some tips that actually helped me and are still helping me 1. That feeling/that voice/ the urge doesn't mean you have already FALLEN!! I always gave in when I heard that voice to watch porn bcos I thought I had already fallen just bcos I was feeling that urge.... temptation is not = sinning!! Jesus was tempted after 40 days of fasting but he overcame! 2. The more you fall the more you need to seek Jesus. I once Heard this quote: we have 2 dogs in us, the one we feed more gets bigger!!! More porn, more cravings, now do the same to the other dog, get more of Jesus even in the mess!! Get a book in the Bible and start reading a chapter everyday or some part of it with prayer! The goal is to feed the other dog with the word of God. It works like magic. The Holy spirit feels your will to change!! 3. Hate it!!!! Hate it. Soon or later your body and mind aligns with it!!Fight it. When you fall down, Rise up and repeat the first two points. We got this people of God we can't be slaves to sin!!
You’ve just been shown how love can be misused why you should bring your emotions into submission to God’s word, yet here you are saying LOVE = JESUS. Lust is UNSCRIPTURAL LOVE. The philosophy that says LOVE = JESUS is the same one that leads people into same sex marriage and marriage with animals. Hello there.. Something like this needs a practical method to be free.. It's not just avout prayer alone, it's about what you do after praying.. What are the contents of the things you see? Movies..? Browsing sites? Pictures..? If this things are filthy or contains a touch of filth like immoral scenes, surely you'll be bound by the things you're trying to escape from.. Clear your phones from things like this, stay away from certain kind of movies that can stir up these things, watch what your eyes feeds on, instead spend more time reading your Bible and getting clean.. What of the places you go? Do you go to places where the people around you talk dirty things or do dirty things? Do you have dirty kind of conversations with people? Stop hanging out with those kind of people, stop being in places where you'll be tempted to listen to those kinds of conversation.. Rather, work time more around godly people that their words have been seasoned with salt. Above all.. Have a good relationship with God which comes from having to hear God daily from your Bible and people that preached the true gospel.. Be intentional about getting free.. Remember 1 Thessalonians 5:22 Abstain from every form of evil.
Lust has been a generational curse to my family to an extent that no one has ever gotten married in my family. And no one was living happily with his or her spouse. Like you said it's up to us on what we do with the inherited lust, i decided not to let lust control me and got married this January, and my brother is getting married next year. (First weddings in our entire generation). However i continue to ask for God's guidance to keep me on his truck for sometimes it comes back and wants to put me down but i haven't surrendered for i know the good plans that God has for me. I was molested as a child. I struggle with this. I don't even know what a healthy relationship is. I was married to two narcissistic men. They both cheated on me and physically abused me.I'm currently divorced. And have no plans to marry again. I'm happy being single and living a pure, holy, and God fearing life. My dad struggled with last, I struggle with lust. Hearing your sermon hit me like a ton of bricks! That if I don't allow the Lord to take control of this area of my life, that I am only hurting my 13 year old son! Ohhhh Lord, please help this struggle stop with my generation! Help me to stand in the gap for my son, who I know the enemy is ready to pounce on him in this same area! Holy Spirit help me to be strong, renew my mind, and most of all, be with my son in this area that he does not go where I have gone! In JESUS NAME!!!!
I didn't know how to deal with lust and I was ashamed to talk about it so I kept it with myself as no one was there to help this teenager. So i started finding answer in the Bible and the verse 'God created humankind.'&'God knows every human action' convinced me to present my case before God. So I went to my room, locked the door and told to God all the things that I desired. But at first I was ashamed but then I ignored my shame and I start saying all the filthy desires i had in my heart and the filthy thing that I had done in the past with regards to lust. After saying all these things the Holy Spirit reminded me of other sins that I had done in the past so I said all of it as filthy as it was to God and i acknowledged that whatever i had done was evil in the sight of the LORD and confessed all the sins that I had committed. And i asked forgiveness for my transgressions in the name of JESUS CHRIST. After saying all this,SUDDENLY I was lighted up. All the guilt that I had been carrying all these years suddenly vanished . It was such a supernatural experience there are no words to describes it. From that time on I became a true believer in Jesus Christ. So my advise is to deny yourself and acknowledge the sins you have committed (because God can save the sinner you are but not the fake saint you act out to be )and ask forgiveness from God in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

Thank you for this, I am someone who has been struggling on sexuality and purity and self control. I have been concerned that if I start leashing my feelings then maybe one day I will no longer have them, but no. God is the one in control and I also have control. I have had passion with lust or desire for companionship but it has gotten to the point that it is constantly on the mind. It is hard because I have asked God to help me, but after listening to these preachings Im realizing how important it is to look away, flee, or constantly put it into control. My grandmother ( i love and respect her) but she was someone who always felt something empty and looked to fill it with relationships. And ultimately went through multiple husbands and is still feeling lonely and depression and one day I thought, damn her and I seem to have that similarity. But I am going to combat this because I know my Lord and God is all I need and he is what will fufill me.

Hi Chilombo, you should pray against depression if this still happens. If for any reason you get depressed, then you can try doing actual physical work if you can't avoid being alone. The better thing to do after praying is to study what the Bible says about lust. God's words is living and powerful, it is by it (the truth) that we will be set free from power of lust and addictions. Make a Bible reading plan, and stick to it. It's one of the ways I was helped from lust. May God help

I am 30+ and not married yet. Whenever I have uncontrollable sexual desire, I fast for a day or two like the Muslim does and it works like magic. All the sexual desires disappear. That’s the Islamic way of dealing with lust unless you can’t get married. I tried many other ways before to divert my lust and sometimes those work for a while. Only fasting gives me perfect control over lust for a long period of time.
That is Good! Do the method that works best for you! Do whatever needs to be done to resist sin and the devil! But I have a question, I hope you do spend adequate time reading and studying the word of God? Cos I remember when Jesus was in the wilderness and the devil came to tempt Him, he used the word of God to fight back! He said " it is written" Do you know what is written? Remember according to Eph 6 that the word of God is the sword of the spirit!

