When I was in the theater, that's how we all reacted too. So, when Whistler said it, we all started to laugh. CLEARLY, the screenwriter (David S. Goyer), the director (Guillermo Del Toro) or one of the actors (Wesley Snipes or Kris Kristofferson) felt the same way.
That quote from Blade to Whistler foreshadowed Scud's betrayal and true deceptive nature as a human traitor, familiar and a spy. Noticing Whistler was becoming friendly with Scud, whom he initially despised and mistrusted and rightfully so. In the end Blade was surrounded by enemies, one being the actual vampire, Reinhardt, the leader of the Bloodpack team unit that trained to fight and kill Blade for two years before the temporary uneasy truce to eliminate the Reapers, secondary leader under Nyssa as Damaskinos's daughter and hierarchy granted leader of the Bloodpack, Damaskinos's henchman and guard outside of the group that was involved with the Reaper virus experiment, and the other "hidden " enemy being the mortal human traitor and vampire servant/familiar and spy, Scud. Blade merely played dumb and pretended to try and detonate the bomb on Reinhardt first to trick Scud into a confession. In truth Blade rebuilt the original dud/fake and defunct bomb as a real explosive device with a new detonator, and was merely arming the newly resigned said "dud" to explode and trick his treacherous ex-ally, teammate and temporary weaponsmith into admitting Scud's true treacherous nature and actions so Blade could have the pleasure seeing the mortal fear in Scud's spineless rat bastard ass when the Daywalker revealed he knew Scud was working for the vampires under Damaskinos as a spy, double agent, mole and familiar since the beginning after Blade spied on Scud from afar in the shadows and discovered he worked for the vampires in the vampire Nation's Shadow Cabinet, the vampire House of Damaskinos, and even their first introduction with Blade saving Scud from two lesbian vampires in a three way tent sex orgy camping gone wrong was set up by the vampires for Scud to infiltrate Blade's team, and Blade also revealing he replaced/rebuilt the dud as a real explosive device with a new detonator, and Blade pressed the button on the detonator the second time to for real blow Scud to Hell literally. Blade could've easily offed Reinhardt first and foremost by merely pressing the button on the new replacement detonator a second time. BUt wanted to expose and kill the traitor rat human in his group first.
Reinhardt was in on the Reaper experiment too, alongside overlord Eli Damaskinos and all of Damaskinos's henchmen and familiars in the Shadow cabinet/the House of Damaskinos in the city of Prague in the Czech Republic. Which I believe Damaskinos allowed because Dieter Reinhardt was the leader of the Bloodpack team organized and trained to hunt and kill Blade/the Daywalker for two years before the temporary uneasy two-way truce and alliance to destroy the Reapers, secondary leader next to and second in command under Nyssa, as Damaskinos's daughter and royal heir/princess and would be future vampire Queen after her ancient father died eventually if Nomak didn't bite and kill them first at the end. And Reinhardt was Damaskinos's henchman and personal elite guard outside of the group, and Damaskinos knew Nyssa, his own daughter, would never go along with the Reaper experiment he genetically engineered and designed, with her own secret, hidden, estranged blood brother Nomak as patient zero/the carrier of the Reaper strain their own father designed and used on Nomak in his genetically engineered cloning of Nomak from Damaskinos's own flesh and blood, and much less be willing to use, mislead and deceive her own team on a suicide mission to hunt the Reapers down and clean up Damaskinos's dirty work. Reinhardt just didn't care. He was a vampire footsoldier that followed orders without question and was about self-preservation, his own self serving survival and gaining more unlimited power and immortal superhuman strength as a would be future Daywalker vampire himself once Damaskinos succeeded in his plot to create the perfect breed of Daywalker vampires using Blade's blood as the missing key to creating Daywalker vampires, which failed with the Reaper strain Damaskinos designed and tested on Jared Nomak. To give the vampire race far more superhuman strength, power and durability than before as original typical vampires, with immunity to all weaknesses of the Vampire race including sunlight and UV Rays.
