This pic brings nostalgic memories of when I worked graveyard shift to stock shelves. It was so peaceful compared to the day shifts. Me and a couple other coworkers thought every joke we made was somehow 2x funnier, probably due to us being restless. When I'd clock out, I'd step outside to crank my moped, hearing the waves crashing on the shore. Ah, how a pic and some good music can take ya back, y'know?

i remember being a 4 or 5 year old in a super target with my parents. it felt like such an adventure. they'd get that special cart with the big plastic seat in it. i'd pretend it was a ship or something and every time my parents stopped to shop i'd get out and pretend i was exploring another planet or an island or something.

The Newmarket North Mall was a mall that is located in my home town. It has since been converted to office space. I had no idea until I looked it up. I've been inside of that mall plenty!

You know near where I live there’s this Winn Dixie and every time you walk in it still has this old school rustic 2001-2003 vibes and I love going there high on Friday nights after I get off from work cause it’s like nostalgia and brings back so many memories. It’s always nice to have places like that to go to and extract these great vibes out of.

I was listening to this on full blast while shopping for snacks and when the lady who was ringing up all my stuff asked me what I was listening to, I told her I'm listening to the 420 vaporwave. she then asked me if I was high or not.
This is still one of the best vaporwave mixes put together, no need to skip
you never know what you have until it's gone. even if you think you have nothing, take a moment to find something to appreciate and be grateful for. truly, there is always something.

It was a hot and humid August afternoon.
Mom needed to do some shopping for back to school, so I hopped into the back of our family car, a 1977 Caprice Classic station wagon with that glorious faux wood finish.
So, I hop into the back part of car through the swing open style door. The station wagon has a unique feature, the third row or "back seat" faces backwards.
As we motor on down the road, I look onto the world from the backwards facing car, and I learn of nostalgia.
It quickly comes to my attention that the world really does get left behind us....and if it's good we *want* to remember it. If it's bad moment, it _still_ gets etched in our memories.
We arrive to K-Mart and look at some shoes for me. I can still recall the smell of K-Mart. Like the combined smell of jeans, tires, french fries, perfume, detergents and cigarettes.
As we make our way to the shoe department, I wanted Nike's or Reebok's from a shoe store, but on a limited budget with many mouths to feed, my Mom settles upon "Trax" branded shoes with two velcro straps. The shoes are constructed out of faux leather, reminiscent of our cars faux leather interior and faux wood exterior.
I realize that some things in life are real and some not. These shoes would serve the purpose just fine, and at 1/3 the cost of Nike's my Mom can be happy coming away with a valued purchase.
Now as an adult, shopping and consumerism still fascinates me.
One day I will die of old age, cancer, disease or meet my ultimate demise by being hit by a proverbial bus. Either way, I will be happy that I died one of those ways and didn't drown in some mall fountain trying to steal quarters.

This mix vividly takes me back to two years ago when I was living on campus and got covid and they made me isolate in this old abandoned residence hall and I would listen to this while reading my boring art textbook in that empty dorm with the retro furniture and pretend it was the 80s.
