She's Norwegian, but Norwegian folk singing is very close to Celtic folk singing. Aurora was influenced by Enya when she was growing up, and she sounds like Dolores O'Riordan from The Cranberries at times.
AURORA is from norway she is not just a AMAZING out of this world good singer she is also an amazing human being with good values, she is unique and has so much passion in everything she does. And that is what is different from her and other artists. When she makes music she has something to say or tell us, her songs are never meaningless like almost every artist do.. that they have been out all night and fucking ect. But her biggest passion and inspiration is mother nature. She does what she can for our planet earth and she has let her fans be a part of it, which I think is amazing. Her songs makes us not forget our planet and wakes up feelings about the clima crisis and it creats sympathy and love for our planet. She also takes action in what she preach about, everytime we buy something of her brand she plants a tree in south America. I have now planted 2 trees and It makes me feel good 💓 The way she speaks and her mind is out of this world. You should see the documentary "once aurora" that shows the struggle in the beggining of her career as a teenager (goes all the way down to 2016 I think) and you can see her incredible artistic mind while creating music, she write all of her songs mostly alone and are also a producer. The "HAIK documentary" shows her love and passion for her fans and her free spirit. everyone should get to know Aurora she really can change the world with her words and mind🥰And be aware of her lyrics they ALWAYS has a meaning behind them and is so poetic. I really really recommend youto check out her live stuff.. she is so good live it's insane... you could check out auroras concert at UMA cop26, or her Haik concert.
Thank you! Dont know if you are aware, but Im all in for your TMac reactions. However, you just discovered my FAVORITE female artist, and when I say artist, I say it with passion! Aurora's music is what I like to call Soul Healing. Her "live" performances are amazing but there are a lot of Official videos that need to be seen. To name a few, Running with the Wolves, The Seed, Queendom, The River and her recent release Your Blood.
So next you have to do "Helvegan" by Wardruna ft. Aurora. Its viking music that features Aurora on vocals! It's a trip and definitely worth hearing atleast once in your life.❤
Arora is different, in all ways. All her songs are different and she constantly reinterprets them. This is why she is best live as she sings in the moment. Her lyrics are different as she sees the world in a different way. What next? Try her 3 from the Nobel Peace Prize concert from 2015. After that her masterpiece concert in the Nidarosdomen.
Wild. I came across your channel when I was binging Doja Cat reactions, and I have found my way back to the channel for an Aurora reaction. Aurora is probably my favorite artist (Doja Cat loves Aurora, too). She came into my life in 2018, and has made such a huge impact in such a short amount of time. Many people will recommend the Nobel Peace concert, or Nidarosdomen, which are the most reacted to by youtubers, but I would recommend starting with the KEXP Iceland mini concert. It's only 5-6 songs, and you really get a feel for what Aurora is capable of live, and it showcases her quirky personality, and storytelling abilities. This particular song is from her debut album, and it's one hell of a debut. Her first 2 albums are my favorite.
What a great reaction to my absolute all time favorite multi talented artist. She is magic, she is art come to life. Please do more Aurora, she is best live.
Don't be fooled by the looks of Aurora, she only looks human. She is actually a mythical creature in disguise. I believe she is here to make us come to better grounds and she sends us messages through her music.
I like the way your face changed when the music started, says a lot about you. ❤️ I agree with the Hobbit etc, same genre, but it never occured to me before!
Whazz happenin' Doc? You react to both of my favorite artists in ONE day ?? Angelina and Aurora?? I subbed after your Angelina reaction, and now I subbed again. I hope that worked out OK. Maybe check out my favorite performance by her next ?? Her performance of "Through The Eyes Of A Child" at the Nidarosdomen cathedral here in Norway. Nidarosdomen is Norway's oldest and most beautiful cathedral, dating back ti the 11th century, right after the viking era. That whole concert is just AMAZINGLY beautiful, most probably the most beautiful you've ever seen or will see, not even joking. I'm not sure if links will stay in the comments, so I will try to add the link in an answer to this post. Fingers crossed. Love from Norway ♥♥♥♥♥
Oh honey, she other worldly. Aurora is one of the very few that her live versions are better than the original videos. Please check out 54321 murder song Live at Nobel Piece Prize. ❤
If you want Viking, she does a collab with Warduna - Helvegen. Turn on CC for lyrics.....someone said it made them feel homesick for somewhere they had never been....that stuck with me.
The first time I heard this song, i thought she was Irish as well. The song that informed me was the next song i heard from her, in her collaboration with Wardruna called Helvegan. (If you review this song, do the one with subtitles.) That's when i found out she was Norwegian. Thank you for the review on her first big hit. (Over half a billion hits), that she wrote at eleven years old. I'm subscribing.
Norway has so many amazing musicians. Just a sample: Heilung, Kalandra, Wardruna, Susanne Sundfor, Eivor, Royksopp (Profound Mysteries is incredible and no one reacts to it!). I've probably missed some. There's something about Norwegian music that goes right to the soul.
Aurora is the best of the best, so check out her live songs. If you like northern culture, try Kalandra (Bardaginn for a grittier song, or others for mellow songs) and Wardruna and Heilung. There are many more bands, these are just those I listen to at the moment.
Please react to her LIVE version of this at the 2015 Nobel Peace Prize Concert....Its magical.....also Please react to her song QUEENDOM..the music video.
There are many sides to Aurora. One of her most upbeat songs is Cure For Me. But as always with an important message. It’s a protest against conversion therapy practiced in some countries to “cure” homosexuality. She’s bisexual and regardless of what you think of that you have to respect her courage. Aurora is a serious/fun quirky forest angel. Maria Franz with Heilung (Anoana video) is a sorceress. Floor Jansen with Nightwish (I Want My Tears Back, Waken concert) is a Valkyrie. Tatiana Shmayluk with Jinjer (Pisces, live Napalm studio) is a berserker. Great reaction. Good on ya guy!😊

If you want to see medieval Aurora... she does an amazing cover of Sacrborough Fair in a medieval castle.

Two Norwegians in one day 😊

I recommend "The Seed" by Aurora. Pretty sure you'll love it.

My favourite artist for 8 years, my soul healer
