This art style of disrupting the music and flow in a music video seems so ridiculous to me, as they know the video will be the 1 source of the song that gets the most attention on this platform. And as op said "but the beat is good" but they messed up the beats flow lol for a chart twist and cheering..? Did that really resonate so much with people it's worth diminishing the beat? Just saying I don't understand the logic/artistic direction used to justify the pause and curious of other people's opinion on the matter so I commented.
