I remember Brighton beach complete with lumps of 'Tar' mixed in with the pebbles, and trying to find a spot to lay out your towel was a fete in itself. What happened to the 'newspaper' ? definitely better flavour when wrapped in newspaper, plus you always had something to read whilst eating. waste of wood, much nicer to suck on ones fingers when finished. as for the peas, you could either buy tinned whole green peas or processed peas, the latter mushy style.
Relatively new subscriber here, and I've got to say, I just watched the last few videos you've done and they are HILARIOUS! I don't normally laugh out loud when I'm home by myself, but I did today a few times, and it was much appreciated after a long day at work :) Can't wait for more videos!

You can't dip a chip into a cup of shiny glossy whole pop when you chew them peas because they don't stick to the chip, they just move out of the way all rolly like and stay in the cup . So if you just paste up enough peas to make the whole ones stick to the chip , then , there you go. Also you could just mushy up your own peas if thier given to you whole. Also if you dip your elbow in a cup of whole peas they don't stick to tour elbow therefore not putting you in a weird " I've got mushy peas on my elbow " type situation. Plus you know when your eating them " unmushy peas " that they are only peas and not something else mushed in as well.

For the love of the god of food.... Please eat your fish and chips before it goes cold, or worse tepidly warm! It makes me cry! I agree the old fish and chips are not the best food in the world but absolutely must must must be eaten hot. You know the way. Mushy peas are made from marrowfat peas which are a large fat pea with a texture more like a bean. The normal "garden pea" is what is normally served with things like roast beef and in fact most meals that have "peas" as one of the vegetables. They are greener, smaller, and sweeter than the marrowfat ones. Horses for courses. That's because you've not cooked them properly. This video was a horrible representation for good fish & chips where the batter is light & crispy and not at all greasy.

Love Fish an' Chips but hate the modern styrofoam or cardboard packaging, whats wrong with the old wrapping in paper. Used to know a Chippy in S.W. London where one could by a chip loaf, half a bloomer loaf, hollowed out and filled with chips. An edible chip cone.
That is the worst commercial for Fish and Chips I have ever seen. As a frequent visitor to the U.K. I am often referred to the local "Chippy." What they don't tell you is that in most smaller towns the Chip shop might only be open a few hours at lunch time and maybe a few hours in the evening. They always seem to be closed when I want to eat, so I end up having Pub Fish and Chips anyway.
