    Teddy is the man! I am sure the owner is a lot happier to have a complete ghetto blaster - where everything works properly once again. Great job.
    Batteries can be like electrolytic capacitors - when they leak/rupture, they leave highly corrosive crap everywhere which can be a royal pain to clean up.
    I hope the owner remembers to take them out when not using it for a long time in future.

      Thank you for your compliment. The door was slightly sized difference, but at the end of the day it fit just like original. The batteries problem are always shocking when I find it. As you said the owner should not forget to remove it before keep them in the closet.

    Hi, when I play a tape in mine I get a monotone noise playing over the tape, any idea how I can fix this?

    • @teddyhashee
      @teddyhashee  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      First, you want to clean the cassette deck from bottom to top, I mean remove cassette deck from the boombox and clean inside. Especially around the head section. Then you want to de-magnetize the heads. Probably this is my guess the noise came from the magnetized head condition.

    Добрый день, учитывая Ваш опыт какие моторы можно поставить взамен родных на Шарп Gf-7500, QT-37 - здесь односкоростные, протяг такой же как на шарпах GF-700, GF-500.Ни как не могу подобрать, ставлю мабучи 9вольт через стабилизатор 7809 он минут 10-15 работает нормально а потом начинает падать скорость, пробую с другой магнитолы родной все работает нормально, что можно поставить взамен родному, посоветуйте пожалуйста...

    question again ... The cream you use to polish chrome plated parts. ?

    • @teddyhashee
      @teddyhashee  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      for the chrome plated parts, fist you want to wash with mild detergent, then use goo-gone to remove stains,
      If you can not remove the heavy stains, you can use chrome cream very rightly. If you use too much or with too strong pressure it will peel the plated chrome.

    I enjoy your videos

    • @teddyhashee
      @teddyhashee  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Are you handy enough to open up the body, checking inside wiring, soldering, etc...?
      If so, solder the signal wire (L,R.G) to the AUX in from inside of the boombox. You need to separate switch inside of the AUX jack. Connect your bluetooth to this wires. Find power from power source, adjust voltage for your bluetooth module. There maybe the noise because you are using same power source with boombox and bluetooth, in that case add gourndloop noise eliminator.
      Or simple way, connect Bluetooth from outside through AUX.
      amzn.to/2MYdMV6
      Or buy one of the cassette type bluetooth.

    you are very good, but I can know how do you remember all cables and pieces after when you have to assemble?

    • @teddyhashee
      @teddyhashee  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I took many pictures, I draw wiring by hand with color pencils, and I use many small containers to put all removed parts including screws with memo. If I can not remember the way how it was put together, I check my video footage. So basically I took all kinds of memo in order to remember every steps.

    How you solve broken cog (plastic) in tape machine

    • @teddyhashee
      @teddyhashee  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just left it as it was. Without finding the exact same parts from same deck, I was not able to replace it. That one was for FF or REW, but not for the PLAY tape. So as long as not using FF or REW, this boombox still play the tape without any problems. I always think that we can not make or restore the vintage electronics into the complete and perfect condition. When they are aged, it is like us human that they may have some issues in their system, but if we learn how to live with it, we can enjoy music with it. Thanks for the comment.

    Surprised you didn't replace that broken gear in the tape deck. But since it seems to play fine anyways, I assume it wasn't anything important.
    Also, RIP Aretha Franklin.

    • @teddyhashee
      @teddyhashee  6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you for your comment. The broken gear didn't affect for playing tape, so I left it as it was. The vintage boombox is like human. When we are getting old, we may have some bad condition somewhere in the body. We go hospital and try to heal it, and at the same time we need to learn how to live with it. So that gear in the GF-8686, until I find the replacement exact same gear, that will be there. The owner of the boombox understands that this old friend has some issue inside of its body and we need to take care of him/her with gentle manor.
