Fix-it-Bruno is probably my favorite series, making it stand out from other content creators. It’s contagious. It has influenced me to buy three old Bandai Power Morphers and restored them.
I enjoy the vicarious eBay-ing combined with your commentary here. A really fun way to look at some vintage toys, and also get a bit of history and minutiae about the accessories and pieces.
Huh, I didn’t know that the Zords from Zyuranger were sold separately in sets like that in Japan for a time. I know many subsequent Sentai did that (and still do) but seeing the original 1992 Zyuranger mecha sold individually in individual packaging is something I wasn’t expecting!
A few weeks ago, my local comic shop had a 1993 Megazord for 100. The box was pretty beat up and moldy, so I didn't have high hopes for it. Turns out, everything inside was brand new, with the sticker sheets unused, and the detachable peices (wings, tusks, ect) still with their plastic connectors. It had apparently belonged to a store employee who had gotten it as a gift as a kid but never played with it, so it sat in their attic. I was floored to get a new one for so cheap.
Thank you, Bruno for what you do. I truly enjoy these videos. Your passion and joy for these things are one of the few bright spots left in this cold dark world. Love you guys.
I don't really collect or display pieces, but THOROUGHLY enjoyed this video! Loved it. Really feel there would be room to make ASMR toy restoration shorts. Would love that.
Always cool to see what kinds of things people use to restore older toys. I hope they do one for the SOC Megazord, because for some reason the chrome/diecast on that gets really dull after a while. I hear it's a pretty common issue, but I haven't been able to find a solution online.
The ebay hunting would be a fun series on the channel. LIke every few months covering a different season and just give tips as to what you should look out for since many novices or people who want to find their childhood season might not know what they should be looking out for quality wise.
Awesome advice here! Didn’t think I could just give it a bath like you did in here. My Daizyujin could use one lol! Definitely will use these to make it look awesome! And thanks again for the advice on my comment in the previous video! I appreciate it!
The wear and tear are signs of having fought a many a battle before hand who knows what story each scratch, mark and torn sticker tells one can only imagine the epic fights it’s taken part of
I can't lie when i watched the first cleaning videos you ever did it inspired me to clean my own collection and to see you bring it back after a good while is exciting, excellent video.
Bruno and of course mia, THANK YOU for the zord cleaning links! And placing link down below, I love “shopping with Bruno!” I’ve been telling people for years but incomplete, complete them!
Great vid Bruno. I’m glad I have an original 93 Megazord/Daizyujin looking at those eBay prices 😅. If I had more time and money I would love to do restoration and customs to old Megazords. Just shows what a little bit of work can produce. And now with so many reproduction parts around, some “junk” pieces can look better than the originals.
As one of the authority on this sort of thing, I'd love your critique on my restoration, if you had the time. I did dragonzord, too, but titanus is beyond me at the moment
You truly are a pro at this Bruno, great to know you're working on your display, and I remember that Christmas vlog, great times, thank you yet again for another great video, hope you guys are staying safe and healthy, and Good Night #MMPRtoys #teambrumia

Yes I definitely agree that buying missing pieces can be extremely difficult and expensive and more often than not ends up costing more. It makes much more sense to buy a complete item in the first place unless you really enjoy completing Megazords regardless of cost.
The dino megazord will always remain king of all megazords. Also keep up the great work on here and your second channel. I watch all your videos on both your channels.
Thanks :) We actually retired the vlog channel back in January. People were just coming for Power Rangers, and we have this channel, so we moved the vlogs to Patreon to enable us to post more frequently over here. Personally, I think if there is an old toy that has remained sealed in the box for decades, let it stay that way. At that point, it becomes a relic and should be preserved.
Another awesome video!! I do love a good toy cleaning. I don't know why but it feel calming when I do it. I did a full restauration on my original MMPR Megazord a longtime ago, even bought those reprolabels stickers. But when the legacy megazord came out I put the original in a box and that's it. Do you personally prefer to display the original toy or the better looking "newer" version of a toy?? Like ZAP Astro Megazord, did it replace the original?
We always have fun look. It's a great video filled with the love of Super Sentai! I also have a large collection of robots. I live in Japan, so I'm jealous of overseas conventions! I want to go too 😊
Thank you for these wonderful tips I've never seen the individual vintage boxes of Daijyujin before, its pretty neat I would like to try out the techniques that you demonstrated It does feel like there are endless possibilities with the plastic cleaner I wonder how would it look on old game consoles or game controllers Question: Have you attempted to 3D print missing parts before? I have seen the 3D printed set and prop, the attention to details is on point Thank you for sharing these tips, hopefully I can make it to a convention one of these days to get more megazords
I actually own a similar set of that 3 boxed daizyujin. You're correct though Bruno, it's definitely hard decision to open a vintage toy and put the stickers on
I got Dragonzord brand new in December 2022 my wife had bought me, and this year I got the Dino Megazord brand new. With the Japanese stickers. It looks great.