Blade merely played dumb and secretly replaced the dud by rebuilding the original fake, defunct "dud" as a real, live wired explosive device with a new detonator which Blade designed with a two-press detonation system to arm the bomb to explode its target with the first press of the button on the detonator and detonate the bomb to explode with the second press of the button. Blade merely played dumb, seemingly tried to detonate the said dud on Reinhardt's skull as retaliation for Reinhardt inevitably double-crossing the Daywalker and Whistler after the mission was over to hunt down the Reapers and shot Blade in the knee plus dropped Whistler to the floor with the barrel of Reinhardt's shotgun. But Blade pressed the button on the new replacement detonator once so it wouldn't go off to trick Scud the human traitor, rat/snitch/informant/double agent and spy for the vampires in Blade's ranks confess to his betrayal of Blade, already working for the vampires under Damaskinos as a newly recruited and branded familiar from the beginning. Even since Blade saved Scud from two lesbian vampires in a three way tent sex orgy gone wrong staged for Blade to save him so Scud could infiltrate Blade's team and bring Blade to Prague in the Czech Republic to help Damaskinos and the Shadow Cabinet/House of Damaskinos neutralize the Reapers, led by his own estranged, genetically engineered/cloned son Nomak that Eli Damaskinos and his henchmen and familiars in the Reaper experiment genetically mutated, mutilated and deformed into an undead eldritch abomination monster as the first born Reaper and patient zero. Blade wanted the satisfaction of seeing Scud shit his pants in mortal fear and terror after Blade revealed he knew Scud was a traitor and a familiar working for the vampires as a spy, and rebuilt the original dud bomb as a real explosive device with a new detonator which Blade detonated for real to kill Scud after Scud admitted his betrayal and deceptive nature as a spy and double agent familiar. Blade could've easily killed Reinhardt first as the bigger threat as the actual vampire and elite vampire warrior, footsoldier, assassin and Damaskinos's henchman and personal elite guard as well as the former leader of the disbanded, deceased Bloodpack team alongside and second in command to Nyssa as Damaskinos's daughter and heir as the princess and would be future Queen of the Vampire Nation's Shadow Cabinet, the vampire House of Damaskinos in Prague, and Reinhardt was involved in the Reaper experiment alongside Damaskinos and Damaskinos's henchmen and familiars. Including Scud and Karel Kounen, Damaskinos's lawyer, chief human familiar, and second in command of the Shadow Cabinet over Damaskinos's armed security forces of soldiers, guards and henchmen working for Eli Damaskinos, all of whom were mortal human beings and familiars. But Reinhardt was unaware that the bomb Blade attached to his skull was supposed to be a dud until Scud confessed his betrayal of Blade at the end in Damaskinos's fortress. Hence why Scud apologized to Reinhardt when Blade bluffed trying to detonate the bomb to explode on Reinhardt.
Right. Blade was a tactical genius. Scud betrayed Blade out of jealousy of Blade's father-son bond and friendship with Whistler and out of typical greedy, power motivated desire to become a vampire (Daywalker if Damaskinos achieved his plot) someday himself for serving Damaskinos as a human servant/familiar. Little did Scud know he betrayed the wrong man.
I think Scud originally liked Blade and looked up to the Daywalker as an ally and partner in vampire slaying after Blade initially saved Scud from two female vampires in a three way orgy gone wrong in a tent. But Scud quickly grew jealous of Blade's father-son bond and friendship with Whistler, who was then abscent and in captivity under the motorcycle gang vampire s who kidnapped Whistler from America, and Scud also saw more opportunity for power as a would be future vampire, especially if Eli Damaskinos succeeded in his plot to create the perfect Daywalker vampire breed using Blade's blood, so Scud betrayed Blade and became one of Damaskinos's familiars working undercover in Blade's team as a mole, spy and double agent. Regardless, he was a piece of shit traitor and a rat that got what he deserved.
