Thanks for posting this. The lead singer (Keith Dix) has since passed away and the high tenor (Hugh Geyer) has left the group, so this is The Vogues at their best.
@oldvinyldj I don't know if you are referring to me recording the group here. But if you are let me set the record straight. I am not with the band, did not know the band members or crew members. And this was on the spur of the moment. I didn't know they were performing at the park that day. And since not knowing them I couldn't very well go asking to plug into their mixing console. I'm just glad they let me record it in the first place.
@BandOnTheRun87 Not all four of the originals, but there are two originals here. Chuck Blasko (on the left) and Hugh Geyer (third from the left, with the beard). I'm glad that Hugh was here as he lends that particular tenor voice that we all know and love.
What a song, years ago I called a radio show host asking her for the info on the song or artist. She replied sing few bars, I did and she got it, and told me she would play the song next, but not before she played my rendition live... I will never forget that day or today , to be lucky to be back in love and seeing this video!! Thanks for sharing this memory...
I think this was last year 2007. Sucks when even I can't remember for sure, and I was there. But it was a really good show. They performed some other songs that I didn't upload mainly because they were covers of songs that they didn't record. And they were pretty good too. Maybe some day I'll put them up.
Hi, I just saw Chuck Blasko last week with 2 new guys.. oh my are they good! You're right, even the cover songs they did we're great! I recorded them all.. 😊
these guys did two of my favorite songs from the 60s y this and five oclock world .there were more great songs in the 1960s then any other decade, from hard rock to pop to bubblegum . instrumentals , from the Archies to Hendrix and everything in between .peace love and music .
Interesting introduction. I never knew that Pet Clark actually wrote this. (I only know her version.) I always thought that she sung songs written by others or did great cover versions. Thanks for uploading this.
Parker sorry for the loss of your grandfather. I hope you watch the other clips I uploaded of this show. I got some sort of closeups of him. Wish I had a hi-def camera back then, would have made this even better.
@@kpdavethank you :) this comment is very old and I hope this finds you well, he was my great uncle not my grandfather🫶🏽 he died when I was very young and it’s incredible how you have such a gem, though I’ll never truly get to meet him now thank you for leaving a part of him here for me to cherish, it means everything to me!
Ayayayay!

No auto-tune here folks - just four great voices in harmony.

Bill Burkette, Hugh Geyes, Chuck Blasko, and Dan Miller were the original members. Bill Burkette past away this year.

The Vogues are from Turtle Creek, PA, which is only a short car ride from where I live, just right outside Pittsburgh.
Quem chegou aqui pelo "gambito da rainha " ....deixa o like

I will listen to Pet’s version now; but I can’t imagine it’s as good as the Vogues.
I had to sing a song in my 7th grade music class (in 1969) and I chose this song from my mom's small, but most excellent record collection.
FIVE OCLOCK WORLD...you named it.
Loved all your music back in the 60's..,.
are these all the original members?
