Thank you for actually giving reviews and deep details, even of the inside' took so much scrolling thru shill videos from others to find your videos. Really late in the process of deciding, wish I found your channel earlier.
Hi there -- Thank you very much for your kind words. Unfortunately, we hear this a lot. Google and TH-cam don't make it easy to find real expert content, at least in this product category. Glad you found us though, just in time!
Excited for the chance to win this mattress... what ive learned from this review is that it has 7 layers and that it has a very cooling effect...also that its a medium firm/softness =)
Great review! I’m 5’7 125lbs and most of the time side sleeper. I have a med firm coil bed and sometime my shoulder get lot pressure. I wonder if this bed will fit my need? summer I sleep warm.. so cooler features is a nice touch.
Hi -- thanks for the comment. You are a light person, so my guess is that a medium-firm is just too firm for you as a side sleeper. Sounds like you need much better pressure relief. If you check out our written page on the GhostBed Luxe, you'll see that we think it will work well for a side sleeper in your weight range in terms of pressure relief. See our detailed ratings here: www.goodbed.com/reviews/ghostbed-luxe-mattress-review/ Thanks for the comment and good luck!
Does this bed sleep too cool? I tend to get chilled pretty easily and am concerned that this would be too cold or have a damp feeling in the fabric? Whats your thought? Thank you for an informative review
Hi Coleen -- Thanks for your question. I can certainly understand your concern about this, given all the talk about "cool"-ness with mattresses these days, and with this mattress in particular. Temperature tends to be one of those highly personal things, but in general we have heard very few complaints about people being *too* cool on this mattress (or any mattress). As we describe in this video, there is certainly a palpable cool-ness to the touch when you first lay down on this mattress, but as you lie on it for a while, the excess heat from your body is absorbed by the phase change material (PCM). Once the heat absorption capacity of the PCM has been reached, it no longer "feels" cool. The idea is that this should take long enough that you will be asleep by the time this limit is reached, but the key point for you is that it doesn't keep pulling heat from you all night long. As for the "damp" feeling, I see how you could have this concern but I definitely don't think you will have that perception, especially once you have sheets on the bed. I hope that's helpful.
Hi Clarence. Thanks for the comment. In our reviews, we always talk about how suited a mattress will be to those in different weight zones. Our tester, Mike, weighs about 200 pounds, so he's not far off from you. You can also find our detailed ratings for sleeper types and positions on our written page for each bed. Here's the one for the GhostBed Luxe: www.goodbed.com/reviews/ghostbed-luxe-mattress-review/ You can find your weight range and preferred sleep position, and see our rating. Hope that helps!
Hi John. Thank you for the comment. I'm afraid that's a pretty impossible comparison. First, your Tempur-pedic is ten years old, and I can guarantee you that its firmness today is not the same as its firmness ten years ago. For a closer look at what we thought of the firmness of the GhostBed, please see our written report on it. Overall we judged it a Medium Firm on our scale, so a bit more firm than the average mattress. So if that's the type of feel you're looking for, you can also see our ratings for different types of sleepers: www.goodbed.com/reviews/ghostbed-mattress-review/ Hope that's helpful!
Hi there -- Thanks for your comment. I'm very sorry to hear that you haven't had a positive experience with this mattress. FYI, your feedback would be even more helpful if you would be willing to add this as a review on GoodBed, where people who are shopping for a mattress and looking for unbiased information will find it most easily. There are only a handful of owner reviews for the GhostBed Luxe, so it would be a big help to other readers. If you're willing, here is a direct link to where you can submit your review of this mattress: www.goodbed.com/review-mattress/model/ghostbed-luxe/
Oh, my... I was considering this mattress because of the SAME experience with a BRAND "NEW" mattress we just purchased. BOTTOM LINE... TOO SOFT- part of the issue?
This is the worst mattress after getting this I developed sciatica with severe leg pain 24/7 lower back pain needed a cane for walking was not able to work and customer service is nice when ur purchasing not once u own it and it sleeps really hot they say cooling gel that's bs
Hi Donya -- Thanks for your question. I think that the softness level of the GhostBed Luxe is pretty similar to the Alexander Signature Medium. In terms of construction, one of the big differences is that the GhostBed Luxe has less quilting above the memory foam, which makes the "memory feel" a bit more pronounced than it is on the Alexander Signature. In terms of pressure relief, they both have very good pressure relief but I think I'd give a slight nod to the GhostBed Luxe for people who are my weight or lighter due to the memory foam being closer to the top, whereas I'd probably give a slight nod to the Alexander Signature in that department for people who are heavier and/or pointier than me. You can see a more detailed discussion of pressure relief at about 9:07 in the video. In terms of other notable differences, I would say that the cooling features are certainly more prominent on the GhostBed Luxe than they are on the Alexander Signature. I hope that's helpful.
Its hard as a rock. I (210 and 6.2) and my wife (135 and 5.8) both could not adjust to this bed. If you sleep on your stomach perhaps ok. Otherwise I would avoid this bed.
You probably dont give a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can watch all the latest movies and series on InstaFlixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend for the last couple of months :)
Hi there -- Thanks for your question. No, presuming you have a mattress protector and/or fitted sheet, the elastic that goes under each corner of the bed will hold either of both of those in place just fine and there won't be any slippage on top of those.
They will eventually give you your money back but expect it to take six or seven weeks. Very unacceptable in 2020. They charged by card in 10 seconds and the credit should come the moment you give them the donation receipt. It will not. They will use the money for another month before they give it back to you. Might also mention that the Ghost Bed Luxe is like sleeping on the floor. Pretty much zero comfort.
Hi John. Thank you for the comment on your refund status. I'd agree that's a disappointingly long time for a refund. You could be helping other readers and mattress shoppers if you would take a moment and leave a review for the GhostBed Luxe on GoodBed. About halfway down this page there's a "write a review" button: www.goodbed.com/mattress-model/ghostbed-luxe/ As far as finding a mattress that will work for your body, have you taken our GoodBed quiz? Answer a few questions about your body type, sleep style and preferences and we can give you a short list of mattresses that are likely to fit your needs. Get started here: www.goodbed.com/mattress-finder/quiz/ Hope that helps!
Might I recommend curbing your use of "Ummm, Uhhhh, and Emm" in your videos? I was interested in the review which was decent, however my OCD would not let me leave it alone. I counted the number of times that you spewed out those phrases, and I count around 280. Do better=)
Hi Shane. Well, we aren't professional 'talking heads' -- just people that care passionately about mattresses. Thanks for your constructive criticism -- we are always trying to improve. (And actually if you take a look at some of our more recent videos, you'll find that Mike has improved a lot in his delivery).
This bed just showed up for me .. so far it’s pretty comfy can’t wait till bedtime.

Yes, I just got one and it’s hot! Once you lay on it for awhile it sinks in, I don’t like it at all.
Loved the description and facts concerning the bed but I didn't like the give I saw. I am 230 pounds and I need lots of support.

We have a 10yo Tempur-pedic 8" advantage (from Healthy Back store) . How would the firmness /support compare to this mattress?

I have one of these and it's a nightmare. Constantly waking up with lower back pain, shoulder pain, and this mattress sleeps warm.

The pink foam should have been latex or a firmer, high density foam for more support

Hi. You mentioned the top layer is slippery. After placing sheets on, do the sheets slip around?

Hi Mike. One more question. Which sleeping position is this mattress best suited for a person that is 6'2, 190?