@@rikadojean-jacques3928 The original/first bomb Scud designed for Blade to use against the vampires was a dud/fake and defunct bomb, but Blade, aware of Scud's deceptive nature from day one, replaced the dud with a real live wired explosive device with a new detonator designed to arm the bomb to explode with the first press of the button on the detonator and detonate the bomb to explode with the second press of the button. Blade seemingly failed to detonate the bomb to explode on Reinhardt as a trick to make Scud think Blade was unaware of his betrayal, actually arming the bomb to explode pressing the button on the detonator as it was attached to Reinhardt's skull to get the satisfaction of seeing Scud shit his pants when Blade revealed he knew Scud was a traitor and replaced the dud with a real explosive device. When Blade could've easily just pressed the button on the detonator a second time to destroy Reinhardt first but killed his treacherous former ally and weaponsmith, next to Whistler, first. Reinhardt was unaware that the bomb Blade attached to his skull was supposed to be a dud until Scud confessed his betrayal. Despite Reinhardt, like Scud and the rest of Damaskinos's henchmen and familiars, being in on the Reaper experiment as well.
Scud was sadly always a spy, treacherous, backstabbing, spineless, sniveling rat traitor and familiar under Eli Damaskinos. Even before Blade saved his life in the staged three way tent sex orgy gone wrong between Scud and the disposable whores/lesbian vampires to lure Blade to save Scud as a mortal human being and supposedly near victim of the vampires to infiltrate the ranks of the Daywalker as Damaskinos's spy and double agent. Until the end of the mission to hunt the Reapers down and kill them all, including Nomak as patient zero and Damaskinos's genetically engineered/cloned, test tube experiment Guinea pig and the first bred Reaper super vampire abomination monster Damaskinos cloned from himself, like the other unborn, newly cloned Reaper fetus embryos in Damaskinos's lair of his royal fortress at the end Damaskinos engineered from his own flesh and blood after creating Nomak as a sabotaged attempt to create the perfect Daywalker vampire breed and genetically enhanced super vampire/Reaper with far more superhuman strength, superhuman durability, powers and immortal abilities and invincibility to all weaknesses of the original vampire race, but as shown first hand the Reapers were born, starting with Nomak as patient zero before he fed on and turned vampires on the streets of Prague into Reapers individually in his vengeance warpath against his father, creator and true immortal enemy to kill Damaskinos for creating him as a would be monster and mutated super vampire abomination and Hellspawn evolved bloodsucker. Blade just was onto Scud since he spied on his new ally and apprentice vampire slayer and partner from afar in the distance to discover Scud was a familiar working for the vampire overlord Eli Damaskinos and his royal vampire House of Damaskinos/The Shadow Cabinet to spy on Blade.
No one can dispute that except these Disney fanboys/gals. But who gives a sh!t about some teeny boppers opinion who didn't grow up with this greatness? they had the misfortune of growing up in this puss!fied era which in turn made them all soy milk drinking puss!es themselves. They're basically sh!t vampires. like Twilight
for those of you who don't understand why Blade didn't blow up the bald guy, it's because he wanted to confirm his suspicions about Scud. He knew that making it seem that Scud's plan worked, he might reveal himself, thus allowing Blade to kill him without remorse.
@@shonenhikada9254 he turned on blade since the beginning when the father of Nomak, Damaskinos needed the help of the blood pack to recruit blade in order to control Nomak.
You should've heard the russian version: "Reinhardt, say your head goodbye." It's said in a bit badass way than this. If it would be stuck in his ass, then the line would've been badass.
Notice Reinhardt waited until Damaskinos left to shoot Blade. Always thought Reinhardt was in on the reaper experiment but now I lean the opposite way. Reinhardt would've attacked Blade more openly and may not have tried to kill Blade twice and get him killed by the reapers if Reinhardt knew Damaskinos needed Blade alive. Reinhardt was just a soldier following orders and was content with the fact he, Nyssa and the others were expendable. All Reinhardt wanted was to even the score with Blade. But he and Chupa knew Damaskinos planned to turn on Blade after the reapers were killed.
Reinhardt tried so hard to one up Blade and got fucked every time. Tried to take Blade out when Blade first meets the bloodpack, Blade easily outmatched Reinhardt and put a bomb on his head, tried to shoot Blade in the club only to see Blade's sights on him, tried to get the Daywalker killed In the sewers but Blade unstuck the lever of the UV bomb pack and takes out all the reapers except Nomak. Reinhardt just couldn't take the hint.
Rated R: I'm sorry if I gave my comment in a mean way but yea. I mean sure Scud did start off good but at the end of Blade 2 he turned bad. But again yea.