One of the greatest way to win a battle both physically and spiritually is having a sharp sword and also knowing how to use the sword effectively. From Eph 6 we know that the sword of the spirit is the word of God. We must have God's word implanted in us, so that when the devil comes to tempt or try us we would use our sword effectively!

you need your armor of God on i am seeing more and more lust i clicked on a innocent cooking video looking for a recipe and first thing was lust. two girls kissing you need to guard what your eyes see what your ears hear. and protect your heart. and stand on the word of god your sword also watch your tongue and practice self control. and stay away from bad people.
I sometimes keep having lustful dreams where there's a faceless man that keeps coming to try to do sexual things to me and I realize its definitely not of God ,it worries me because I'm married and the dreams are of such a dark nature that whatever it is it is trying to pull me away from being intimate with my husband and trying to tempt me can I get a deliverance prayer❤

Lust has been a generational curse to my family to an extent that no one has ever gotten married in my family. And no one was living happily with his or her spouse.
Like you said it's up to us on what we do with the inherited lust, i decided not to let lust control me and got married this January, and my brother is getting married next year. (First weddings in our entire generation).
However i continue to ask for God's guidance to keep me on his truck for sometimes it comes back and wants to put me down but i haven't surrendered for i know the good plans that God has for me. Stay blessed

I was molested as a child. I struggle with this. I don't even know what a healthy relationship is. I was married to two narcissistic men. They both cheated on me and physically abused me.I'm currently divorced. And have no plans to marry again. I'm happy being single and living a pure, holy, and God fearing life. I didn't know how to deal with lust and I was ashamed to talk about it so I kept it with myself as no one was there to help this teenager.
So i started finding answer in the Bible and the verse 'God created humankind.'&'God knows every human action' convinced me to present my case before God. So I went to my room, locked the door and told to God all the things that I desired. But at first I was ashamed but then I ignored my shame and I start saying all the filthy desires i had in my heart and the filthy thing that I had done in the past with regards to lust. After saying all these things the Holy Spirit reminded me of other sins that I had done in the past so I said all of it as filthy as it was to God and i acknowledged that whatever i had done was evil in the sight of the LORD and confessed all the sins that I had committed. And i asked forgiveness for my transgressions in the name of JESUS CHRIST. After saying all this,SUDDENLY I was lighted up. All the guilt that I had been carrying all these years suddenly vanished . It was such a supernatural experience there are no words to describes it. From that time on I became a true believer in Jesus Christ.
So my advise is to deny yourself and acknowledge the sins you have committed (because God can save the sinner you are but not the fake saint you act out to be )and ask forgiveness from God in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior.

I struggle with sexual sin and lust and it’s hard because of the sexual abuse I went thru. I feel like my body is my only worth. Please pray I can finally stop this sin

I have been concerned that if I start leashing my feelings then maybe one day I will no longer have them, but no. God is the one in control and I also have control. I have had passion with lust or desire for companionship but it has gotten to the point that it is constantly on the mind. It is hard because I have asked God to help me, but after listening to these preachings Im realizing how important it is to look away, flee, or constantly put it into control.
My grandmother ( i love and respect her) but she was someone who always felt something empty and looked to fill it with relationships. And ultimately went through multiple husbands and is still feeling lonely and depression and one day I thought, damn her and I seem to have that similarity. But I am going to combat this because I know my Lord and God is all I need and he is what will fufill me.

Hi Chilombo, you should pray against depression if this still happens. If for any reason you get depressed, then you can try doing actual physical work if you can't avoid being alone.
The better thing to do after praying is to study what the Bible says about lust. God's words is living and powerful, it is by it (the truth) that we will be set free from power of lust and addictions. Make a Bible reading plan, and stick to it. It's one of the ways I was helped from lust.

I am 30+ and not married yet. Whenever I have uncontrollable sexual desire, I fast for a day or two like the Muslim does and it works like magic. All the sexual desires disappear. That’s the Islamic way of dealing with lust unless you can’t get married. I tried many other ways before to divert my lust and sometimes those work for a while. Only fasting gives me perfect control over lust for a long period of time.
That is Good! Do the method that works best for you! Do whatever needs to be done to resist sin and the devil!

One of the greatest way to win a battle both physically and spiritually is having a sharp sword and also knowing how to use the sword effectively.
From Eph 6 we know that the sword of the spirit is the word of God. We must have God's word implanted in us, so that when the devil comes to tempt or try us we would use our sword effectively!

freedom from lust can only be from God once you get saved by grace faith repentance and believing on the finished work on the cross. the Holy Ghost will get you out of sin your conscience will drive you NUTS. he will stop you from doing it if you listen. if you don't listen you'll go back into sin i have a contrite heart i am no longer bound to sins. i defeated lust a long with the holy ghosts help. i repented and now no man on this earth or anything else can tempt me anymore.

Clear your phones from things like this, stay away from certain kind of movies that can stir up these things, watch what your eyes feeds on, instead spend more time reading your Bible and getting clean..
What of the places you go? Do you go to places where the people around you talk dirty things or do dirty things?
Do you have dirty kind of conversations with people?
Stop hanging out with those kind of people, stop being in places where you'll be tempted to listen to those kinds of conversation..
