Being digital would have been a great idea to be able to support 3 or 4 Keepnets as it’s still difficult to keep an eye on the weight in each net during a match.
@@paulstacklereviews1695 I'm afraid £35 is more than l'd pay so a mark 2 is definitely out of the question for me. I have a manual no nonsense Preston leg mounter clicker and just a hand held digital stop watch . They'll do for my usage.

@paulstacklereviews1695 I don't think it's just matrix,I also have been waiting for a storm cover for my preston tray, I have it as a Xmas present nw, I waited for it since June to come available, Lots of tackle companies have shown off new products online, and then they haven't got these available I think it would make sense for the companies to have the products available the same time as they advertise the new products... Nytro is another!

I got it off eBay as soon as it was available, still a couple on eBay (postage to pay), given Matrix performance with restocking they may be out of stock for some time, so I’d get what you can if you want it. They will be very popular as I said in the video.
I can share your sentiments about the product releases and if i remember right Preston also released a launch the same week, i know that Matrix and Preston both use the same distributors who are based in Belgium so maybe that has a bearing on why its taking so long for these products to come out. Looking forward to some more videos thou
I think Matrix wanted to do the biggest product launch they had ever done, knowing many items wouldn’t be available for ages. I’d prefer them to do 2 product launches as things are actually available to buy!
Just seen your review Paul and was wondering about the screw thread ...is this plastic if so say you knocked it while on a stick ECT will,it easily snap...your thoughts
I wonder is it possible to swap the functions round, I known of similar devices where you can do this, Cycling computers are one of the devices , I think I'd rather have the stopwatch on the bottom in a larger display, Have you read all of the manual Paul.
The manual isn’t that big (looks bigger as it’s in various languages). I’ve used it a few times and you adjust to it quickly. If I’d been designing it I would have made all 3 things displayed the same size!
Typical Matrix supply issues. Haven’t been able to get slik elastic for months and before that could not get mudline floats. I try to stick to the same brand for consumables like floats and elastic so I know how much shot they take and how to balance my tackle. Then when you need replacement you can’t get it. Very tempted to permanently switch to a different brand.
It’s not just Matrix, but they are amongst the worst offenders. I couldn’t get Preston size 16 sfl hooks last year, severe shortage, tried Drennan Acolyte hook instead and now switched all my pole hooks to Drennan - there are consequences to stock shortages.
I think the buttons would be better the opposite way round….. counter buttons would be better on the front, easier to hit a button on the front than the side. Would just be my preferred way. Would have been a nice plus if you could assign the buttons yourself.

It’s £34.99 which I think is reasonable.
IP5X means it is shower proof whilst facing upwards(ie normal use) if that's any help.

It’s metal and looks very secure (within reason).

I wonder how long the battery will last? as there dosent seem anyway to turn off the display.
If you hold the two yellow buttons for 4 seconds it powers off, so hopeful the battery will last.

I agree intuitively the counter being at the bottom led me to believe the yellow buttons will be for the counter. I’ll get used to it in no time.