Me either, until I watched the movie in the background of me working and heard his familiar voice. All this time and I didn't put 2 and 2 together and I've seen Blad II a million times, lol. Ironically and comically his character here and on TWD act a lot alike, which leads me to believe that Daryl is Norman Reedus in real life, lol. And not a character.
In the original screenplay, Skud's betrayal stems more out of jealousy than self-preservation. He wanted to be Blade's right-hand man and couldn't handle his obsession with getting Whistler back.
Antichrist Maybe he wanted to see how far Scud would go with the farse. I don't know, maybe having a traitor on the team could be useful for getting closer to the bigger enemies. Anyway, I always loved that scene. Is so Comic Book-like (AHAH, Gotcha!). Eh eh
Especially after Whistler cornered Scud's punk ass at the beginning, scared the cowardly punk wannabe tough guy rat and floored Scud with a rifle too. Lmfao
Why Blade warned his elderly human mentor, adoptive father/surrogate father figure and best friend from the start of the mission, "Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." Blade already knew Scud was a treacherous snake/rat that betrayed Blade and warned the newly cured Whistler to not get too friendly with the secret enemy and snake that was Scud.
I swear this was one of the dopest twists I've ever seen in a movie. When I first saw it in the theater I really thought Scud was a good dude. I didn't see this betrayal coming at all. Great writing.
Me too. But Blade foreshadowed Scud's secret, hidden deception and treacherous nature as an undercover spy, mole, and double agent familiar working for the vampires as one of Eli Damaskinos's familiars as the ancient vampire dictator's spy and mole/rat in Blade's vampire slaying team talking to Whistler, "Keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer, " noticing Whistler becoming friendly with Scud. Scud betrayed Blade out of jealousy of Blade's father-son bond and friendship with Whistler and self-preservation and survival and ambition to become an immortal, superhuman vampire and eventually one of the Daywalker vampires if Damaskinos had succeeded in creating the perfect breed of Daywalker vampires using Blade's blood as the missing key to creating the perfect Daywalker vampire breed, as Damaskinos failed to do by creating his own son, Nomak, as patient zero and the carrier of the Reaper strain he cloned from his own flesh and blood. Scud was always a traitor human spy and familiar since Blade recruited Scud after saving Scud in an orchestrated, staged three way tent sex orgy gone wrong with two lesbian vampires as bait and sacrificial, disposable assets for Blade to rescue and recruit Scud as a new vampire hunting ally, teammate, temporary weaponsmith in Whistler's absence and said friend so Scud could infiltrate Blade's team to spy on Blade for Damaskinos and bring Blade to the Czech Republic to help Damaskinos and his vampire House, the Shadow cabinet, neutralize Nomak and the other Reapers.
Loved it. Blade didn't even actually try to detonate the bomb the first time. He only pretends to as a ruse to bait Scud's confession before Blade revealed he knew of Scud's betrayal for the satisfying of seeing Scud shit his pants and then detonated the bomb for real.
In actuality, Scud was always a spy, double agent and familiar for the vampires under Damaskinos and the Shadow Cabinet, the vampire House of Damaskinos in Prague. The entire meeting introduction when Blade saved Scud from two lesbian vampires in a three way sex orgy in a tent gone wrong was orchestrated by the vampires for Scud to join Blade's ranks as a new vampire hunting ally, said friend and temporary weaponsmith in Whistler's absence to spy on Blade for Damaskinos and bring Blade to the Czech Republic to help kill the Reapers. Whistler being abducted by the motorcycle vampires from America and eventually moved to Prague was just helpful bait. Blade knew Scud was a traitor and a familiar working as a spy for the vampires so Blade rebuilt the dud as a real live wired explosive device with a new detonator which Blade designed with a two-press detonation system designed to arm the bomb to explode with the first press of the button on the detonator and detonate the bomb with the second press. Blade merely armed it to blow up, faking failing to kill Reinhardt to bait Scud into confessing his betrayal before Blade revealed he knew Scud was a traitor and familiar working as a spy and detonated the bomb on him instead.
