I work in a doggie daycare and use the pups that come for practice. I am definitely going to try this! The parents will love it. Thank you so much for posting
Thanks Jessica! its a instructive video!!!! Love it. May I know how to deal with the reflection on the acrylic board? I have been tried many times, even I bought a CPL filter, it's still lot of reflection on the acrylic board. Thanks again : )
This is so much fun!!! I just tried it out with my own dog first then with some clients dogs and the results are hilarious!! Thankyou for another brilliant tutorial 💛💛💛👅
Thank you!!! Love your studio. B is so cute!!! They all are. I have a question. I know you are using a 20mm lens. Since you are working very close what is your aperture? Would it be in the f/11 or higher range? I find that working close even with a short focal length I have to be mindful of depth of field to get nose and eyes in focus. I'm limited to 24mm focal length right now. I love your 5 minute videos. I hope you still love doing them.
We love the studio too ❤️❤️ I started at f9 but that wasn't sufficient so moved to f11 which worked well for me. Glad you are enjoying the five minute Fridays and yes they have given me a new energy when it comes to these videos 🤓
Your website came up on my TH-cam, randomly, and what a gem. I love your dog licking video and the detailed presentation editing you created. Regarding your one handed operation, are you using back button focus and continuously holding it while you shoot? If on shutter button focus, then holding the button half way down? Thanks for the video. Connecticut, U.S.A.
Hi! Amazing video! Just wanted to know if there’s any videos or advice you could give/show me on my struggles in focus. How can I know exactly what stuff to focus on in complicated shots and how to sort get it sharp enough to look super professional.
hello sorry my bad english from google translate..., i found your channel by chance and i think you are brilliant, i will try to put into practice. In this case it is difficult to avoid the reflection
Love love your photoshoot process videos, it's so amazing. would it be possible to make a tutorial on editing these pictures. Apologies. if there are , I just have not seen them yet then. :)
Biggest problem would be shadows, working that close. I reckon with a fast enough shutter speed (say 1/1000) on a moderately closed down lens to give you enough depth of field , you could pull it off with a bright sun overhead, especially on a whitish surface like a concrete path or with a reflector. Only one way to find out for sure :)
Hi Jess, I was just wondering what editing app you use for your photos and if you could link it. Thank you so much, i love your videos they help so much :)
try to do it, first try: failed XDD use a 35mm for now I don't have exterior lighting and I was afraid to use the flash, besides my sheet was stained all the time and my dogs only gave two licks... I'll keep trying!
Mine is a 20mm but we do it with 24 also (full frame) - for focus, make sure eye AF is off and check the minimum focus distance of the lens also, you may be closer without realising. For reflections, the lights need to be a little further around to the sides working on reflection theory (we do have a video on that somewhere!) ☺️

What a job! that's such a great idea 🥰
Man, my job wouldn’t let me take photos of the dogs. I always wanted to sneak and snap photos of my favorites haha
My daughter thoroughly enjoyed watching you at the photography show Sunday, something she's now very interested in
That's really great to hear, thank you so much 🙏 hope your daughter continues to enjoy the content we put out there 😊

Sooooo cute! Do you have a preference on the Perspex thickness? Thanks for the fab video as always.
Thank you so much Ella 🥰 The sheet I used was 3mm thick

I am going to try this this week. I only have one light so I will try it with the one strobe and a home made reflector.
Thanks for this Jessica! I tried with my dogs last night 😅 it actually turned out pretty well!! ❤
Amazing feedback! great to hear you gave it a try 👌

Shutter only for focus with these, my hands can’t handle any more in this situation! all other shooting situations BBF only 🙌
all three of your dogs are great.....
All four of my dogs are great 😍
That looks fun; I'll definitely give that a go. Thanks.
No worries, can’t wait to see some of your results 🤓
@@ThatPhotographySpot nah, I'm shy I am :) that's why I never went pro 40 years ago after I studied photography, and went into science instead.
Well done, these are super cool 💛 🐾
Thank you 🙏
Very nice Shots!
How to clean the Glas between the Shoots?
I want to test this Kind of Shooting on an Event with many dogs...
I am absolutely going to try this! this is hilarious!
So much fun 😂.

There is an end to end edit from this exact shoot for the award winning image of Alfie inside our membership Vault 🙌
Super amazing
Thank you for your kind words, I am glad you enjoyed it 🤓
Very Enjoyable thank you
Thank you 🙏
Absolutely going to try this with DeirdreBarlow!
Have fun with it 🥰
Love it, Jess! Anyway to do it with natural light?

@@daemon1143 thank you!! and you're right! Might just have to give it a try!

Thank you so much for your kind words. We will have done some edits of the photos yeah 😊
The editing software we use is Lightroom and Photoshop 😊
!! Xylitol can also be labeled as Birch Sugar on some peanut butters!!
Are they both continuous the whole time?
What are you using to clean the sheet in between shots? I’m unsure what the best option would be. Just water and dry it?
Yeah water cleans it absolutely fine 😊
try to do it,
first try: failed XDD
use a 35mm for now
I don't have exterior lighting and I was afraid to use the flash, besides my sheet was stained all the time and my dogs only gave two licks... I'll keep trying!
Nice video, what size is the sheet? Thanks
Thank you 🙏 An A4 size sheet is fine, you have to remember you need to hold it for a while so you wouldn't want it to be too big/heavy 😊
Where did you get the Perspex? Ones on Amazon look a lot flimsier than yours? X
We got ours off ebay 😊
Thank for calling out the toxicity of Xylitol. Most people don’t know about it and it is incredibly toxic. Also, it is pronounced Zy-luh-tall
It is surprising how few people know about it and thank you for the pronunciation 🤓🙏🏼
You r awsome
Thank you 🙏🏼
where do you get the perspex sheet from? taaaaaa
eBay 🙈
@@ThatPhotographySpot thanks!!
Tried this today and failed miserably. Too much reflection coming back in and focus was all over the place. Not sure a 24mm lens is wide enough 😡

Also there’s a salmonella outbreak and jiffy recalled all of their PBs!
