- Hello, this is our first proper video and it is a bit of a homage to one of Tim’s favourite company’s Orange bikes. It’s definitely not an official history, the information has been gathered from various sources on the internet.
Orange bikes is an iconic British bike brand that has a huge cult following around the world if you want to find out more and the facts check out

Interesting, you didn't go into the constant frame snapping and refusal to replace frames that do snap in recent times though.
I'll never go near them because of that. I can walk to the factory from here too.
That’s rubbish of them, sorry if I make another I will try and include that. I’ve never had a bike break, but I know how frustrating it would be when you’ve spent thousands on something that shouldn’t.
Nice great explanation of where the name came from. I own a ms isle. Sub zero, zero and patriot myself glad to see they were kept afloat and still British owed and manufactured
The switch 7 is honestly a beast I love it
Off Road Range? I did not know that. I have an Alpine Evo and it's a stunner.
I have owned a five and alpine 6 and until I was researching for the video I didn’t know where the name orange came from
@@bikefilthI have often wondered tbh, just assumed it was a daft name someone came up with back in the day. I love the bikes, I love the way they're made in Halifax by hand and I love the fact that they've always done it their own way. It's a rare thing in an industry constantly trying to sell us more of everything. More carbon, more pivots, more waste.
@@SteveKimbo very true, I think you might enjoy the next one too. Im working on one for another British brand, who are in many ways similar to orange, only they tend to manufacture in Taiwan, I'm sure you can guess them and I think they were as much of an influence on the UK Mountain Bike scene from my prospective. thanks for watching btw.
I thought it was abbreviated from 'all of the range' (said in a Yorkshire accent).
Got a Five Evo, dislike nothing and love literally everything about it.💯
As a big fan also my suggestion for another brand to talk about has to be Hope as Hope and Orange go together like beans on toast or fish and chips, etc.😎👍
I’m glad you’re also an Orange fan. Hope is 100% on the list of companies to cover, thank you for watching and your comment.
Very bad brand it will break the frame just like that us TH-camr waiting for months for a new frame it’s too hollow these frames lol
I’ve been hearing this quite a bit now, is this recent? They used to have a good rep.