Reinhardt was always a pureblood Austrian vampire soldier, mercenary and assassin that despised Blade the most of all the Bloodpack vampire team members, and wanted to kill Blade from the start on sight out of hatred towards the Daywalker with Reinhardt being a racist neo-nazi skinhead bloodsucker and Blade being both black and a half-breed vampire/human hybrid vampire hunter they trained to kill for two straight years. Despite Reinhardt knowing Eli Damaskinos needed Blade brought back alive to create the perfect Daywalker vampire breed as the Reaper experiment on his own generically DNA engineered son, Nomak, failed to do. To become a far more powerful, superhuman stronger, faster, durable Daywalker vampire evolved species. Reinhardt simply went renegade behind the vampire overlord's back by trying to kill Blade or get Blade out of his own passionate hatred of Blade and as revenge for Blade humiliating him repeatedly. Reinhardt saw both his enemies, Blade and Whistler, and his own fallen former army comrades in the Bloodpack as "sheep," being a vampire soldier and henchman seeking to become a far more powerful, unstoppable vampire race.
@@rickstorm4198 Blade very well could of been a sheep dog, but the vampires certainly aren't wolves, because wolves don't hunt from the shadows ((like parasites)). Vampires do. If anything... vampires are a predatory forms of a rat.
So Blade was counting on Reinhardt and Reedus' character to hold onto that bomb once they removed it from Reinhardt's head?? That's one hell of a gamble for a one liner..
punished for his betrayal to walk in the land of the dead all alone until he redeems himself and fights for a family that accepts him as their own til his last breath.
I think Scud originally liked Blade and idolized the Daywalker as an apprentice and assistant vampire slayer after Blade saved Scud from being mutilated and mauled to death by two female lesbian vampires in a three-way tent sex orgy gone wrong and recruited Scud as a new vampire hunting ally and temporary weaponsmith in Whistler's absence, but Scud grew resentful and jealous of Blade's surrogate father-son bond and friendship with Whistler, and this combined with self-preservation, greed and lust for power as a would be future vampire and potentially a Daywalker vampire someday if Damaskinos succeeded in his plot to create the perfect breed of Daywalker vampires using Blade's blood as the missing key, betrayed Blade and became one of Damaskinos's familiars working as a spy and double agent for the vampire House of Damaskinos in Blade's ranks. Scud largely underestimated how good Blade really was, however.
@@castortroy1727 Scud himself stated that the incident with him and the lesbian vampires was staged so Blade can save him and he can get on Blade’s good side to know his weaknesses and such as well as give that information to the vampires he worked with. He was a spy since the beginning but Blade knew that all along too so he was waiting for him to reveal his true intentions before getting rid of Scud, himself
@@c.galindo9639 I understand thinking on that too, now. "The old fuck, he was always just bait." "I'm one of Damaskinos's familiars. He needed my help to bring you here to control Nomak." Scud's quotes in his betrayal confession in Damaskinos's lair of his royal vampire fortress at the end, considering that and your comment, Scud/Josh was actually a familiar working for the vampires under overlord Eli Damaskinos the whole time. Presumably joined the vampire ranks of the House of Damaskinos aka the Shadow Cabinet for both self-preservation and survival as a traitor mortal human being and would be future vampire and potentially a Daywalker vampire alongside the rest of the Vampire race and human race if Damaskinos succeeded in creating the perfect breed of Daywalker vampires using Blade's blood. Scud and his vampire bosses, Damaskinos and Damaskinos's vampire House of Damaskinos aka the Shadow cabinet, led by Damaskinos and his army of human guards, soldiers and familiars, including Scud and led by Karel Kounen, the lawyer who was Damaskinos's chief henchman, lead familiar, and second in command of Damaskinos's armed security forces and guards/familiars, set up the three way sex orgy in the tent gone wrong two years before so Blade would save Scud and recruit Scud as a new ally vampire slayer, companion and temporary weaponsmith in Whistler's absence to infiltrate Blade's enemy vampire hunting team to learn information about the Daywalker and inform Damaskinos of Blade's every move and plan and help Damaskinos and Damaskinos's henchmen in the Shadow cabinet to neutralize/kill Jared Nomak and the Reapers, formerly vampires Nomak attacked, bit, ate and turned/mutated into genetically engineered super vampires/Reapers. Scud was in fact jealous of Blade's father-son bond and friendship with Whistler but was already an undercover spy, mole and double agent familiar for the vampires. Makes sense.
