My 07 accord K24 with 342k miles still has the original trans fluid in it. 95% highway miles, shifts perfectly.

Same color coming out because only 25% fluid got changed, I did my RX350 by disconnecting cooler line after replace fluid in pan, then push the test fluid out, 8 quartz total, works good.

Changed mine today at approx 150,000miles and it shifts much better after the first two test drives after. Hope it works well until the next one

The higher up fill hole is for the factory to put a pre measured amount of fluid in.

It will shift good as soon as the new oil mixes with the old oil that was in the torque converter. Better to change the oil once again between 10 k and 15 k miles.

If your vehicle has a dipstick, go to Valvoline. They will suck out the fluid, replace with new fluid, suck fluid again until they put 8 quarts of new fluid total. This will get out more of the bad fluid. They will check the dipstick and top it off perfectly. One machine does it automatically by putting a thin tube down the dipstick hole. Costs about $170

This vehicle does not have a dipstick. That's why he used the check port.

This is almost as easy as an oil change. If you car has a dipstick it's very easy.

Not by doing a drain and fill. This only changes about 30% of the fluid in an automatic transmission. This should be done every 30k miles. In this case do a drain and fill 2 weeks after the first and agin 2 weeks after that. This will slowly replace the amount of new fluid. Afternthat I would change it one last time and change the filter. Dropping the pan will replace more of the fluid but after slowly raising the % of new fluid you will be okay by that time.

It’s ok the CHANGE the fluid 3 quarts at a time every oil change don’t just flush it all at once bc that will remove all the clutch material out that help the trans shift properly with old burnt fluid… I did a Tran fluid change 3 quarts replaced with synthetic trans fluid on my 1998 Lexus GS300 an it’s been 4500 miles an I have a oil change coming up and I’m going to change the trans fluid again with the same synthetic trans fluid again when I change my oil with Mobil 1 Ext Perf 20k Mile Oil… Normally I do my oil changes between 3-4k to keep sludge an varnish down an remove it but money has been tight so I’m changing it at 5k miles this time…

I drain and fill 3.5 litres on my ‘15 dodge dart every 30k miles. I can easily take care of all the fluids, anything else, I need a real man to take care of the difficult stuff.

So…you only put about 2-3 qts of new oil in a box with a total capacity of at least 8. So that will only make a minor difference, even if you remove the pan you won’t get 100% of the oil out.

You don’t want to flush a high mileage car. You want to keep the particles to compensate for the west and tear of engine. Flushing it can create problems such as slipping

Yes, it either has a CVT or a 6-speed manual. Changing the CVT fluid will only change a portion of it like and automatic. I would be doing that every 30k miles on a CVT. They create a lot more heat and need regular fluid changes.

Great Vid. After my trans oil change on my 06 LS430 here's jerks/slips in shifts. I'm planning to use half quart Luka's Transmission Fix however I reckon its too thick to pump into the transmission fill port. Plus no dip stick for transmission oil on these cars. Any tips?

I wouldn't hesitate to change the trans fluid. Toyota recommends every 60k. There is no carb on your car. Run a PEA based cleaner (Techron, Regane, Redline) in your gas if you are worried about injector fouling. Top Tier gas and regular oil changes. 160k is only broken in. Did you change plugs at 120 with OEM ?
