Riya V | Design Talks, from Seniors to Juniors

Ar. Riya Venkatesh was invited to assist our ongoing academic project ‘ THE PLAY SCHOOL’ for first year design studio, to share her experience and learning through her thesis project in designing learning spaces.
Riya Venkatesh, currently working in Atkins, is an architecture student from the batch of 2020. After 4 years of Education from MSA, she entered her thesis semester with a goal and vision to sculpt her designs around the upliftment of societies and communities.
Her thesis project ‘The Third Teacher - Anegundi‘ which was selected for Niasa, is a dedication to the children and weavers of the village, who she met and interacted with in one of her most engaging trips.
Being inspired by the lessons she has learnt, she has developed a passion for sustainable architecture and a fascination for community-centred architecture.
