felt kinda, it wasn't necessarily the creatures but the ocean itself scared me the most. That Jett Ult edit was sick!
SOMEONE TELL THEM THERE'S A MULTIPLAYER MOD
You can play this game with 2 people too
protip: you CAN stack oxygen tanks, but you have to switch them out, fill them individually and manually switch them when they run out
lily the shroom addict
Damn, Lily& Michael playing my favourite game! 🎉
she got him the 1k he wanted from the miso beaf challenge
wake up babe new lily pichu video just dropped LETSGOOO
Lily you still owe Michael that $100
Oh my god i am so excited to watch this
12:01 broo just an innocent fish

All their reactions was golden 😂
"can i eat the fish? like finding nemo?" LILY???
Finish this game plzzzzz!!!
I can't remember the last time I laughed so much while watching someone play Subnautica 😆
im surprised she went all the way to the plateau
Friendly reminder that the MC landed in the safest part of the planet and not the D E A D Z O N E
YEESSSS PLZ tell me yall are gonna keep playing this game, there's so much cool shit for you to shit your pants at!
Can't wait for it to get RL.
Next cute slice of life game that Lily should play is Half-Life Alyx
IF SHE STEPPED ON A LEGO I FEEL BAD FOR THE LEGO
not cooking the bladderfish T--T
When do we get more of this
This video has got to be one of the videos of all time
Why are they so cute together it’s not fair
Well, I guess it isn’t surprising Lilly is into shrooms
This is amazing but also multiplayer mod is something I need to see
