    Guys this is a fantastic story, not just because the ute will look awesome but mainly because the boys are learning so much and gaining further life skills.
    The boys seem to do more than the average kid, but they are still remaining grounded. It is a credit to the way you are dragging them up.
    Your family is an inspiration to a lot of people.
    Well done and don't change a thing eh.
    Cracking show.!!!!!

    Yes boys! Been following you guys from the moment you cut the mega 6x6 in half before the extension. Now to building your own rigs! Your old boy must be the proudest Dad in Australia, can’t wait to see you both continue to grow and make your dreams a reality. 🤟🏼

    Beautiful!! Once you put 35s on you can't go back. That beauty was made for 35s. Good job Ashton and all.

    Hi Justin - I have to say you coach your boys well! train them and nurture them... that's awesome. I think that's something lot of the new dads can learn from you. Unfortunately those are hidden behind all of the fancy tools and toys.

    Ashton, I have been really enjoying watching you and Paul from FabRats building your FJs. Two very different trucks but both so cool. Thanks for sharing your build with us.

      I have been too man. I’m glad they brought this series back after months of it being gone. I also enjoy watching the golden nugget build on fabrats too. It’s not FJ cool but it’s still very interesting.

    18mins flex test thanks for pointing out a valuable tip for spring ratings and flex! never thought about it like that before .. always went for heavy duty 300kg constant load springs so yeah made sense seeing you explain it like that !

    That’s also just Landcruiser things, the stock radius arms lock the front diff to the front of the car, take out 1 radius arm front bolt and it’ll flex the front out.

  • @oscarwalton1188
    @oscarwalton1188 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think the front leaf springs are probably fine they will break in after you run it down a trail or two , it's looking good can't wait to see it moving under it's own power 👍

    • @husq2100
      @husq2100 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      It has coil springs in the front. Too many variables to know if the rate is “correct” from behind the phone screen, but what is undeniable, is the inherent roll resistance of Radius Arms. Some are better than others but they basically act like a big anti roll bar.

    SR20 catch a cold? Lol 😆 looks good lads keep up the good work

  • @greggrod
    @greggrod 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Love this channel and the support for the boys. Ashton is killing this with his enthusiasm, ability and video commentary. With the front coils not considered to be soft enough, could it be that the rear leaves (chunky as they look) is the issue? I would have thought that the rear being unloaded the rear wheels would lift rather than bottom out on the body on the opposite side. My $0.02

    Patriot Games please keep the mockups for that car because I will be bringing my car to you boys to do a similar thing interior and exterior I haven't seen the final product but what it looks like now is a good thing keep it up your big semi-trailer truck needs to be beefed up Patriot Style can go anywhere on any roads and I any dirt

    Hard to tell but is the front anti roll bar connected? Personally I’d get rid of it all together. The Radius Arms are restricting roll as it is.

    You boys definitely have to take that build to SEMA, don't paint it and the yanks will go crazy for it, then take it to mohab after that for a vid and youse will get 2m views easy and open up a market in resto mod parts. What a great platform to further expand ur business lines. Really enjoy the whole of family content.
