Thank you Sabrah. I would like you to explain "speculations" in the present tense and in the past tense (i.e. the difference among can, must, may, could have..., must have..., might have). You are a great teacher: just in a handful of minutes you were able to give me a great deal of precious advice about English grammar. You are perfect! A big hug. I am Paola, an Italian student.
You have a clear voice and thank you for improving my knowledge in English , There are two things that I still need your help to explain : 1. for Possessive pronoun , for instance Men's room when we intend to say the room belongs to men, but can I say Men Room as a label of the room, or maybe lecturer room? 2. subjunctive for example : It was beautiful evening, so I suggested going for a walk , can I say : It was beautiful evening , so I suggested that he go for a walk?
Hi ! This lesson seems to be extremely useful &covers very important points in the simplest way . I am greatly shocked to know such mistakes are commited by native speakers . You have skillfully dealt with parts of speech ,adverbs ,stative verbs , quantifiers etc with utmost care . Your enchanting smile & ambrosial voice makes us spell-bound & can fall in love with grammar . You could have added plenty of & A great deal as far as quantifiers are concerned . Hope to be in conversation with you very soon ! With gratitude &best wishes !
Hi Sabrah, thank you. You're the most beautiful English teacher. Keep create more and more good videos please. I watch English news and videos every day, but I can't keep going to learn English grammar every day. So I'm not a good student.
Hi. Please clarify the difference between the following two sentences. He will not go! and He will not be going! (second sentence from Harry Potter film).
wolllll Hello this is my first time here, I loved your accent, it's so clear, I'm brazilian and I could anderstand you very well, although my English is almost intermediate, thanks for you time
Hello teacher! It's been really helpful, thank you! But i want to ask something. For example, can't we say "i usually hate parties, but now i'm really loving it" ? I hope you answer!
Love English, with Leila & Sabrah ah thank you very much! And i also wonder do you say it? I mean -as a teacher- do you choose to say it or use it in your daily conversations?
I did appreciate the lesson. Thanks for the tip. I have one question though. Would you plz tell me about the use of the word "way" before adjectives in modern spoken English? I do binge watch English movies all the time. That word is often heard as in saying way more interesting , way much longer and so forth. Plz help! Thanks in advance ☺😊
That is a good idea we do use the word way quite often and it has different meanings. We will try and include that in a video soon ! Thanks for your comment!
(From Wikipedia) Peoples Noun: plural of people (“race, group or nationality”). Example: The course studies the history of Africa and the peoples who lived there. Verb: Third-person singular simple present indicative form of people
Fernando Sakugava "people" is a noun that exists only in plural, it does not have the singular. So, the case you report is very specifical, not the common use of the term.
I'm quite confused to use the Articles when it comes about the unexceptional word I've heard most often to a native speaker like the word Honest! Which do you think is right to pronounce, He is an Honest man, or He is a Honest man. Remember guys, we will only use A when it's being followed by the consonant and An when it's being followed by the vowels.
Yes articles are confusing ! It is judged on the sounds - there is a vowel sound on honest an ‘o’ because the h is silent so it is an which goes with honest. An always goes with vowel sounds. 😊
Hi, Sabrah. The word "peoples" does exist: plural of people (“race, group or nationality”) *The course studies the history of Africa and the peoples who lived there.*
Yes in that rare exception it does but it is a grammatical mistake to use it about a group of people generally. It is an irregular plural. You can check any grammar book to find out but I can tell you as a teacher and a native speaker it is incorrect
Yes, that's correct, but in that case, the word 'peoples' has a completely different sense because it refers to (as you point out) a group of 'people' that share the same qualities: race, culture, etc. These groups are called 'the peoples'.
Which phrase is correct - the class was or the class were? Is the word class a singular noun or a plural noun? This question cannot be answered with Yes or No. Use the singular if you see the class as a group of students. Use the plural if you see the class as single students. In British English the plural is used more often than in American English. in British English, they refer to groups such as family, staff, etc. In the plural form using 'are'. In American English they refer groups in the singular form using 'is'. Both are acceptable, so use the one that is most comfortable for you. I am learning British English, and get very confused by this! I hope that you can answer me!
I am totally crazy about your incredible , outstanding and extraordinary fascinating accent and way of speech you made me speechless actually , But can you make for us where should we use ( obviously , in fact , definitely , probably , to be honest , honestly speaking , to sum up , and those things......... I am pretty sure that you won't disappoint us , many thanks 🙏
Hi thank you for your sweet comment. I am so happy that you enjoyed the video! Your suggestions are good - I will try and make a video on that soon! :)
Are your students native English speakers? If so, I find it rather strange because I have never been to an English speaking country and I knew all of that, in fact, I found it to be very basic and easy. I would say that American movies have been my best English teacher :)
hi sabrah thanks a lot for your efforts I really like watching your videos and I have just subscribed to your channel (can you make a video about the difference between ( have+P.P and have been+P.P

I found pronouncing paticularly hard, I use it a lot. But probably it's not as hard as the ones in this vid. It's just hard when you say it several times
Hello , Sabrah . May I ask you a questions ? Can adverb be used as complement ? for example Hairdresser makes her beauty . Hairdresser makes her beautiful . Hairdresser makes her beautifully . Hairdresser makes her be beautiful . Are they above all proper ? Your long hair is beautiful . from Japanese James Bond

Hello teacher! It's been really helpful, thank you! But i want to ask something. For example, can't we say "i usually hate parties, but now i'm really loving it" ? I hope you answer!
Yes you can say it like that informally but it is not technically correct grammar ! Don’t say it in an ielts test, but you can with your friends ! 😊
Love English, with Leila & Sabrah ah thank you very much! And i also wonder do you say it? I mean -as a teacher- do you choose to say it or use it in your daily conversations?

Peoples
Noun: plural of people (“race, group or nationality”). Example: The course studies the history of Africa and the peoples who lived there.
Verb: Third-person singular simple present indicative form of people
Okay, but that’s not how students use it. It’s a very specific function. Normally person-people. 👍
Fernando Sakugava "people" is a noun that exists only in plural, it does not have the singular. So, the case you report is very specifical, not the common use of the term.

It is difficult - you have to try to start to do that and then slowly you will stop needing to think about the grammar the more you practice :)

I can speak Spanish and some Italian. How about you??!
I am learning English but I am not proficient in it but I am trying and want to be fluent in English.
