Nice video, and it's always cool to see someone mentions Nemezes's homebrew. Cadillacs is basically a institution here in Brazil because in almost every corner with a bar, you could see a machine with Cadillacs and Dinossaurs, so every kid who grew in the 90's here, know about this game.
👍. I also really enjoy Armored Warriors + Battle Circuit. Those beatemups have depth to their gameplay & mechanics. D&D Shadow Over Mystara is also an amazing game 😎
Thanks for the history lesson on this fantastic game! I think it's a real Capcom fan favorite! The music is rocking on every single stage from the beginning, right to the end with your final match with Dr. Fesseneden! A couple cool things to note are that you could let sleeping dinasaurs lay sleeping, or give them a few patty- wacks to tame them if they briefly attack you; also the scene where 4 fat boys run at your character from each corner of the screen and crash into each other at the center of the screen, if you successfully move your character away in time. 😝🤞🏾
Great choice! I found this one through MAME, it never made the arcades where I was at the time and I find it to be the best and most 'mature' use of the 'punisher' game engine that was used for several of the last Capcom 16-bit side-brawlers. So much fun, especially steamrolling baddies by the dozen with my Caddy in the desert. It really is an arcade classic.
Before Capcom Coi Op closed I came about and bought the sequel protype of this game called Cadillac's Pimps & Whores. It has Heidi Flice as a playable character

CPS 1 board games always interest me. Capcom even released its cps-changer that uses SNES pads like neogeo aes. It was a good platform and favourite of mine in the arcades- well and truly powerful hardware at the time that home consoles couldn’t compete with till the Saturn and PlayStation era.

How are the dinosaurs endangerd if they are a dominat spicies again? If anything the potchers are just ordenary hunters. Also yes, please do the rail shooter this is such a cool looking series!
Before I get deep into this video I must confess...and this might seem silly to say but even though it's a Capcom game and I'm a huge fan of beat em ups I've never taken the time to play this game. The only Capcom beat em ups from the 90's that I played were the two D&D games Tower Of Doom and Shadows Over Mystara port for the Sega Saturn, Captain Commando for SNES and The Punisher for Genesis. Whenever a game was based on a movie or franchise I'm unfamiliar with, especially during the 90's and 2000s, I tended to shy away and miss out on many of them. This weekend since I've had the game sitting in my mame collection for so long I'm going to play it from beginning to end sometime this weekend. I already know your commentary will be great but the QSound music is what sold me about 2 minutes into the video lol 😃
Fantastic. I hope you have fun playing it. To be honest I've only played the dungeons and dragons games a handful of times so don't feel too bad. Thanks
I have so many memories playing this game as a kid at my local mall arcade, Aladdins Castle. They had this machine right next to Lucky and Wild, and I would jump from one to the other - always busting my budget and begging for more money. I am not sure how popular it would be, but I would love to learn some backstory on Lucky and Wild.
Good coverage and footage as usual Patman. I've heard soo much about this series and even more so the game but have never played it. I've always hoped it would be re-released in a beat em up pack but licensing issues probably prevents that along with Alien vs. Predator and Punisher.

Great documentary and it was interesting to learn about the comic book history too. Thank you. I need to complete this game next chance I get. I only got through the first level and then ran out of time back then. Amazing how Blanka shows up. I never saw the Genesis version in stores, thanks for showing it. Thanks, Patman!

Wow, I had forgotten this game existed, and I had no idea about its source material or that there was a cartoon! I always learn cool stuff from your vids. It's a shame Caddies And Dinos couldn't have been included on the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle released a few years back.
Caddilacs and Dinosaurs along with AvP and the Punisher were meant to be included the beat em collection, but an agreement couldn't be reached so they were left out of it. It's a real shame in all accounts. It would been great to get the complete collection of all of Capcoms classic beat em ups.
SO sad that this never made it to consoles. This is right up there with River City Ransom as one of my favorite beat-em-ups. It just balanced things so "right."
Great documentary about C&D! Good idea using the music of the game in the background! I hope you do that in the rest of the documentaries you do. By the way, I just realized that Jack and Hannah were named after the nature documentary wild America host Jack Hanna.
Thank you, I never realized that about the names either. Dundee could have been named after Crocodile Dundee as well but I found no evidence to support that
I always thought this was a baffling choice for a Saturday Morning Cartoon. We were at the dawn of the indie comics as cartoons boom since TMNT, continuing with the likes of The Tick and Sam & Max. But a CBS cartoon series was a weird venue. Really seems like it could have thrived as a syndicated series where there wasn't as heavy of Standards and Practices as network children's television. Even Fox Kids would have been a stronger home for the series, as it had both Batman TAS and X-Men, both shows pushing what can be shown on kid's television.
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries I seem to remember that CBS was trying to rebrand its Saturday Morning Line Up at that period the "Action Zone" and every show lasted only a season, except for the back end of the TMNT series.