@@c.galindo9639 OH, you mean Scud's comment about Whistler serving as bait for the vampires to get Blade to the Czech Republic to help Damaskinos neutralize Nomak? That would kinda make sense I guess.
Bombs typically have a big blast radius. Even if he threw it he would still die or suffer fatal wounds. Plus he wouldn’t have time to throw it. Pressing a detonator button is always faster than throwing an object.
Had it been a fair one on one/man to man fist fight without Whistler being handcuffed and bound, defenseless and surrounded and outnumbered by all of Eli Damaskinos's familiars in the vampire dictator's armed special forces soldiers and guards. At the beginning Whistler cornered Scud in a rage, Scud was scared shitless and Whistler dropped him with a rifle to the face. 😂 Scud wanted to feel hard free shot hitting the old man with lots of help and back up from Reinhardt and Damaskinos's familiars and Whistler handcuffed and defenseless. Scud was a chickenshit. 😂
Two things: One, i've been onto you since they turned you... ( gotta love Scud's frozen smile at the moment ) two -> it's not a dud... BOOM! blade got him LOL
Antonio Glascoe: Good question. The only guess I have is that the umbrella corporation and the vampires get along. Its just a guess of mine and I might be wrong.
Scud: "What do you think of that, B??" Blade: "Two things......" (slight breathing) Blade: "One" (slight breathing) Blade: " I've been on to you, since they turned you...." Scud: " nervous as hell and breathing heavy" Blade: "And Two...........it's not a dud!" Scud: "Great...........................BOOM!!" 😂😂
The third sucks. People didn't know why it was so bad, but Wesley said he didn't want to be in it from the beginning. He knew it wouldn't translate well, and he knew the direction they were trying to go would be awful too. (The same way Richard Gere felt about 'Movie 43,' when he was contractually obligated to be in it.) That's why he said, "What the fuck is this?" and, acted like a complete ass. However, at the time Blade was his favorite thing to do, but his childish behavior in his reaction towards his disagreeance ultimately made him pay the price in Hollywood for it. Looking back, I wish he would of handled himself better, but if I was him, I would've been pissed too.
@@tellmesomething2412It sucked because it was like Blade was a cameo appearance in his own movie! The story mostly centered around um.... I don't even remember what that human groups' name was.
Dang its hella crazy how some of your favorite actors start their career years before they actually become famous. Pretty cool to see Norman in his early days.
Would've been interesting to see what it Would've been like if the other members of the Bloodpack survived until the end. I definitely believe Chupa would've been enraged upon learning that Damaskinos himself engineered the Reaper strain using his own son, Nomak, as patient zero then sent their team to die. Especially considering the Reapers killed Priest first, Chupa's best friend and war comrade on the team. Which Chupa blamed on Whistler. Despite how close Reinhardt and Chupa were, Reinhardt would've betrayed Chupa, no doubt, and either killed him, allowed or commanded Damaskinos's orders to kill Chupa or assisted in killing Chupa if Chupa tried to take out Damaskinos. Reinhardt was involved in the Reaper experiment and his loyalty and allegiance was strictly to the vampire overlord and the vampire Nation's Shadow Cabinet. (The vampire House of Eli Damaskinos.)
Fun little production note; During the part where Scud was in the van during the stakeout, the director and Wesley Snipes pulled a prank on Reedus. During the scene Scud was eating donuts so the director kept shooting take after take after take meanwhile poor Reedus didn't know actors, when filming scenes while eating, usually spit out the food because some scenes can take up to 100 takes to get right. Well supposedly by the time the scene was filmed Reedus had eaten close to 4 dozen bits of donuts.
Why is it that Guillermo del Toro can do a Marvel movie so beautifully? He did a phenomenal job directing Blade 2 now despite the fact that I love the entire trilogy it's just that Blade Trinity didn't have the same qualities as Blade 2 because Guillermo del Toro knows how to do it I'm pretty sure the cast and crew all agreed with this.