So I bought a fully complete Zeo Megazord but I forgot to ask if it was in a smoke free house… Turns out it wasn’t… I got the majority of the nicotine residue off, but there is still a little tinge in some areas. I was wondering if there was a solution to brighten up the zords from discoloration
Oh man... I got a set of vinyl Galactabeasts ages ago. I never thought much of the "from a pet/smoke free home thing" until I opened that box. THE SMELL WAS SO STRONG I COULD SEE IT! I don't remember how long it took for the smell to go away, but it was a long time, and I sprayed everything I had in the house on them and they had many baths. The color was okay at least, so, I don't know what's involved in removing the stains, but I've got a lot of cleaning videos on this channel that have gone over everything I'm currently doing. If none of that works I'd probably look up something on TH-cam about removing nicotine stains from plastic. I'm cleaning things that can be wiped away, vs chemical reaction changes to plastic. Same deal with sun damage, my fix for that would be to repaint. I never had any luck with whitening yellowed plastic, even though I've seen other people do it.
Good movie! I have seen the show in the early '90's as a kid, but never got the chance to get the toys. By the time i got a zord it was from season 2 allready. But now i have bought all of them, i bought Dragonzord and Megazord as seccondhand broken zords and made them as good as new, with new accurate stickers. Also i got lucky with a brand new old stock Titanus who was really cheap. Season 2 i had the Thunder Megazord, so that one i re stickered with accurate stickers, i bought a broken Tigerzord and Thor, and made them both also as good as new with accurate stickers and complete with all parts on them again. Even Thor's horn.
What about a "mini" series where you pick a megazord or other random item/subline from the collection and go over what makes it "complete", talking about easily lost/broken parts for people just getting into pr/sentai collecting. For example, i never knew about the part that lets titanus pull the tank mode so either it was a sentai only piece or only with the first release cause my childhood titanus was the second release from the ninja/shogun zord era.
What do I need anything for? It's MMPRtoys, I'll always find a use for the various basement things that have accumulated. Honestly not sure where this specific one came from. I never ate any of my Zords so I accumulated this one at some point in the past decade or so. I find some things down there that I didn't even know existed.
I don't get how one loses the tricera horns but I guess 90's kids were just rough with the zords. I've had to repaint up my abaranger/dino thunder zords. Used a gundam set of markers and the paint matched the original's in most cases. Even helped to improve my PR mezodon rover some since Bandai took out most of the paint and getting the sentai version is harder.
I always appreciate a good cleaning tutorial for old stuff! Question regarding the ebay stuff. When buying from Japan on ebay, do you have to pay any sort of import fees on the purchase? Always appreciate the feedback!
That'll probably vary depending on where you are, but I have always paid the price I see in the auction, never any additional fees. I've always been in the US, shipping to NJ, CA, and now PA. If I was paying additional fees or anything funny like that, I most certainly would have talked about that in the video. But, I don't know what the deal is for people outside of the US.
Never went to toy convention due to the place i lived doesnt have one. But does the one you guys usually came to has the toys with fair price or maybe cheaper compared to online?
Small miscellaneous parts that I've purchased over the years..... - An additional Dragonzord chest plate so that I can make the Ninja/Shogun Ultrazords without disassembling the Dragonzord - Tor's horn (the eBay listing said it was included when it wasn't) - Super Zeo Megazord sword (one of them broke) - Robo Racer blaster (my brother's friend stole it and returned it without the blaster) - 3D printed replica Lights of Orion armor for the Galaxy Megazord - 3D printed replica yellow roof parts for the Supertrain - Wild Force Megazord plate thingy
With the amount of time my toys spent in the bath, im pretty convinced 90s era stickers are damn near indestructible. A little under the tap isnt gonna do much. The metal screws are a different story.
I'd say as long as you dry things quickly, probably okay. My 93 - 03 collection was in the basement of my dad's office in NJ when I was living in CA when one hurricane or another flooded that basement. By the time I made it back to NJ, mold was growing under a lot of the stickers and boxes. Probably would have been fine had I been there at the time. It was a while later that I finally made the trip back. 😕
I mean, you could always use Mias toothbrush 😂😂 I know you've said before that these videos don't get much love, but I find this interesting and educational. Have you ever purchased any of the stickers from BD15? I know they look good in the pictures but was wondering about fit not only for the megazord but for things like the morpher stickers as well. Last thing I was wondering was the yellowing of the plastic, I know you've done videos like this in the past but I don't remember about that and does the finish leave a film after wiping it off? Sorry that was more questions than I meant to write 😂
As in the 1970s series...? That's incredibly random, and I have no toys outside of a ranger key set, never saw the show, have nothing to add/talk about. Right now we're having enough trouble getting people to click on the American seasons they love most. 😕 Nobody is going to touch a video on Goranger. Gotta get more people supporting the videos we've already posted before we can think about things like that.
