I wouldn't call anything coming out of Rick's mouth as wisdom. Dude is smart, not wise. Pure nihilistic rationality is no way of living your life, and proof of that is Rick himself, and how miserable his life is, despite his mastery over the material world.
1:38 I really loved Shifu's reaction when po tells him that he knows that he won't be like the Furious Five, or be great as him. But he tells him when everytime he calls him names, fat, disgusting, clumsy, and smells. Or that he kept beating him up and kick him all the way in the very long stairs. Which pretty much hurt him a little and alot, but nothing could not stop of being himself, and he never gives up and always keep standing. And tells him that he always dreamed of becoming a kung fu fighter, but knows he can't changed himself but was hoping that Master Shifu, the world greatest Kung Fu teacher could have changed Po what he always wanted to be. And then Shifu realization starts there, that he was judging him in the outside but never looked close on the inside.
Yeah. 😂😂😂. The irony is that Shifu thinks Po is just a lazy fat panda but Po is the one training to be a Kung Fu warrior and Shifu can’t even bother to try and train him cause he just sees it as too much effort to turn a physique ill suited for fighting into a temple.

I love deep quotes in TV shows and Movies because they show that the people who are making this are just like us and they want us to know that this is real
Especially considering that he built his life around going in a roaring rampage of vengeance against the Rick prime for what he did to his wife and daughter . Because he loved them, which is said transient chemical reaction, and so he hated him for what he did, and hate is a similarly transient chemical reaction. And if he could have the smallest chance to get his wife back he would immediately take it. He was extremely hypocritical with that line.
I don't agree with Rick's quote. Rick is a nihilistic person with an inflated ego, not to mention a hypocrite. He tried to play down love because he wanted to manipulate Morty Peter's advicd is also very unhealthy and antisocial
Rick didn't even follow that advice himself, he's still in love with his dead wife, it's juast that now he knows that nothing can return her, and the object of his revenge is de4d.

I gotta say tho. I think Oogways wisdom is a wrong. It is a mistake to only focus on the eternal now. Never thinking of things you’ve done or what you could be doing and only focusing on what you want now. The reason why the world is the way it is is because people only think about now and never the future.
Yeah, that was a lesson Yoda had to learn, even, with Star Wars. Before and during the Clone Wars, the prevailing philosophy for the Jedi was "The Unifying Force", looking at the big picture and the future... And so, they didn't focus enough on NOW to see what needed to be done until too late. And then, years later, what does Yoda say about Luke? "All his life has he looked away... to the future, to the horizon. Never his mind on where he was." Edit - I appear to have misread your actual point. Although i dont disagree with your line of thought either. The context of the situation definitely matters, though.
That’s not what he’s saying, though? He’s not saying to never think of the future or the past, just not to get too worried and hurt over what’s already set in stone, and what is still uncertain.
The point wasn’t to take it to its logical conclusion. Oogway is just telling Po to relax and take a look at what he can do now instead of pine over the past and future without doing anything about it. A saying I prefer is “There is a time and a place for everything under the sun.” There is a time to consider and plan for the future and there is a time to remember the past and learn from your actions, whether they be good or bad. But perhaps now is the time to act and see what you can do in the moment with the time you’ve got.
@@EduardoMorales-sn4kp yeah, if you take only half of the saying it's gonna sound stupid. Oogway basically said "You're crushed under stress of uncertainty, but sometimes it's better to brush away past and the future, and look at the present"
I dont agree with many of these negative or superficial quotes like Rick's or Peter's. Love is more than some stupid chemical reations; it's why so many couples have stayed together in the past. My grandparents(and many others') have stayed together and loved eachother until the day they died. Don't take Rick's advice. If you do, you'll only end up miserable and alone.
Not bad video but was completely ruined by the inclusion of a Rick & Morty quote. Rick's a self-absorbed, apathetic loser. Don't be like Rick. Or Peter. That quote was supposed to be a joke about how unhealthy that mindset is.
And more importantly a major hypocrite, he is obsessed by what happened to his wife and daughter and build his entire life around getting revenge for it. And hate is as much a transient chemical reaction as life if not more. Also, he would jump at the first chance to get is wife back.
Isn't the ultimate point about the clip from Soul that he ends up rethinking his view on life? I'm not sure the movie wanted you to take his words there at face value, and think no further.
Benson’s va really went for it in that clip damn. The voice cracks really sell the desperation and anger