+txmetalhead82xk, Norman Reedus wasn't in the first movie, Matthew Schulze who played Chupa in this movie was in the first Blade as Crease, One of Frost's minions.
Scud saw his fellow mortal human race as inferior to the vampires and weak free prey/cattle. This combined with Scud's jealousy of Blade's father-son bond with Whistler is why Scud betrayed Blade shortly after Blade originally saved and recruited him.
@Kamenos4ever well there are two explanations to this. 1) When blade pressed the button it didn't actually set it off to explode but to put it in standby which possibly the stand by goes off after a while and goes back into off mode and when he pressed the button stand by came on and when scud had it he pressed the button again which made it detonate. 2) possibly a different remote
The replacement bomb and detonator in place of the original fake dud was designed to arm the bomb to explode with the first press of the detonation button and explode the second press of the detonation button. The first, seemingly failed attempt, was a false ruse to trick Scud into a confession to his betrayal from the start.
I had the same reaction. But then again, I couldn't wait till this came out on DVD, and when it did I watched the movie once a day for a whole month. I knew the score, the DVD commentary, the behind the scenes and soundtrack by heart. If you think I didn't know the actors too... Shiiid... I even knew Matt Schulze was the skinny familiar cop in the first Blade movie after watching it so much.
"The wolf has lain with the sheep long enough." Clearly Reinhardt was mistaken on who was the wolf and who was the sheep. I believe Reinhardt aimed that quote towards both his mortal and half-breed vampire/mortal enemies, Blade and Whistler, and at his fallen late former teammates and comrades in the disbanded Bloodpack. Because Reinhardt was in on the Reaper experiment as well, alongside Damaskinos and all of Damaskinos's henchmen, guards and soldiers, who were all human familiars, as well as the traitor human, newly branded familiar and double agent spy Scud, and Damaskinos's lawyer, familiar, and second in command Karel Kounen. And like his thousands of years ancient pureblood vampire boss and dictator/ruler Eli Damaskinos and all of Damaskinos's henchmen, who were all human and familiars except for Reinhardt, he wanted to become a far more powerful, stronger, unstoppable breed of vampire once Damaskinos dissected Blade and stored the blood of the hybrid Daywalker as the missing key factor in creating the perfect breed of Daywalker vampires, which they failed to do with the Reaper experiment Damaskinos designed and used on Nomak, his own son he genetically engineered as patient zero. With far more superhuman power and strength than they had as original typical vampires but, like Blade, invincibility to all weaknesses of the Vampire race including sunlight and UV Rays. Reinhardt simply tried to kill Blade or get Blade killed repeatedly throughout the movie against Damaskinos's orders as revenge for Blade humiliating him repeatedly first embarrassing Reinhardt in front of his own team, then outsmarting Reinhardt in his attempts to get Blade killed or ice Blade as retaliation.
Look at snipes facial expressions. He really would've been one of the great actors of our time if not for all his action movies. Blade is a great series of films tho
I remember watching this movie when I was little. The only thing I liked about Scud was that he watched Powerpuff Girls because it was (and still is) one of my fave cartoons XD But I was shocked to hear that Norman Reedus was in this movie, since I loved his character Daryl from The Walking Dead. Now I wished that Scud wasn't a bad guy :(
"I was just starting to like him." Clearly, the best line in the whole movie.

Blade is always on the ball. I love the way he says "I've been on to you since they turned you."
It was something about scud Blade never trusted him man's instinct
Blade just was onto Scud since he spied on his new ally and apprentice vampire slayer and partner from afar in the distance to discover Scud was a familiar working for the vampire overlord Eli Damaskinos and his royal vampire House of Damaskinos/The Shadow Cabinet to spy on Blade.

for those of you who don't understand why Blade didn't blow up the bald guy, it's because he wanted to confirm his suspicions about Scud. He knew that making it seem that Scud's plan worked, he might reveal himself, thus allowing Blade to kill him without remorse.
I always wondered how blade knew it wasn’t a dud
Facts, cause one thing we know for sure is, Blade hates familiars
Also, he hates familiars more than vampires because they betray their own kind.