Got myself a DX Daizyujin not too long ago, comes with a box and all the parts, and even as a bonus it came with the gold King Brachion chains. But the downside the stickers were peeling or faded, so I managed to get the original sticker sheets to help restore it
Those are some nice looking mega zords even the Japanese counterpart and the difference between Dragon Caesar and Dragonzord is if I remember correctly ours wasn’t electronic like Dragon Caesar I would be happy finding a Japanese green ranger power coin cause we never got one in America until the legacy edition morpher
Have you ever replaced stickers with repro stickers? I have to assume someone out there makes them right? Well look at that just had to finish the video!
Recently picked up a group of vintage toys at an auction and among them was what Google lens identified as a: 1999 Bandai Power Rangers Deluxe Lost Galaxy Megazord. It’s the one with the gold spikes on his head. I saw it has a switch on the back of the body, so it made me think battery, but I don’t see a battery compartment. What does the battery operate? Lights and sounds? Yours was one of the few recent videos on Megazord restoration so thought I’d ask about how to get to the battery to check/change it. Don’t want to break it by just starting to take out screws.
Hi Bruno, great content 👍🏼 Can you tell me the approximate value in Euros for a strongly used 1993 DX Titanos with original used box but without chain nor description nor sticker paper? (stickers are on)
Thanks :) I'm unfortunately not familiar with Euros, or Titanus pricing, what I would do is go on eBay and sort through the sold completed listings to see what things similar to your Titanus are selling for.
Found a Japan Daizyujin missing the Ptera for $10 a while ago and I'm still looking for the Japanese Ptera, a contact of mine from Asia found me a Mammoth head from the Japanese set so I got that covered already, he's still searching for the Ptera, kinda hard since it always comes with the set even loose and I'm not looking for a complete loose set cause that cost a lot more than continuing with the restoration of Japanese version. The accessories and parts I'm stealing from my MMPR release since I got lucky and got the Chromed sword version and that's pretty much exactly the same as the Japanese version. How do you know I got the Japanese version you might ask? Just check the stickers and most importantly the production stamp. The Tyrano and Mammoth has them but the Sabertooth and Triceratops doesn't. I just compared the Japanese version stickers vs the American that I own and vs reprolabels stickers cause people still use them to restore the American MMPR stuff. Mine is definitely the original stickers too cause of all the age wear from the corners of the stickers despite them still being in decent condition. 9:48 and 10:08 Yeah that guy, he's an Ok repro maker. I still like Override Japan when it comes to making repro parts.

Sorry that was more questions than I meant to write 😂
Bruno do a video on go ranger stuff! Please
But the downside the stickers were peeling or faded, so I managed to get the original sticker sheets to help restore it
Wow, finding original sticker sheets was very lucky!
@@MMPRtoys Yeah it was, it came with the box too, but the box was also in better condition too
W tutorial ong I always trust the experts
Those are some nice looking mega zords even the Japanese counterpart and the difference between Dragon Caesar and Dragonzord is if I remember correctly ours wasn’t electronic like Dragon Caesar I would be happy finding a Japanese green ranger power coin cause we never got one in America until the legacy edition morpher
Have you ever replaced stickers with repro stickers? I have to assume someone out there makes them right? Well look at that just had to finish the video!
These? th-cam.com/video/gl2aCX0_7e8/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the info
Recently picked up a group of vintage toys at an auction and among them was what Google lens identified as a: 1999 Bandai Power Rangers Deluxe Lost Galaxy Megazord. It’s the one with the gold spikes on his head. I saw it has a switch on the back of the body, so it made me think battery, but I don’t see a battery compartment. What does the battery operate? Lights and sounds?
Yours was one of the few recent videos on Megazord restoration so thought I’d ask about how to get to the battery to check/change it. Don’t want to break it by just starting to take out screws.
Hi Bruno, great content 👍🏼
Can you tell me the approximate value in Euros for a strongly used 1993 DX Titanos with original used box but without chain nor description nor sticker paper? (stickers are on)
Thanks :) I'm unfortunately not familiar with Euros, or Titanus pricing, what I would do is go on eBay and sort through the sold completed listings to see what things similar to your Titanus are selling for.
I will gladly take Dragonzord feet pics, thank you very much.
Wow! $10? That's almost unheard of! Where'd you find that? That's quite a deal! (Even with missing parts)
Power rangers for 2024
You could use Mia’s Toothbrush Lol.
This video is morphinominal
