Sometimes I forget about how genuinely well crafted, but also legitimately terrifying this game was
I know. Most levels were to made rush them almost perfectly.
What make these levels so good is that their challenging, but never unfair. They still remain fun and because of this it allows a player to continually play the level until they finally beat it, instead of just giving up.

I agree with the exception of those blue flies in World 6's temple. Those things suck hard.

@@Connor_Scandone Definitley. I had to cheat in the end to get around those flies. I kept pausing every couple of seconds to see where the flies were and plan how to get around them.
@@gungaloscrungalo8925 I just got max lives and used the extra heart power up to eventually finish it... I also think World 1 temple was a pain tbh
The only parts I hate are the classic completing the area then you see the puzzle piece appear and youre like: fuck and die to then on the next live try to catch the puzzle piece 😂😂

Voltage Tortoiz they where extemely hard for me (except number 7 ) but i did manage to finish them all, but i never played the mirrored levels or did many time trial levels

If I was to list them from easiest to hardest (in my opinion) it would go:
Easy: 8K-Five Monkey Trial (Red Orb)
Easy: 3K-Shifty Smashers (White Orb)
Medium: 5K-Blast 'N' Bounce (Yellow Orb)
Medium: 4K-Jagged Jewels (Pink Orb)
Hard: 1K-Platform Panic (Green Orb)
Hard: 2K-Tumblin, Temple (Blue Orb)
Hard: 7K-Treacherous Track (Black Orb)
Torture: 6K-Perilous Passage (Orange Orb)

I grew up on the wii so this was one of the last games I got for it and I kind of hate this game for some of these levels

4-k 6-k and 8-k are the worst in mirror mode!
katiermc Playing these levels in mirror mode is something I wouldn't wish upon even Ted Bundy.
I do all temple level in mirror mode but this goal was difficult to reach
I came back to this game and started doing the temple levels
i played this when i was ten but never uncovered 2 of the temples, now i feel like buying my wii back and completing the whole thing again

These are hard levels, which will push your timing and speed to their limits, and reward you handsomely if you win.
And then there is Shifty Smashers.
3DS, Switch, and Gamecube games like this made me a master at platforming games. All that torture was worth it
For some reason Jagged Jewels is my favorite temple level
Jagged Jewels and Perilous Passage = PTSD intesifies
My favourite is Five Monkey Trial, because it's easy with the golden potion
Yeah ironic how easy it is since it's the final kong temple only took me 2 trys
Five monkey trial is easy also in mirror mode
How i managed to beat all of these at around 8 years old is crazy because now I look at them and I’m just like nah skip that 😂
i thought the same but tbh I just think you and me both used the super kong and forgot about it. Cause I remembered I could never finish the golden temple even though it was way easier than some temple levels like world 6 and it was probably because it didn’t have the super kongs available

*1-K:* Challenging and a good start of the 1st hell ring!
*2-K:* Hard, but nothing out of hands.
*3-K:* No skill required, just patience and a bit of common sense.
*4-K: HELL NO!* Good luck with Jagged Jewels in Mirror mode...
*5-K: *Vietnam flashbacks** it's unfair...
*6-K: OH FCK NO!!! THIS IS REALLY UNFAIR, YOU'LL GET HIT EVENTUALLY!!* Took me like 2 days to complete this level and a whole week for Mirror mode. No joking.
*7-K:* Back in the business! Kinda hard to get everything in perfect sync, but satisfying as hell, ngl.
*8-K:* Prove you are worth the entrance of The Golden Banana Temple!
*9-1:* Prove yourself your the real and one Donkey Kong grandson!
jagged jewels is hard in mirror mode but without it it was fairly easy since you get diddy and 4x the health than in mirror mode
who here thinks that DK should have a Funky Kong costume in smash ultimate

I’m fairly sure the 3DS port had an actual world 9 instead of just 1 level
Literally a year late but it does, I struggled for like months trying to get it, its pretty cool
5 monkey trials was my fav. the gameplay was so fun

Jagged Jules and perilous passage are the hardest to me
these levels were not what I was expecting, The most difficult was the 5th secret phase. I TOOK WEEKS TO COMPLETE THEM!!!! And also make the secret phases 100%. (I only found out about these phases I think in 2019 or in 2020)

I’m currently playing through the 3DS version of this game. I’ve completed the temples for worlds 1-5 and have unlocked the ones for worlds 6 and 7, but haven’t beaten them yet. Not gunna lie, I don’t know if it’s really worth beating them as simply playing one of these levels gives me anxiety.
Not sure if you still play the game but a little thing I found out is that if you can unlock the world 8 temple you can definitely beat it, the world 8 levels are so tough especially to get the Kong letters but the temple is one of the easiest especially with the potions, plus you get tons of banana coins. Also atleast for me if you’re stuck on 8-2 it gets far easier after the checkpoint so keep that in mind

WORLD 9-6 GOLDEN TEMPLE
Tropical Freeze may have had technically better visuals, but the visual design of Returns backgrounds was superior.

My brothor showed me this which I haven't heard at the time he had time to play and get all the "KONG" letters and puzzle pieces
And told me to finish the "run temple" it was not easy my hands were really badly hurt when I got to the 2-k from there it hurts like hell
I have the saves lucky
I was 7 at that time. I'm 14 I will finish this once and for all so I can play tropical freeze
Cave k level took me the longest and the cliff k level i cant eveb complete

Who is honestly gonna play mirror mode. You already have a hard time with two hearts and normal mode with Diddy Kong…

4 whole years late and youve probably figured it out but when you go to the start menu of a level before entering it there should be an option for mirror mode

1 - For some reason, I have a hard time with this one even though it doesn't look that painful.
2 - Not too bad, besides it has a barrel at the start so there's a safety net.
3 - Looks intimidating, but isn't too hard as long as you don't rush it.
4 - FUCK! THIS! LEVEL!
5 - Real nightmare, but Bopopolis from Tropical Freeze is this on steroids.
6 - God damn electrical things make this way harder than it has any right to be.
7 - Oh great, I always WANTED a fucking Tanked-Up Trouble redux!
8 - Not bad, but that last one gives me a coronary and a half.
9 - I fucking quit.

You have to get all kong letters
get all kong letters in every level of a world then you can unlock the temple for that world
