I Live For Your Love is my favourite Natalie Cole song. Her voice, the phrasing..... it was hers, and she. Owned. It. The arrangement for that song was very 80s (I get it), but those were the times..... truly an amazing song. She had a rightfully very famous father, but Natalie Cole was an amazing talent in her own right.

Natalie Cole has been a favorite of mine since This Will Be came out when I was in elementary school. Her voice has always reminded me of a fine brass instrument and she could do anything with it. She put out so much great music over the years, and on top of that, she seemed like such a lovely, sincere person. I had the privilege to attend a concert of hers only once, and I was shocked an saddened when she passed. I listen to her music constantly.

The 70's can arguably be considered the greatest decade for music. You had the soul sounds of Motown. You had The Who, Led Zeppelin, Queen, and the Eagles. You had Aerosmith, Van Halen, Rush, Kiss, The BeeGees, and John Denver. You had a multitude of singer-songwriters cranking out music left and right. And you had the former members of The Beatles putting out solo music. The 70's also saw rock opera's like Tommy being turned into movies. Country music was just beginning its journey to become more mainstream with songs showing up in movies. It really was a great decade for music!

Happy 1st Anniversary guys! Natalie had another hit with Pink Cadillac. She also did a virtual duet with her late Dad, Unforgettable. You need to check it out. She was really young here. Later she wore her hair smooth and long. RIP to both Nat and Natalie

In the 70's great music like this played daily and of course nightly on our car radios for all the couple's cruzin....and we had no idea how great and rare the 70's music was! Too bad most of today's musicians have obviously never even listened to any music like this...

Check out her "duet" with her dad when they over laid both voices after her dad passed away . The song was Nat King Cole"s amazing hit song "Unforgettable!* She dedicated that dual recording to her dad. It sounded like she was having a duet with her father...It is brilliant ly done! So check it out!!

This lady has so many great hits. She is by far one of my favorite singers of all time. I actually performed her song Our Love at a school talent show.

Wanna hear something exceptional? Her version of the Beatles "Lucy in the Sky" is something to behold. Loved her wide selection of material. She grew up loving rock and could pull off some real rock tunes in a way only she could. Saw her in concert before she passed. When she started singing Neil Young's "Old Man", it was like I was transported somewhere else for a moment. Her interpretation was amazing.

@@chs75 Glad you liked it. She possessed such control over her voice. What she could make it do was enthralling. But never overkill like today's singers.

A wonderful singer we lost her in 2015. She was only 15 when she lost her father the legendary Nat King Cole .1991 recorded a duet version of her father’s hit Unforgettable using technology singing with her father

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Natalie is a force to be reckoned with and has one of those voices that afforded her the opportunity to sing R&B, rock, pop, jazz, blues as well as holding her own with Pavorotti...as for the background singers, she recorded backing vocals on most of her early sessions. The video is a clip from The Midnight Special. The young ladies were her 'live' background singers.

It’s hard to believe she’s gone already and her dad has been gone longer then I’ve been alive. Her dad’s Christmas songs are my absolute favorite and she was such a talent. Hopefully they are singing all over Heaven for everyone up there.