With all the recent obscure and dormant I.P retro game re-releases we are getting from Limited Run an Digital Eclipse; I hope that both the Arcade game and Sega CD game; get re-released in one compilation for current and next gen platforms (especially for the Nintendo Switch ecosystem. A double pack of those two games would probably help cover the license fees; unless Capcom can just release a Marvel/Disney beat em up bundle with the Punisher, Alien VS Predator and Cadillacs and Dinosaurs (since at this time all 3 are owned by Disney/Marvel).
The problem with the dinosaurs IP is the number of people involved that would have to get on board. Mark Schultz the creator, possibly kitchen sink press, CBS who did the cartoon, Capcom and General Motors. That's a lot of pieces of the pie to share. The same thing happened for decades when it came to the 1966 Batman license which wasn't resolved until about 10 to 15 years ago
@patmanqc-historyofarcadega6601 Sad but true. At best, maybe the gane can be brought to current platforms with some changes if names Gere and there; (Lol "Cars and Dinosaurs); while retaining most of what makes the arcade game so good (like the music)!

LOL, I was hoping someone would get the joke. I thought I mentioned you can use the empty rifle as a weapon. Thank you and bababooey to you all
I can personally vouch for the morning wood thing.
Awesome, I thought it was just me :-)
... it's also referred to as a 'kickstand" 👍
Another great one on probably my favorite beat em up ever. I always thought it was stupid that they never ported it to consoles. The C&D on Sega CD was the $hits.
It is a ton of fun to play. I had fun playing the Sega CD version but it doesn't compare to the arcade game
Yeah, but didn't Elon Musk program on C&D2 for Sega CD?
How are the dinosaurs endangerd if they are a dominat spicies again? If anything the potchers are just ordenary hunters.
Also yes, please do the rail shooter this is such a cool looking series!
I don't think they ever explain why
Always learn something new about old classics here, great video
Glad you enjoyed it , Thanks so much
One of my favorite beat ‘em ups. The soundtrack is dope.
I am not sure how popular it would be, but I would love to learn some backstory on Lucky and Wild.
the famous Mustapha game...
One of my favourites, to this day! Thanks, Patman 👍🔥
Absolutely, thanks for watching
Good coverage and footage as usual Patman. I've heard soo much about this series and even more so the game but have never played it. I've always hoped it would be re-released in a beat em up pack but licensing issues probably prevents that along with Alien vs. Predator and Punisher.
It's possible it could be re-released but three or four companies would all have to come together. Thanks
You have to love a beat 'em up where you get to punch a T-Rex in the face.
LOL no doubt
Awesome game, childhood memories from trips to Spain - where they had arcademachines
That sounds fantastic, I always wanted to visit there
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries It was amazing going there for holidays when i was a boy. Putting in those pesetas to play Street Fighter II with kids from other countries also being at the hotel. No one understood each other though, hehe.
This was one of the first games I've putted my name on the top. It was my birthday, and I've just received some cash... I went to the arcade right after and spent it all to put my name on it. My parents were angry af, but it was worth it.
Thank you my friend. I knew about the cartoon series at the time this game was released but had no idea about the original comic book back then
He he... I once beat this game cuz it glitched and my machine gun never ran out of ammo. I just blasted everyone from beginning to end 😂
Oh how cool is that LOL
Thank you patmanqc, great video!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I never played the video games but did collect the comics, great content.
Richard Simmons voice:
"GARY!!! GAAARRRYYY!!!"
LOL, comment of the day
This looks awesome but I don’t think I’ve ever played it. I’m 49 and didn’t think I’d missed many of Capcom’s fighters, I’m in the UK so I don’t know if it made it over here or not? Great video as always.
I'm not sure, thanks
Wow, I had forgotten this game existed, and I had no idea about its source material or that there was a cartoon! I always learn cool stuff from your vids. It's a shame Caddies And Dinos couldn't have been included on the Capcom Beat 'Em Up Bundle released a few years back.
I agree, it definitely should have been there. Thanks for the nice words
Caddilacs and Dinosaurs along with AvP and the Punisher were meant to be included the beat em collection, but an agreement couldn't be reached so they were left out of it. It's a real shame in all accounts. It would been great to get the complete collection of all of Capcoms classic beat em ups.