When did Scud turn on blade? To clarify when did he become a familiar.
@@shonenhikada9254 he turned on blade since the beginning when the father of Nomak, Damaskinos needed the help of the blood pack to recruit blade in order to control Nomak.
"Reinhardt, you can kiss yo ass goodbye."
I love that line.
You should've heard the russian version: "Reinhardt, say your head goodbye."
It's said in a bit badass way than this. If it would be stuck in his ass, then the line would've been badass.
Reinhardt it’s time for you to enter the gulag

Same here
The first thing I thought after i watch this clip.
"Keep your friends close. Keep your enemies...closer."
With Scud looking at them 😎
In the original screenplay, Skud's betrayal stems more out of jealousy than self-preservation. He wanted to be Blade's right-hand man and couldn't handle his obsession with getting Whistler back.
Glad they changet it. Geez...
Antichrist
Maybe he wanted to see how far Scud would go with the farse. I don't know, maybe having a traitor on the team could be useful for getting closer to the bigger enemies.
Anyway, I always loved that scene. Is so Comic Book-like (AHAH, Gotcha!). Eh eh
Traitors like to gloat when they think they’re safe to expose themselves
I could see that happening. You can still hear a few notes of jealousy during his monologue.
That's because whistlers the one who taught blade everything he knows about killing vampires
The famous last words, knowing that you're screwed:
"OH, GREAT!"
He accepted his fate.
"I was just starting to like him". Lol that gets me every time.
It's David S Goyer, the guy who came up with the biggest betrayal in COD history in COD black ops 2!
Lmao 😂 it’s funny how Blade really knew his betrayal before he could make his move 🤣🤣

"The wolf has lain with the sheep long enough. " The funny thing is , Reinhardt you were mistaken about who was the wolf.
Blade showed Reinhardt this the whole time as well. Whooped his ass in front of his team then sliced him in half. Reinhardt was sadly mistaken.
It was the iornic part
Dumbass
Ps not you the guy that died
Blade was a Sheep Dog....

Really. 💯

"Id rather be a pet than cattle" in my opinion that's the most understandable reason for a betrayal.
You gotta be lower than low to think like that, That guy had no chance.
Scud saw his fellow mortal human race as inferior to the vampires and weak free prey/cattle. This combined with Scud's jealousy of Blade's father-son bond with Whistler is why Scud betrayed Blade shortly after Blade originally saved and recruited him.
@@OzXioanErazes No, he didn't. Reinhardt nor Scud or Damaskinos and Damaskinos's familiars/army of soldiers and henchmen. Ever.
Isn't it funny when you haven't seen a film since its release but when you see it again years later you go 'Oh, shit, there's Daryl!!!'
Spud: "Oh great..." xD lmfao the tone he said it in gets me every time
Rick Grimes steps through the portal
“What the hell did you do?! What the hell did you DO?!”
When Norman showed up in Walking Dead I was like, "Holy shit its Scud from Blade 2!"
Blade is a great series of films tho
it's not a dud.... KABOOOOOOOM i just started to like him lol
And this is how Norman Reedus ended up stranded on his Beach

1:53 Blade just sent Daryl to the Walking Dead universe
Wesley Snipes was perfect as Blade.
Don't make me call wario inc 911 ...said blade
I remember watching this movie when I was little. The only thing I liked about Scud was that he watched Powerpuff Girls because it was (and still is) one of my fave cartoons XD
But I was shocked to hear that Norman Reedus was in this movie, since I loved his character Daryl from The Walking Dead. Now I wished that Scud wasn't a bad guy :(
I just realized that's Daryl from Walking Dead.
So this is what Daryl did before the zombies came
Best vampire film ever best actor Wesley snipes
That was an exceptionally large explosion for a small device like that
You can say the same thing about a hand grenade. Isn’t a hand grenade about the size of a baseball? If so, they have a big blast radius too.
its more impressive that blade wass able to somehow make the explosion come from the center of Scuds body instead of his hand...where the bomb was
blade in mortal kombat would be epic :D loved these movies so much as a kid
I've never seen this movie but I love Norman Reedus and as much as I love him, I gotta say...THAT WAS FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!