i found ONE comic store with this machine in the 90s and dumped dozens into it just to see the two headed TRex man boss. Never made it that far lol
It was an in arcades around here for very long growing up
SO sad that this never made it to consoles. This is right up there with River City Ransom as one of my favorite beat-em-ups. It just balanced things so "right."
Yes, the gameplay was perfect
Great documentary about C&D! Good idea using the music of the game in the background! I hope you do that in the rest of the documentaries you do. By the way, I just realized that Jack and Hannah were named after the nature documentary wild America host Jack Hanna.
Thank you, I never realized that about the names either. Dundee could have been named after Crocodile Dundee as well but I found no evidence to support that
Marty Stouffer hosted Wild America but Jack Hanna did host several wildlife shows.
Jack and Hanna. Really??? LMAO. Love your videos PacMan. Please don't ever change
Thanks buddy, I appreciate that
I always thought this was a baffling choice for a Saturday Morning Cartoon.
Clearly kids didn't like it either as it only lasted one season. I thought it was pretty cool
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries I seem to remember that CBS was trying to rebrand its Saturday Morning Line Up at that period the "Action Zone" and every show lasted only a season, except for the back end of the TMNT series.
Out of all the stuff ive played via mame, this's one of the best
It is fantastic
I finally got to play through this game last year on emulation it was cool.
Yes it's a lot of fun
I love the 3 stooges. I have the ultimate collection on DVD unopened still in the plastic
Very cool, I have always loved them
This is my favorite beat em game.
It's a lot of fun
Whenever I go back and play this one, the guy at the "Game Over" screen make me think of Vince Vaughn 😄
I can see that
Jack Hanna is a legend
Yes he was
Excellent review. Thank you, PatmanQC!
Thanks!
Played this classic until the finish back in the day. Being in England, we'd not heard of it. Just thought it was hilariously random, lol.
It is very random LOL
You the man, Pat!
Thanks a lot my friend
6:09 Yes can you do the review of Cadillac and Dinosaurs on the SEGA CD PatmanQC I love that game not only the SEGA CD game I love and enjoy but I also enjoy Cadillac and Dinosaurs the Arcade from CAPCOM® but can you do the SEGA CD game please PatmanQC!!
Okay, I will check it out at some point
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries Awesome, thank you PatmanQC you are Awesome!!
Thank you Patman. I really needed this video. Baba Booey
Excellent, thank you
With all the recent obscure and dormant I.P retro game re-releases we are getting from Limited Run an Digital Eclipse; I hope that both the Arcade game and Sega CD game; get re-released in one compilation for current and next gen platforms (especially for the Nintendo Switch ecosystem.
This is a really pretty awesome game, nice video.
Thank you 👍
The Mega CD game brought „rocket scientist“ Elon Musk to America. It was the first game he worked on in the US
... that's a cool factoid 😎👍
I never knew that, thanks
I played a good clone of this on
Mini clip.
It was called dino strike.
oh you just mentioned it.😂
LOL
The rainbow edition is crazy.😂
No doubt, I was floored the first time I played it
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries someone also did that with super mario
World with a rom hack.
It was called strange mario world.
This time Mario was overpowered by
The weight of enemies.
@@PatmanQC-Arcade-Documentaries look's like the baddies did their homework.
This is a really cool show and I enjoy it.
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the content
Thanks Patman!
Thanks for watching
The comic wasn't cancelled, Schultz just takes forever.
The last issue by him was published in 1996 so everywhere I have read says it's canceled. If not that is crazy :-)
My favorite Arcade game. Fun fun fun !
Yes, it's crazy fun
Whoa a Brazilian Sega Genesis Version! Mind Blown!
There's only one Cadilac and hardly any dinosaurs in the game.
Cadillac and Dinosuar(s)?
There are a few dinosaurs but not many
Great work Sir 👍👍 thank you
So nice of you
I didn't see that coming...morning wood😂😂
LOL
The Japanese actually use the expression 新世紀 , which literally translates to "new century", but with the meaning of "post-apocalypse". Weird.
Very strange, thanks
Jack Hannah, I see what they did there.
Absolutely
The ending makes me laugh because Jack Hanna is a real person
Yes LOL I'm sure that was no coincidence
French fries in a frosty is insanity!
It's really good though
You'll be glad you did
LOL thanks
Nice thumbnail~
Why thank you :-)
Yes please do the sega CD version please! :D
It is on the list
Can’t wait!
Many thanks :D
